New guidelines - we aren't allowed to refer to natal sex

According to KateMumsnet:

"We also thought it might be useful to clarify our thinking about general terms for trans people. Having said that TIM is not okay, it seems a bit illogical to allow other terms which hang upon natal sex."

Well that's that really, isn't it.

We are all being told to pretend that men have become women.

Am I going to be deleted/banned for this post?

Maryz we haven't been asked to put in the space. I don't think we will be asked. I won't put in the space. Ever. Same as I won't use 'cis'. We are not a subsection of women. We are women.

SMG
Biological sex is determined at conception and recorded at birth
The very small number of babies born with ambiguous genitalia are assigned a sex at birth for the purposes of recording only. As Maryz has pointed out, intersex people object strongly to attempts to subsume them under the 'trans' umbrella
Man = Adult human male
Woman = Adult human female
Male = of the sex that produces sperm
Female = of the sex that produces ova and gestates young
A transwoman remains biologically male
A transman remains biologically female
A man can not become a woman.

Joan yes, I think disengaging is often the best way.

bore

I do hope you are right and that poster to which you refer has gone for good

I did report someone yesterday but only asking could i call and obvious liar a liar...or could i call them a liar if they dont have proof. I dont think ive had a reply yet, but im sure they are really busy at the moment

But now I'm worried about reporting in case im being that vexatious thing they said

Beamur · 16/06/2018 19:39

I think some of the posts that purport to be asking a question are basically traps to get someone to say something 'wrong' and are probably best avoided. I'm mostly a lurker and occasional poster and appreciate the dissemination and discussion of the wider spectrum of feminism on this forum.

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 16/06/2018 19:41

Goodness yes beamur

There was one the other day and posts were being made in good faith

But they obviously werent saying what the OP wanted (no screenshots for them Sad) and the OP threw their toys out of the pram

It was very funny...well, to me anyway

Rufus I reported GibberingIdiot quite a bit. Said I didn't feel,s/he was posting in good faith. I'm sure I wasn't the only one Grin.

The next day, GI didn't put in an appearance but there was another poster saying very similar things in a very similar style, so reported again. Quite a few times. I pointed out the similarities in posts too.

Today, neither of them seem to be around, so far anyway.

I did worry a bit that I might be reporting too much but I think MNHQ can probably tell who is being vexatious and who isn't.
