Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

I just peak-trans'd again!

Who knew peak-transing could be like multiple orgasms?

Anyway just have to share my story. I was just removed from a feminist Facebook group after someone posted about Trans claiming “they are women” and I replied they weren’t.

Someone then called me a “terf” and “trash” and then > I < got removed despite the fact I didn't use any slurs, call anyone names, just stated that me agreeing that trans-women are women is tantamount to claiming 2+2=5 in Orwell's 1984.

I'd peak-trans'd long ago but this is the icing on my womanly (cause y'know, wimminz love to bake) cake.

Oops, new to the board!

Here is the Stonewall quote:

"Trans

An umbrella term to describe people whose gender is not the same as, or does not sit comfortably with, the sex they were assigned at birth.
Trans people may describe themselves using one or more of a wide variety of terms, including (but not limited to) transgender, transsexual, gender-queer (GQ), gender-fluid, non-binary, gender-variant, crossdresser, genderless, agender, nongender, third gender, two-spirit, bi-gender, trans man, trans woman, trans masculine, trans feminine and neutrois."

Picassospaintbrush · 12/06/2018 16:44

Stonewall have renamed it Daim. Its called gender fluid or gender expression now, nicely sanitised for the general public to swallow.

No mention of the fetish. Trans people deny it exists, as clearly they are a bit embarrassed. Caitlyn Jenner has mentioned having used his own daughters underwear.

GibbertyFlibbert · 12/06/2018 16:45

"They are people with AIS aren't they? Like the man with one leg they are anomalous. That’s fine. We don't have to redefine the whole human race as amphibians because my ex boyfriend had webbed toes."

I notice you are ducking the question. Are they men or women?

BettyDuMonde · 12/06/2018 16:48

I notice you are ducking the question. Are they men or women?

Depends on the way their syndrome manifests individually. In these cases, it really is a medical assignation. Not the assignation of a few anonymous internet users.

Is your partner intersexed? Is that why you have such an interest in it?

Picassospaintbrush · 12/06/2018 16:49

Does anyone need to bother Gibberty? Clearly you are through the looking glass here.

ElenOfTheWays · 12/06/2018 16:50

The universe needs to bring back David Bowie ASAP.

Yes to this. Although tbf, I'd agree with this with or without all the Trans bollocks.

Can we get him to pick up Freddie Mercury on his way?

As for Daim et al. Same drivel, different day. Not heard a single original argument from them yet. Yawn!

walnutwood · 12/06/2018 16:51

@dinosaursandtea How do you define a woman?

CertainHalfDesertedStreets · 12/06/2018 16:53

I'm not ducking the question. I'm saying it's a stupid fucking question which you clearly think is 'Aha! I have you here in my power GC feminists - Mwahahahaha' but is actually just idiotic.

8 billion people in the world and none of them have any difficulty working out what a man or a woman is EVERY SINGLE TIME. If you do well... something wrong there clearly.

Or maybe you're one of those people who 'doesn't see race.'

LunaTrap · 12/06/2018 16:53

I was under the impression that groups representing intersex people had repeatedly asked not to be brought into the trans debate. Why are you dragging various groups into your argument to validate your delusion than men can become women?

PsychoPumpkin · 12/06/2018 16:54

I was removed from a face book group entitled ‘we get it you’re very unfamiliar with, and possibly even afraid of, vaginas’.

The admins posted about only using inclusive language regarding vaginas because ‘not everyone who has a vagina is female’ (phrases like women’s parts or lady parts for example would incur a ban).

My response was ‘the vagina is a female sex organ’ and I was banned within a couple of minutes but not before I was told to catch fire and called a TERF.

My loss, clearly. Wink

GibbertyFlibbert - does the DSM detail fetishes???

Amazingly, it seems the answer is yes.

Specific Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5) criteria

Diagnosis of transvestic disorder requires the following:

Patients have been repeatedly and intensely aroused by cross-dressing; arousal is expressed in fantasies, intense urges, or behaviors.

These fantasies, intense urges, or behaviors cause significant distress or impair functioning at work, in social situations, or in other important areas.

CertainHalfDesertedStreets · 12/06/2018 16:58

Just feel sorry for you really.

Are we reading the same thread? Grin

OldCrone · 12/06/2018 17:02

No organisation is suggesting men with AGP are under the trans umbrella.

Crossdressers are under the trans umbrella. Why do men crossdress?

Ihaventgottimeforthis · 12/06/2018 17:02

GibbertyFlibbert not envy, no.
It seems to me that if transwomen were sympathetic with, and reallyunderstood the discrimination society places upon women, they wouldn't be so adamant that everyone needs to believe they actually are of the female sex. They would understand why women are so determined to protect female identity, spaces, rights & voices.
The fact that many transwomen do not understand or hear womens' voices makes it clear to me that they do not experience society as we do.

Picassospaintbrush · 12/06/2018 17:07
Grin Having spent the weekend with the ex wife of an autogyneaphilia I'm sad they do exist tbh.

Daim, so pretending these men don't exist is your approach? So in future we can all read your posts in that context, you have your fingers in your ears and are going lalala?

What Transparent on Amazon Prime, its all about an autogyneaphile and what he does to his family.

GibbertyFlibbert · 12/06/2018 17:07

"I was under the impression that groups representing intersex people had repeatedly asked not to be brought into the trans debate. Why are you dragging various groups into your argument to validate your delusion than men can become women?"

But the debate is the gender critical assertion on this thread that XX=female and XY=male. So, once again, are the people on that page male or female?

Picassospaintbrush · 12/06/2018 17:08

Watch

iamawoman · 12/06/2018 17:08

Dont these individuals have a biological basis to their condition? Therefore a bit more than a feeling, a sexual fetish, denial of their sexuality, cooler than being a lesbian etc. A male who has been socialised as male, who needs to undergo radical surgery, take hormones for life to try and be woman , who has no natural primary or secondary sexual characteristics of a female is a male.

GibbertyFlibbert · 12/06/2018 17:09

"The fact that many transwomen do not understand or hear womens' voices makes it clear to me that they do not experience society as we do."

So you believe that the worth of a woman depends entirely on how well her body conforms to your personal ideal for a woman?

mancheeze · 12/06/2018 17:09

Since when has feminism only been about trans bashing and peak transing.

It's always been about women and men are not women.

The bottom line is that people watch these conversations and see who shuts threads down, who antagonizes women, and, more importantly, who produces the best and most logical arguments.

GibbertyFlibbert · 12/06/2018 17:10

@Iamawoman you claimed those with XY are men. I have presented you with some examples. Are they male or female?

Battleax · 12/06/2018 17:12

Gib intersex is a (physical) medical condition.

Stop using people with intersex as a rhetorical human shield for a self ID campaign.

Kyanite · 12/06/2018 17:13

I agree, there seems to be no limit to the amount of peaking that can happen.

I have heard similar cases of women being thrown out off Facebook feminist groups for stating facts and asking questions, without the intention to upset people.

LunaTrap · 12/06/2018 17:13

I think it is you who believes that gibberty since you were happy to throw certain groups of women into the mix as reasons why men should be accepted as women. Lesbians and butch women were fair game to you. I've seen similar said about disabled and black women more than once, their womanhood questioned in such an offensive way.
