The latest addition to a Labour LGBT+ advisory board has been announced. I think we safely say the party has made its position clear on trans issues

It's the Great Purge of the 21 Century.

Momentum ejecting all 'TERFs' and 'Centrists'

AngryAttackKittens · 27/02/2018 10:13

You'd think Lily would come up with a new excuse rather than using "someone edited that/made a fake account for me/dog ate my homework" every single time. Aren't people Lily's age supposed to be digital natives who understand how silly excuses like that look and how easy they are to disprove?

LangCleg · 27/02/2018 10:17

Wanderingwomb - the key thing about real intersectionality is that it's about power relations, institutions and inadequate legislation, and absolutely not about identity. Here's Crenshaw's original paper, Mapping the Margins. Well worth reading:

It's not simply a matter of taking out the "not". Lm also responded to the incredulous post afterwards asking him to reiterate his position. Wouldn't make sense if hadn't got it wrong in the first place.

RealityHasALiberalBias · 27/02/2018 10:31

Well, there’s no way they’ll win the next election with this malarkey, even if they did have coherent policies on anything at all.

The youth vote is fickle, and even when motivated can’t be relied upon to actually show up at the ballot box on Election Day. Labour is putting all its eggs in a very flimsy basket.

RedToothBrush · 27/02/2018 10:47

They'll get a landslide in London for the Locals.

OrderOnline · 27/02/2018 10:51

Why do you believe that Red ?

Waddlelikeapenguin · 27/02/2018 10:51

I wonder if there is a "once a labour voter always a labour voter" delusion at the heart of it. Tie the students in now & they will keep voting for us & all those women we dont give fuck about will keep voting for us anyway. I also think they have burnt the bridges & cant find a way back - maybe hoping the tories will do the dirty work for them then quietly drop it?

Arrrggghhh trying to make it make sense is making my head hurt.

OrderOnline · 27/02/2018 10:56

I will remember for the rest of my life, AR, her purge of those highlighting a genuine concern and failing to hold the Tories to account whilst they undertook a modern day T4 against Autistic and gay kids.

DaisyDrip · 27/02/2018 10:59

They'll get a landslide in London for the Locals. Not a Labour voter but I think this will happen.Londoners tend to live in their own bubble and it seems to me the rest of the country doesn't exist. After all that's gone on in the last few months with all political parties, locals are going to be very interesting.

I'm oop north in a safe Labour seat and council, not expecting that to change.

cista · 27/02/2018 11:09

That's the thing, I like Monroe as a commentator on racial issues. She has raised some interesting points, albeit clumsily.

But then she goes and makes herself a laughing stock with her views on women.

Point is, she could have been credible if she stuck to racial issues.

EmpressOfJurisfiction · 27/02/2018 11:16

Londoners tend to live in their own bubble and it seems to me the rest of the country doesn't exist.

Yes, well.

I'm a Londoner and I'm pissed as hell at Labour right now.

SillySallySingsSongs · 27/02/2018 11:20

In some areas yes. In others not so sure at all.

CAAKE · 27/02/2018 11:44

Anyone caught Munroe's article in Grazia? I haven't, but they have tweeted these images of it. The title is "Women are Getting Feminism Wrong" 🤨

sexnotgender · 27/02/2018 11:47

Has someone poisoned JCs water?

Ah well, in for a penny in for a pound Jezza!

sexnotgender · 27/02/2018 11:48

Wow, someone has been at the photoshop on that grazia pic!!

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 27/02/2018 11:52

"Women are getting feminism wrong"?

Fuck off

That's all

OrderOnline · 27/02/2018 11:57

They are Grin at their readers and the TIM. I feel bad for the TIM, it will all come crashing down when the capitalists and virtue signalling types move on to the next big thing. What will they be left with? Feminist will carry on, as will women doing what they always have.

Porn will probably backlash against slug eyebrows.

Riverside2 · 27/02/2018 12:00

Sorry, what do pp think is being covered up? Or, what are we looking away from?

OrderOnline · 27/02/2018 12:01

I see DoC is a TERF, showing off her biology in a gynaecology unit.

cista · 27/02/2018 12:11

Monroe recently had"feminization" facial shaping which is why she's looking a bit different

zonedouttortoise · 27/02/2018 12:12

Boys corrupted by porn and power, enabled by Stockholm girls They won't win a GE. The woman and men will become brave at some point

First comment so don't know if tagged correctly - anyway this comment is spot on. New Labour used all the covert Thought Control methods to get Blair elected - and that's why they ended up in such a mess- no values no leadership of the country. So they are a cult and seems like they have a lot of hostages - particularly women. We need a new political party that's for women and children - not MRAs, middle class double speak men and the women they have duped.
