Oh, I know! I'm just pointing out that if these people are "kinky" they're breaking the rules of their own community, which likes to pretend that it cares deeply about consent.

womanhuman · 01/02/2018 09:46

Oh, phew. Yes. Quite.

AngryAttackKittens · 01/02/2018 09:50

Next up, poly oversharing!

I really don't care what people do in the privacy of their own home/sex club/etc but it would be great if they didn't drone on endlessly about it to people who aren't interested. Read the room, kinksters!

Scorbus · 01/02/2018 10:19

Right... that got weird quickly

AngryAttackKittens · 01/02/2018 10:27

Not sure what I missed there...

He was told he was a bigot for asking questions, but also told he was a bigot because he didn’t know the answers to the questions he wasn’t allowed to ask!

I feel this has a huge part in how many people are reaching peaktrans these days. Any question they ask has them shouted down as a bigot. The 'educate yourself' mantra is a bit..stupid. As once people do go research for themselves they tend to turn gender critical!

ArcheryAnnie · 01/02/2018 15:36

Isn't that "aromantic"? Oh who the fuck knows or cares!

That's the bunny, Ereshkigal! Or as it used to be known in the olden days, "up for a casual shag".

Ereshkigal · 01/02/2018 16:05

Yes Grin

I saw a tweet the other day that said queer was a label worn by otherwise normal, middle class / rich kids with relatively easy and boring lives to make them feel like they could get a share of oppression. It's this generation's Common People.

This is why there needs to be a fine line between encouraging people to recognise when they have a degree of privilege over others in life and demonising them for the system they were born into.

As a gay female this absolutely infuriates me! The message is being diluted and all the supposedly gay campaigning charities are exclusively focussing on trans issues, the majority of which happen to be men, women are just not important anymore, not even in the groups and societies designed to give lesbians a safe space because now any man can call himself a woman and declare that he and his wife are now lesbians as well. They may as well just add an s for straight on the end as well.
