Lily Madigan - to celebrate 300 women leaving LP with a party

LaSqrrl · 13/05/2018 00:49

The facebook event now seems removed, but Feminist Current does have the screenshot before it disappeared.

Constituency Labour Party Women’s Officer for Rochester and Strood, Lily Madigan, a trans-identified male, plans to host a party to celebrate women leaving the Labour Party in protest of Labour’s policy allowing men to self-identify their way onto all women candidate shortlists.

(Sorry if this one has been posted before, I looked, but could not see a matching thread)

I am posting this to illustrate that TRAs do not want to join 'Class Woman', but to take over 'Class Woman' and throw out the existing inhabitants, then celebrate their victory over women (eg 'enjoy your erasure'). This is why 'we cannot get along' and have zero in common with them.

Ian Huntly is a man and a child murderer. He is not and never will be a women.

UrsulaPandress · 15/05/2018 11:09

Sheesh they deleted my post.

I am still Spartacus and will never ever ever refer to a man as she.

BlooperReel · 15/05/2018 11:13

Ian Huntley, is, and always will be a man. A murdering, disgraceful, stain on the face of humanity, MALE.

I would dearly love that cretin to try and sue anyone for that. Peak trans the world in one fell swoop.

Popchyk · 15/05/2018 11:33

But if Ian Huntley says he is a woman then he is a woman surely?

That's all it takes.

What about this person? Gary Cooper. Doing 14 years for a series of sexual assaults on children, including raping a 12 year old.

link

Next trial is on June 2nd where this person is on trial for 50 further sexual assaults on a child under 13. This person is now called Carrie.

link

But don't worry folks.

This never happens.

Juells · 15/05/2018 11:37

Hertford woman to face trial after being accused of 50 sexual assaults on girl

See, women sexually assault little girls just as much as men do Hmm

whyaresquishiesnotsquishy · 15/05/2018 13:03

I can't explain how angry this makes me.

No, just no.

"A woman has denied repeatedly sexually assaulting a child over a period of five years in Hertford.

Carrie Cooper, formerly known as Gary Cooper, faces one charge of sexual touching and ten counts of sexual activity with a child under the age of 13 years old in Hertford between March 2007 and March 2012."

How dare they say it's a woman doing this? This is a male crime. Men do this to women, girls and boys.

Women should never have to call any sexual abusive man, she. Nor should our reputation as women be tarnished by such heinous crimes.

ToeToToe · 15/05/2018 13:24

How dare they say it's a woman doing this? This is a male crime. Men do this to women, girls and boys.

Yes.

And I suppose Mumsnet will delete posts calling this sex offending transwoman by the so-called "wrong" (ie. correct) pronoun.

HQ are you mad? Are you childsexoffendersupportnet or a fucking parenting website?

BlackeyedSusan · 15/05/2018 13:26

when they sound like a duck man, they look like a duck man and swim behave like a duck man... they are a duck man

perhaps they should be called ducks?

SardineReturns · 15/05/2018 13:28

If there is ONE thing women dont' tend to do nearly so much as men, it is commit sex offences.

The vast majority of women have been victims of male sex offenders, at some point along the scale of seriousness, and mostly more than once. This is the background to the lives of girls and women all over the world.

I agree, it enrages me when they put these fuckers in with us, whether it's by naming them as women, or god forbid actually locking them in with women in prison.

Sex offenders are SCUM and they are a very male problem, no surpise that men in general are happy to ship them over and pretend that "women do it too" and all the rest. Properly enraging.

SardineReturns · 15/05/2018 13:31

So we are predominantly the victims, and most of us are affected, mostly more than once, and we know who does this shit, and we know it isn't us,

And so we get
Police don't care
Society doesn't care
And now we are being told that it it's not even true that it's men, it's us doing it to ourselves.

Yeah fuck that all the way.

Genuinely infuriating.

