Woman gets written up by HR for having menstrual products in her car

Turns out that the coworker who complained was a transwoman. The complaining part is sadly not a surprise, since we already know that some transwomen think women are being female at them out of spite, but the fact that HR actually took the complaint seriously and wrote the letter writer up for having personal care items in a bag in her car rather than explaining to the complainer that the complaint was unreasonable is not exactly a great sign in terms of how workplaces are handling complaints relating to trans issues.

It does sound made up. And I see nothing in there about it being a transperson that complained?

The blog owner stated in the comments that the complainant was trans, and that set off a storm of well this changes everything please stop making jokes about wearing diva cups as earrings because that would be offensive.

I still don't believe a word of it.

(Shrugs) That blog owner is usually pretty good at picking out which letters are legit, but no way to prove either way. Just thought it was an interesting scenario in terms of the current pressure to be super sensitive to all things trans putting HR departments in a position where they probably will make the wrong call sometimes.

I've read another good one from that site. Will dig it out.

I had a short email exchange with the letter writer, and the person who complained, the HR person, and her boss who wrote her up are all women. (For the sake of being thorough, she also mentioned the coworker who complained is a transgender woman, but I don’t think that changes anything.)

And yeah, let's not use slurs, please.

I object to the term terf, but I do think it's a ridiculous alarmist made-up story. Never happened.

I shop and don’t buy bags so packs of pads are on display on the front seat. Obviously I’m not trying to display them. Just no need to hide them either. Ridiculous!

Why would it be made up to discredit trans people if the original posting didn't mention that the complainant was trans?
