If Labour go after Nicholas Davies, things might get interesting.

Transgender affirmation is designed to target non conforming children who may be Gays or Lesbians for conversion to transgender. That is pretty obvious by now, I think.

This particular young person being a woman's officer will be a woman for the rest of her life, and she deserves to participate and be represented.

Lily has not undergone surgery, has not taken hormones, has not got a GRC. Has basically done nothing to prove any sort of long-term irreversible commitment to living as a woman. Lily is a teenage boy who has said one day that he is a woman and the whole world has accepted it and elected him women's officer. He has a girlfriend as well, which apparently makes him a 'lesbian'. He is basically a heterosexual male.

Yes. A teenager. It is dumbfounding that 1. the level of maturity to recognize that this IS a teenager and to bear that in mind when contextualizing the content she puts on social media. God help us all if social media was around when I was that age, and 2. The lack of understanding that YOU don't get to tell someone what THEIR experience is. YOU havent walked around in her shoes, you can only judge the outer package.

Beyond this, I'm not really interested in participating in this thread anymore. I think its sad. My 15 year old has a better understanding of LGBTQ rights than anyone has shown in this thread.

Of course, silly me popped on to a thread that was only ever meant to heckle a TEENAGER, so I shouldn't have expected much. :-)

Right look, is Lily a fragile TEENAGER or is they up to the job of representing women in their constituency? One or the other. Lily is 20 now BTW. Women in Lily's constituency deserve decent representation. If Liliy is a fragile teenager who can't be held responsible for anything then who's pulling the strings?
