This is the petition asking the government to consult with women on the proposals to enshrine gender identity in law.

Oh that's good cloud tree but I expect he may find the link interesting anyway.

cloudtree · 15/03/2018 10:17

But that link is a bit dodgy tbh. Having looked at it more closely the article is not entirely objective (although certainly highlights some extremely valid concerns) and that doesn't help the cause in the long run.

Riverside2 · 15/03/2018 10:26

Oh suited, sorry, I thought you meant set it up and do it immediately.

LoveYouSo · 15/03/2018 10:40

Signed and shared

Mner · 15/03/2018 10:45

@SexMattersUK on twitter has just tweeted the link to the petition.

Mner · 15/03/2018 10:48

We need a decent hashtag

cloudtree · 15/03/2018 10:56

#alwaysdebate

TheMostBeautifulDogInTheWorld · 15/03/2018 10:58

I was tweeting the petition yesterday evening under the #waronwomen hashtag that was associated with the House Of Commons meeting. (it's a tag that is used for a lot of campaigns but yesterday evening was almost exclusively about the meeting).

Mner · 15/03/2018 11:04

I'll add those into the mix

IsAnyoneElseMissingCheese · 15/03/2018 11:05

Signed, number 4774 :) will get DH on it later!

DontCisgenderMe · 15/03/2018 11:13

I'm not on Twitter so I'm not entirely sure how it works. Do you just tweet to an audience of followers, or can you tweet directly to people, like writing on their Facebook wall? And if so, can people who follow them see your tweet?

What I'm getting at is would it be visible to anyone else if we tweeted a link to the petition to high profile people with lots of followers?

SuitedandBooted · 15/03/2018 11:24

USING TWITTER

Google "Who sees my Tweets"

Loads of easy to use info - sorry just going out so no time to write proper answer!

NoSquirrels · 15/03/2018 11:35

Your tweets only go to your followers - unless you begin the tweet with @FamousPerson and tweet them directly - but then just FamousPerson will see it and can choose to ignore it. The only was @FamousPerson’s followers will see it is if they choose to retweet it.

cloudtree · 15/03/2018 11:42

Northwest Hampshire's gone orange!!

RIght - come on Staffordshire Moorlands. You're next!

cloudtree · 15/03/2018 11:50

Glasgow East?? Come on Glasgow East, I don't believe there are no feminists in Glasgow East.

DarthArts · 15/03/2018 13:09

Have you seen this? Smile

The self-ID petition is now live!
SweetGrapes · 15/03/2018 13:17

Yay! Go David Davies Grin

Melamin · 15/03/2018 13:19

Only 11 grey areas - there were 25 yesterday morning. No idea why they are so persistent.

Mner · 15/03/2018 13:21

Is it slower today or am I impatient? Keep clicking on it hoping to see it change to £5000

Yay! (re David Davies!)

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 15/03/2018 13:21

Lewisham is doing well too! In fact lewisham Deptford is in the lead!!
Lewisham and Deptford council covers the area where Millwall FC football ground is. There’s probably a fair few locals who didn’t previously give a toss about this issue until a bunch of aggressive TRAs forced the club to abandon that meeting. The average Millwall fan doesn’t like being told what to think, (do you, Dad?Smile)

Ohyesihavepeaked · 15/03/2018 13:27

I have just signed but the email link hasn't come through????
Does it take a while?

Mner · 15/03/2018 13:28

It will be in your junk file

BeyondDeadlySiren · 15/03/2018 13:28

If you # famous people instead of @ them, then anyone who searches their name will see it Wink

Ohyesihavepeaked · 15/03/2018 13:31

not in junk either. Perhaps I'll just sign again.

seafoodeatit · 15/03/2018 13:37

I'm really glad to see David Davies tweeting his support, hopefully it'll inspire some more MPs to speak out.
