Cue the BBC pro self-I.d. propaganda. I'll bet right now that no one on the panel will have the guts to challenge and question. I don't think the BBC will have anyone on to provide balance.

I'm not far from Leeds, what's the process for getting in the audience? Is it recorded live and do you have to submit your question to be approved (you can change it at the last min tho right?)

Of course you can. If TIMs can excuse their behaviour because they are going through puberty (yes they have used that excuse), then all you have to do is say you became a ‘man’ 25yrs ago, so really you are a man under 30. 😉

I dont see what the problem is if people want to self id as under 30. Play them at their own game i say

You'll find how to apply online. I went once but quite a while ago! They called back and asked a few questions about what areas we were interested in, voting preferences etc so they can establish balance. When we arrived cards were given out to write questions on. Those chosen were advised before filming.
Would advise sitting somewhere prominent and being bold at putting up hand and keeping it up to get opportunity for follow-up questions...
