The latest addition to a Labour LGBT+ advisory board has been announced. I think we safely say the party has made its position clear on trans issues

My feminism will be wrong or be bullshit!

OrderOnline · 27/02/2018 12:13

Did they transfer the spare bone onto the hips?

GenderApostate · 27/02/2018 12:16

It’s finally broken Venice Allen’s support for Jeremy, we could all see it coming but I get no pleasure from being proved right.

The youth vote should have ended Brexit but they couldn’t be arsed, if Labour think they can rely on under 25s they have a big shock coming and they deserve to lose the next election.

OrderOnline · 27/02/2018 12:21

In 2017, the MPs decided to fight on their own record, they distanced themselves from the party. Labour leaked the manifesto and TM wanted to take homes. Labour backtracked on the Uni fee promise. All the MPs that sent out letters saying a man is a woman are going to have a hard time winning on their own record in a Brexit area.

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 27/02/2018 12:24

I saw that. Mimmymum and her pals on twitter are gleeful.

So am I.

Delighted to see another woman rejecting the falsehood that is the current state of the Labour Party.

I am now actively campaigning against them.

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 27/02/2018 12:27

This is the way they speak about transwomen who know they are male

mimivanne · 27/02/2018 12:33

Heather Peto is also on the advisory committee. No words.

LangCleg · 27/02/2018 12:36

If Bergdorf needed facial feminisation, how come female biology is so fucking irrelevant?

"Hello doctor, I want to look like one of those people I say don't exist. Could you sort that, please? I'm not sure what template you'll need to be going on, but carry on nonetheless."

JFC. More rage strokes.

KanyeWesticle · 27/02/2018 12:38

Why is Grazia giving Munroe a platform to spout that? The title's not just inflammatory, it's enough to "Peak Trans" a lot of Grazia readers in one glance. It's too strong to be genuine.

I understand Corbyn's "Liberal Youth" agenda. Unfortunately itb seems to be working. The LGB definitely need representation over and above the T.

LangCleg · 27/02/2018 12:38

I am now actively campaigning against them.

Still holding out for the official AWS announcement next month. Not sure why - a forlorn hope, we can all agree.

After that, DH and I will be out, I'm sure.

ijustwannadance · 27/02/2018 12:40

I feel sorry for the LGB community having people like this and LM supposedly representing them.

OrderOnline · 27/02/2018 12:43

I feel for the LGB community too. Their issues ignored, they will get the blame when it backfires. A gay man I know couldn't understand why the T was there. A bisexual young woman is avoiding TIMs and says so are the young lesbians she knows, they lost social support.

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 27/02/2018 12:44

I'm done Lang. I had hope, but now just fucking white hot fury.

The is no way that they are going to be pro women on the AWS after that meeting with Munroe and Peto. You'd be better off buying a bottle of wine with this month's subs Angry

And also Linda Riley who was the founder of the Ripper Museum and other delights. Have a look at this thread.

KatVonSweet · 27/02/2018 12:55

I'm literally so trolled. I remember when Munroe first made those racists comments, I looked on her page and loads of her acquaintances from university were saying about her history of unpleasant behaviour.

This is crap. For the few not the many.
I've been a member 25 years through thick and thin.

This is a horrible human being who will lose votes for labour by the bucketful.

OrderOnline · 27/02/2018 13:00

Those that Troll do so because they have little soul, they are empty shells, be they the physical or powerful Big man bullying those they perceive as weaker, or a mediocre bullied man that follows modelled behaviour to feel better about themselves, they are sad fuckers, they know it, victims and those standing by know it.

LangCleg · 27/02/2018 13:14

I'm done Lang. I had hope, but now just fucking white hot fury.

I'm doing my blood pressure no good at all. I've been peaktransed for about a year now and I'm still reaching rage levels on an almost daily basis. I have a friend who's not long come to it - about a month or so? I keep saying to her that she's so far off the peak she has no idea. And she keeps looking at me in horror.

JessicaEccles · 27/02/2018 13:33

Apart from being trans- a fucking MODEL being a Labour spokesperson? What about someone who, you know, actually has an interest in politics and has done something?

I mean, she's hardly Malala Yousafzai is she?

ijustwannadance · 27/02/2018 13:36

Yep. They are making decisions that will have massive effects on womens rights but only consulting with trans women. Because they are men so obviously know best.
They give no fucks at all about us.
They must really hate their mothers, wives, sisters and daughters so much to push this to into law.

RadicalFern · 27/02/2018 14:14

Good grief! If trans women are women how on earth can women's rights and trans rights be mutually exclusive??

RadicalFern · 27/02/2018 14:23

Also, I do love men telling me that I‘m womanising wrong... Hmm

RadicalFern · 27/02/2018 14:23

*womaning, not womanising! bloody hell autocorrect.

OlennasWimple · 27/02/2018 14:25

When are Labour going to realise just how much LM lies?

You know how he denied being part of Momentum a short while back? He must have forgotten how he was happy to trumpet that he was the Medway Momentum Youth Officer, whilst campaigning to be one of the UCA reps at the NUS conference

www.facebook.com/events/325855667820105/

"I became an activist after being illegally discriminated against for being transgender at school. I overcame this because of Labour’s Equality Act 2010. Since then I have tried to be involved in as many campaigns as I can, including locally organising protests of sure start centre closures and NHS restructuring, and at a national level appearing in new media (news stories, podcasts) and old (radio, newspapers) to raise awareness of inequality and debate in favour of LGBTQ+ inclusivity.

I am a Rochester and Strood Labour party member through which I have gained experience running groups (Chair of Medway Young Labour, Medway Momentum youth officer) and running socials (LGBTQ+ equali-tea, pints and policy), all of which have given me a greater idea of the issues fellow young people face. I am currently rallying for funding for a Medway pride event. Additionally, I am also UCA Rochester’s Women’s officer and Trans officer. This year I plan to run a variety of events through my Labour Students club.

As a member of the Labour party I recently attended Labour Youth Policy conference as delegate for Kent, Sussex, and Surrey at where we unanimously passed a motion against transphobia which will go into the next Labour Manifesto. I have lots of experience submitting and debating in favour of motions, such as speaking on a passed motion for Young Labour to officially recognise Donald Trump as a fascist and implore our next Labour government to leave NATO. I would love the opportunity to draw on this experience by attending NUS conference and submitting several motions."

MyOwnShed · 27/02/2018 14:25

Not my party anymore..

Mouthandtrousersall · 27/02/2018 14:30

@langcleg

My Labour MP Southampton Test has written to me confirming all women short lists are open to transwomen, and they do not need a GRC. This is Labour policy. I've had it in writing

Amortentia · 27/02/2018 14:30

I find it fascinating that the women Labour are pushing forward are males. Where are all the talented up and coming women? Are they being overshadowed by the transwomen? Does anyone know of a working class female being strongly supported by the Labour Party? I am genuinely interested to know the answer to this.
