Anyone with student gender critical children who could apply to go?

Ellenripleysalienbaby · 16/03/2018 08:10

Why under 30?

How is Paris Lees getting so much exposure?!

mypoosmellsofroses · 16/03/2018 08:38

Ooh I have a 24 yr old who is very GC , not sure he could be trusted not to get sweary about the issue, but will see what he is up to next week and have a chat

TerfyTerfyTerfy · 16/03/2018 08:40

Paris has gotten money and training from private U.K. foundations under the guise of being a "social activist" . Including media training and other exposures . Paris gets plenty of opportunities to talk about themselves

TerfyTerfyTerfy · 16/03/2018 08:42

Plenty of chat on the feminism board about the US funding of this cause but no one is following the money in the U.K. to be fair plenty of it is coming from US private foundations but there are U.K. sources of money too. Incl Lloyd's bank internal staff funding Mermaids and other corporates through their LGBT staff groups

LineysOfArabia · 16/03/2018 08:44

Questiontime is recorded 'as live' a few hours before it's actually broadcast iirc

LineysOfArabia · 16/03/2018 09:06

How to apply and more info

@TerfyTerfyTerfy

Can we have a separate thread about that? I think it's worth discussing and researching more.

BeyondDeadlySiren · 16/03/2018 11:23

Is Paris under 30? Confused
(For some reason it isn't easy to find the answer to this on Google)

Under 30 for this specific one? How weird, not.

LineysOfArabia · 16/03/2018 11:59

I wonder who the other panellists will be. Not Owen bloody Jones again? Hopefully Lily Madigan Grin

Quite like wee Mhairi Black though.

Ereshkigal · 16/03/2018 12:02

Ask Paris if going to prison for a violent assault on an elderly man taught Paris anything about the nature of male violence.

Cocolepew · 16/03/2018 12:03

The only time Paris will see 30 again is on a door Hmm

Bejazzled · 16/03/2018 12:07

Quite like wee Mhairi Black though

It would be good to ask her if she felt she let down her constituents by not joining their campaign to prevent the closure of the local and much used children's ward.

PositivelyPERF · 16/03/2018 12:12

They want an under 30 audience because there’s less chance of having genuine feminists in the audience. They also know that all those wonderful women and transsexuals who have spoke at the women’s meetings are over the age of 30 so that rules them out. There’s more chance of the under 30s having swallowed this ‘trans women are women’ nonsense, so it’s going to to be a very pro trans audience. They will only have questions that are easy for the trans brigade to answer, so they will be questions that will help the agenda.

This isn’t a QUESTION Time program, this is going to be a pro trans program.

Bejazzled · 16/03/2018 12:12

mumsnet

You deleted my play on words, in case you don't know The trans-pennine Express is an actual train service that serves Leeds Maybe you are so London-centric that you didn't know that!

There are other uses for the word trans you know Hmm

Ereshkigal · 16/03/2018 12:24

If anyone can't see the blatant social engineering the BBC is trying to pull off by restricting the QT audience to people under 30 they are blind. Is Paris Lees the average 29 year old? No. They are playing to an even younger audience. They should have made it under 25. I hope there are some sensible twentysomethings in the audience.

Ellenripleysalienbaby · 16/03/2018 12:25

So we don't know who else is going to be on the panel? Does Paris?

Please let them put someone amazing on there. David Davies won't have any credibility because he is so anti gay rights.

Ellenripleysalienbaby · 16/03/2018 12:26

Yes, it's so fucking transparent isn't it?!

Ereshkigal · 16/03/2018 12:27

I'll reserve judgement but will be likely making a complaint about this I think.

LangCleg · 16/03/2018 12:29

Ask Paris if going to prison for a violent assault on an elderly man taught Paris anything about the nature of male violence.

Or, more accurately, Ask Paris if going to prison for a violent assault on an elderly man who subsequently died taught Paris anything about the nature of male violence.

bookgirl1982 · 16/03/2018 12:32

The week that you want Julia HB on the panel...

Ereshkigal · 16/03/2018 12:33

Thank you! I know, just don't have a source so wanted to fact check first before saying it. Is there a source we can definitely quote on this, that the man died? Are details of the court case available anywhere?

Ereshkigal · 16/03/2018 12:33

The week that you want Julia HB on the panel...

Absolutely. Please let that happen!