MEN you need to OWN the weirdos in your ranks not put them in with us FFS. They are your problem.

whyaresquishiesnotsquishy · 15/05/2018 13:32

Can we campaign the media to stop calling sex attackers by their preferred pronouns?

It's such an insult to women. We should not accept this. It's a total distortion of the truth.

ToeToToe · 15/05/2018 13:36

Yes - I'd be involved in that campaign. This is an utter to disgrace - these crimes have been committed by a man. And this is not the only case.

These men either have, or are, transitioning to be transwomen - but we're told there's nothing to be frightened of - self ID'ing men should be just welcomed into women's spaces? Go pee on someone else's leg and tell them it's raining.

Yes, Vaggie, his crime will go under the women's statistics.

SirVixofVixHall · 15/05/2018 14:02

I’d support that campaign too. Imagine a girl in court having to call her rapist “she”. It is bloody disgraceful. Already happened with Maria Maclachlan and her attacker. Mumsnet may be well intentioned with this policy but this is where it ends up, a woman or girl, in court, A victim of male violence, having to include her attacker in her own sex class. I find that truly disgusting. Soon we will need units for “female sex offenders “ . This needs to end now.

changeypants · 15/05/2018 14:44

i think this needs a campaign too. it is so staggeringly, deeply, offensive for child abusers to call themselves women given the huge cost at which women bring and nurture life on this planet. i cannot comprehend how it is allowed. it is like the fucking kkk calling themselves black fgs.

OldmanOfTheWeb2 · 15/05/2018 15:18

Can I just clarify this? My post will be deleted if I refer to a man as a man (he/him/his) if that man identifies as a woman?

OldmanOfTheWeb2 · 15/05/2018 15:30

I should have read further as my question is answered.

In that case, I can say that my time on MN is likely to be short. In the history of martyrs, people have endured some pretty horrendous things. It would be kind of pathetic if I bowed down for the sake of being kicked of a website!

To be clear, whether someone can choose what sex they are and force you to accept it, is the crux of the dispute. To prevent someone from calling someone what their sex is, is to declare that argument over and lost. I cannot accept that - in a battle over language, people MUST be able to speak as they wish.

Juells · 15/05/2018 16:17

@VaggieMight

I know 6 rapes were recorded as committed by 'women' last year, does anyone know when the first ever rape in the UK was recorded as being committed by a woman?

I remember a case years ago of a woman becoming obsessed with one of the young Mormons who travel to do their missionary work. She kidnapped him and tied him up for about a week and forced him to have sex with her. May have been in London?

RooKangaroo · 15/05/2018 16:52

Sorry, am I understanding this correctly?

If a man commits a crime like rape/sexual abuse but then identifies as trans woman before conviction, the crime is recorded in the national statistics as crime by a woman???

BetsyM00 · 15/05/2018 16:53

I am fairly certain cases such as this would be prosecuted under sexual assault, not rape.

The only cases where a woman has been charged with rape are joint enterprise crimes, where the woman has assisted a man to rape, and there was one such case within the last year.

BetsyM00 · 15/05/2018 16:53

Roo - yes.

JoanSummers · 15/05/2018 17:02

I notice that women are calling Ian Huntley by his male name and using male pronouns but those posts remain up.

So why are there special rules around Madigan and Jenner and Willoughby and Lees, etc?

Someone from Mumsnet needs to answer this. If we aren't allowed to use male pronouns for male people then Mumsnet need to be up front that women here are expected to call Huntley she and they'll be deleted and possibly excluded if they don't.

I dont think they will do that because they know the mainstream media and women throughout this site will be in uproar about it.

They can't hold both positions. If we cant to call Madigan he then we can't call Huntley he. Deal with the repercussions of that or let women speak.

whyaresquishiesnotsquishy · 15/05/2018 17:08

JoanSummers mumsnet have made it clear that there isn't a blanket rule. They look at intent.

Also, they don't scan the boards looking for breeches of talk guidelines, they wait for reports then make a decision.

They're never going to delete all posts that infringe a set of guidelines, without looking at the context. They don't aim to do that.
