And the commenters in this mag not too pleased about it

Yep! I'm the B and don't much appreciate the acronym turning into "assorted perverts grouped here".

They'll eventually try to add another P for pedophile, just wait.

Myunicornfliessideways · 30/01/2018 22:18

Well that alphabet soup means that the only remaining people it doesn't include are an endangered species, consisting of a small group of totally heterosexual, exclusively vanilla, committed couples with no friends or family. We probably ought to set up an enclosure for them quick at Whipsnade Zoo.

Basically - like feminism - what started out as a movement focused on a specific small group supporting each other and seeking equal rights and did so successfully for decades, has been recently and rapidly made so inclusive and so focused on ostentatious virtue signalling that it no longer achieves or stands for anything comprehensible at all.

Wtaf have we done to this up and coming generation that made them this blindly and self righteously destructive?

OvaHere · 30/01/2018 22:18

I think it's more likely to an M for minor attracted people. I've seen that phrase used frequently on sites like reddit. It smacks of more Newspeak designed to obscure reality.

We gave them the internet.

thebewilderness · 30/01/2018 22:22

Since the trans identified males too over leadership of all LGB organizations it has been all abusers all the time.

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 30/01/2018 22:25

And this is Kink.

www.glamour.com/story/a-to-z-kinks-and-fetishes

How did I get to middle age without knowing this crap. Admittedly I stopped reading when I reached 'arousal by enemas'.

aggghhhhdddddddidnyseeit

Will there be Kinkphobia, do you think?

This is the title of an actual study:

Comparison of Self-Identified Minor-Attracted Persons Who Have and Have Not Successfully Refrained From Sexual Activity With Children

OvaHere · 30/01/2018 22:33

I've not seen kinkphobia used yet (I'd bet quite a lot of money I will soon) but kink shaming is definitely a phrase chucked around a lot. Usually against women who want to point out abuse tactics.

BossyBitch · 30/01/2018 22:36

I'm definitely an F, S and C in the LGBTQABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ+, as in Female, Straight and most definitely massively Confused at this point, despite multiple degrees and a successful professional career. Confused

I genuinely do try and keep up and make and effort not to be a bigot, but I'm quite frankly not willing to invest 8+ hours a week. It's a work-life-balance thing.

Also, can I be a K on the grounds of being an OTEV as in 'open to experimenting vanilla' type then?

Pretty sure you can. Heterosexual? Self obsessed? Have blue hair or a pair of pink fluffy handcuffs? You too can be part of the queer movement!

doctorcuntybollocks · 30/01/2018 22:44

Having sex with the light on probably counts as Queer.

womanhuman · 31/01/2018 01:13

bossy, confused could probably be Questioning so you’re covered.

Does this K cover K between two committed het partners? Do fluffy pink handcuffs or reading 50 Shades qualify for joining the LGBT+ soc now?

AngryAttackKittens · 31/01/2018 01:17

Allow me to introduce you to the living encapsulation of "queer kinky sex positive feminism". Also known as, a married woman who thinks her relationship with her husband is queer because, um, short dyed hair?

www.ohjoysextoy.com/bdsm/

Not safe for work, obviously. Or for impressionable young people who might try to use it as a life guide.

MrsTerryPratchett · 31/01/2018 02:19

We have 2S in ours. Two-spirited for First Nations.

Adarajames · 31/01/2018 03:19

I'm sticking with LGB, they are the only ones related to sexuality and so to have the others lumped in with it really pisses me off, and I won't be adding in all sorts of other ridiculous initials just to keep some tiny group of non sexuality related options happy! And as for using cis at all alongside the word woman, well you can just fuck right off!!

Thehairthebod · 31/01/2018 07:30

What the fuck does 'friends and family' mean? Confused

Also the appropriation of 'intersex' as a way of propping up the trans argument is just awful.

If 'minor attracted people' ever EVER makes it anywhere near the mainstream then I'm getting off this planet for sure.

Mrsmiguelcervantes · 31/01/2018 07:49

What’s the C and the H for? Celibate?

Also, I honestly do think there’ll be a P for paedophile in there one day. Once we’ve all been forced to pretend that men are women, that’ll be next. The trans movement is laying the groundwork already with the transing of kids and the sexualisation of them.

Cistersaredoingitforthemselves · 31/01/2018 07:50

What the hell is 2spirit???

I'm sure more will follow. Result of a godless, hyper sexualised society where all things are to be "tolerated"

MorrisZapp · 31/01/2018 07:59

Never mind kink, it's the asexuals who confuse me. Why would people who don't want to have sex need to organise in any way? It's like me starting a political movement for people who don't like mashed potato.

OvaHere · 31/01/2018 08:08

Given the state of the other current political parties I'd vote for you Grin

🙄

There is nothing inherently wrong with 'kink' or fetishes or things of that nature, as long as everyone involved is a fully consenting adult of course.

Sex doesn't have to be about a god fearing man pumping away into a god fearing woman until he comes and they male a baby. It can and should be enjoyable for everyone, every time and due to some people's preferences sometimes that involves things that not everyone is all about.

The objection here is the piggybacking of every fetish and sexual preference onto the LGB movement - a movement that came about in the first place because up until very recently in the UK, gay people did not have the same rights as straight people. Transgender people, pansexual people, 'kinky' people have the same human rights as everyone else in this country.
