The email address was taken from their twitter account which is here:

@LibDemWoman - can you help? You were great to speak at the meeting. Could you convince anyone in the Lib Dems to change their policy on women?

I cannot vote Labour now 😭 but nor can I ever vote Tory. The Greens can stick 'non-men' up their SJW bums, and WEP have made their position v clear.

The Lib Dems could really gain some support here, I am sure of it. Would people vote for them if the were anti-self ID? I know I would. What do you think?

MacaroonMama · 06/03/2018 19:56

I have emailed mayday4women to let them know.

I think Labour are breaking the law because of the Equality Act.

CertainHalfDesertedStreets · 06/03/2018 20:30

Let's consider how many other policies have been steam rolled through on the basis of the strength of the opposition?

Thinking.....thinking....thinking....

For the love of God someone tweet him that.

OlennasWimple · 06/03/2018 20:39

I feel like joining LAbour jsut so that I can resign in protest

TallulahWaitingInTheRain · 06/03/2018 20:57

It's a fucker isn't it

lucydogz · 06/03/2018 21:33

I contacted to my female Labour MP about this. No response, not even an acknowledgement. and I've always thought she was pretty good.

Mouthtrousersafrocknowandthen · 06/03/2018 21:41

Labour by definition did not include women from the beginning. Labour was about paid labour, women gave unpaid labour.

ChocolateCoveredGrapes · 06/03/2018 21:42

I don't see myself ever voting for anyone ever again after this. Spoilt ballots from now on.

Floisme · 06/03/2018 21:52

Me too and I've been voting labour for 40-odd years, through thick and thin.

I've disagreed with them many times before but this is different. This time I've seen a different side to them: misogynistic, bullying, anti free speech, anti facts. And I don't think I can ever un-see it.

I feel very, very sad but we are so over. In the words of Carrie Bradshaw, 'We need a new word for 'over'.'

ChocolateCoveredGrapes · 06/03/2018 21:58

I am proud of all the others who fought this evil, it was an honour to know such souls.

Mouthtrousersafrocknowandthen · 06/03/2018 22:25

We have reached the point where the implications of self expression, coercion, mental health, healthcare, equality and representation have melded into something very few people can navigate. This is a self actualisation dilemma that politics cannot deal with. Women as a sex must deal with this, we must build on what we we do already. We always have had power and we have always had it taken away from us. Stop participating in that. 8 billion humans, 4 billion male, 4 billion female.

The 4 billion female cohort will not accept any more transgressions. The 4 billion men are going to have to listen and and catch up pronto. Its a project for them, women are the project manager, men are the analysts. They can tell us what they propose and we will decide it they they have found the right answer.

They will not do that unless we set out clear instructions on how we expect this to be managed. I do think it is the females sex's duty to make this absolutely clear. We cannot rely on them to figure this out. They have demonstrated their inability to do this repeatedly.

Our boundaries must be recognised. They have no choice. Stop giving them a choice.

ChocolateCoveredGrapes · 06/03/2018 22:30

The rest of the world will see what we achieved, we will win this, we keep going because we will inspire.

TerfyMcTerface · 06/03/2018 22:37

Just published on the Guardian website: Harriet Harman hails the rise of feminist MPs. In the Tory party. Well, it wasn’t going to be in her own party, was it?

thebewilderness · 06/03/2018 23:40

They found some women's right they can all get behind. "Transwomen's" rights. Kinda like women only better cuz they are men.

miri1985 · 07/03/2018 00:09

Does anyone know did Corbyn ever talk to Linda Bellos about this like he said he would?

OlennasWimple · 07/03/2018 00:40

I just put this on another thread, so apols for the duplication, but Pligrim has just had this published in the Huff Post about why Labour has got this wrong

UpstartCrow · 07/03/2018 00:48

miri1985 Linda was surprised there has been an announcement so I assume that means he hasn't.

HelenaDove · 07/03/2018 01:03

I TOTALLY agree with Upstart Crow The demonization of social housing tenants has got much worse over the past 8 years.

woman11017 · 07/03/2018 06:59

Women, especially carer women, are the penurious class. Money talks. Labour is only listening to the men with money from all quarters. Inside and outside the party.

SnibbleAgain · 07/03/2018 10:23

Has this announcement actually happened yet then?

OvaHere · 07/03/2018 10:29

I read elsewhere it was going to be announced tomorrow to coincide with International Womens Day.

Which seems likely because it's the ultimate in gaslighting behaviour.

LangCleg · 07/03/2018 10:29

My CLP is even worse, TruScum. They think self-ID is a crock of shite but are too intimidated to pass a motion against it. I'm so infuriated by the sheer cowardice.

RedToothBrush · 07/03/2018 10:33

It'll be tomorrow to prove how they are oh so progressive about 'extending the rights of women'.

Whilst throwing them under the bus.

OvaHere · 07/03/2018 10:43

At least once it's announced as policy with all the associated fanfare it will start gaining publicity beyond internal party politics.

The MSM will be able to report on it as a factual Labour policy rather than something which is rumoured and made up of twitter posts.

We might also hear further backtracking from the Tories once Labour have enshrined it in their own policy. I would be very surprised if they don't see this as an opportunity to position themselves as the 'sensible' party.
