I see from Twitter that SF is "an LGBTQ comedian".

I don't think I knew that.

FlaviaAlbia · 02/05/2018 15:10

Somehow its still actual women who are expected to do the shitwork and talk about it and makeup remover . Funny that.

53rdWay · 02/05/2018 15:11

speaking out about the fact that only women get branded TERFs, whereas men can be as genuinely and traditionally transphobic as they like and no-one pulls them up on it at all.

Glad they’re speaking out on it, and I hope more people start to listen. I don’t think it’ll make much headway with the people getting furious at Mumsnet for talking about more than prams and nappies. But if even one person starts to ask themselves “hang on a minute, why ARE we treating the women here so differently to the men?” it might plant a seed of thought at least.

Got it in one!

SparklyMagpie · 02/05/2018 15:12

How incredibly sad. Who's got the time to trawl the internet and social media looking for it?....oh wait

DisturblinglyOrangeScrambleEgg · 02/05/2018 15:12

Are we going to have to start doing that thing you do once the kids can read and you have to be more inventive than spelling the words?

The Chicken is In the Basket. Repeat, The Chicken is In the Basket.

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 02/05/2018 15:13

What's the URL for that petition to stop people trying to shut women up again?

ErrolTheDragon · 02/05/2018 15:14

This one?

PermissionToSpeakSir · 02/05/2018 15:14

Oh yes. Spontaneous - maybe we could set up a bulletin board with a 'ticketing system' where mums can list all of the female shitwork tasks we want to identify out of, then SF and others who identify as female can log in to choose the tickets to work on!

It would be hugely affirming for them and massively liberating for us! and might make the trans boycotting of birdseye make a bit more sense

53rdWay · 02/05/2018 15:16

yes, Disturbingly. Suggest we use nappy brands as codewords for feminist concepts, then they’ll think we’re back in our rightful place wittering about trivial boring stuff and leave us alone.

Lefthanddown · 02/05/2018 15:17

Some people must have a lot of time on their hands if they can spend all day looking for references about themselves and tweeting advertiser's.

Shame they can't find something more productive and worthwhile to do.

Lemonjello · 02/05/2018 15:17

This erasure is very enjoyable! Particularly noeffingidea’s

On the subject of erasure, I can highly recommend a Staedtler Mars plastic eraser for any pencil-based erasure needs shon may have.
Tippex also is also the business, although it is more strictly a masking product rather than an erasure product so I’m not sure if it would fit the bill.
Photoshop do a good selection of erasers for any digital erasure requirements, you can have a block, pencil or brush and they are very customisable. Tutorials are available on YouTube for how to use.

HTH

spontaneousgiventime · 02/05/2018 15:18

PermissionToSpeakSir Why do I get the feeling they would suddenly screech sexist if that happened then run for the hills. Grin

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 02/05/2018 15:18

Thanks Errol. Just for the lurkers. Especially those who like fish fingers

PermissionToSpeakSir · 02/05/2018 15:19

Suggest we use nappy brands as codewords for feminist concepts

Pampers =Patriarchy
Huggies = Women-only space
...

R0wantrees · 02/05/2018 15:20

Is calling someone a knob a gendered insult?

-I would add that one of my best friends (female) called me (female) this recently when I put the dirty knife in the freezer and the frozen herbs in the dishwasher.

OlennasWimple · 02/05/2018 15:20

Did you know in the US it's always "eraser" rather than "rubber", the latter being slang for a condom?

InLoveWithDavidTennant · 02/05/2018 15:20

Does SF really not have anything better to do?

On a more sincere note this level of obsession is really really unhealthy for shon. If they were a friend of mine I would suggest they take a step back and go for a run/walk/whatever.

Seriously who has time for this shit.

PermissionToSpeakSir · 02/05/2018 15:26

I've been thinking - this is a fantastic way of getting around blocking bots isn't it?

In the effort to suppress gender-critical thought they'll be endlessly reading it. It will be quite an education for them.

Perhaps we should be taking advantage of the extra scrutiny?

Those of us who don't have/have never had babies to take care of are going to need a glossary.

ErrolTheDragon · 02/05/2018 15:29

A bit ageist, some of us are well past the pram&nappy stage. Though (is it just me?) I feel 'Quinny buzz' is a prime candidate for repurposing.
