There was another similar case today involving 2 children. Its heartbreaking.

NoLoveofMine · 26/08/2017 00:54

Utterly sickening.

Says it all. He was laughing at the women who were begging him to take their possessions.

Why are men.
Sad
Reading these sorts of things just makes me question their existence altogether. It's so depressing.

NoLoveofMine · 26/08/2017 09:40

It's abhorrent. His expressions and tones when caught as well are sickening - almost proud of his crimes. He boasted about how one of the women/girls he attacked thought it was a robbery but "I wasn't after that" as well. Violent misogyny harboured by so many (yet little coverage of this, yet another horrendous misogynist).

I think since it's not just men who watch and enjoy rape porn maybe we should be questioning why so many people like it full stop. They are whole sites dedicated to such things, and not just on the dark web either. Women get paid far more for scenes involving extreme act of degradation and humiliation/rape play than they do for normal scenes, so there's obviously a market for it.

WomanWithAltitude · 26/08/2017 09:51

The majority of the market for porn is still male though. And I think a lot of some are extremely conditioned by society to the extent that it shapes their approach to sex (eg seeing it as performative rather than participative, with part of their brain always focused on the male gaze rather than directing their own gaze.... internalising the constant messages from society and porn that women should and do enjoy submission, being choked etc. and that they also need to enjoy those things to be normal).

If a teenager repeatedly sees violence and is told 'this is normal sex and women enjoy it', that's going to have a huge impact on their sexuality.

WomanWithAltitude · 26/08/2017 09:51

^ a lot of women are extremely conditioned

NoLoveofMine · 26/08/2017 09:55

Definitely WWA. I think female sexuality is only encouraged if it's a desire to be submissive. It's assumed by many, I think, that women and girls want to be or should want to be as such sexually, any other desires not considered acceptable.

I think for a woman to say she enjoys rape porn is still extremely taboo. But it is quite common and I don't think it's down to society.

Missymoo100 · 26/08/2017 10:03

"Reading these sorts of things just makes me question their existence altogether. It's so depressing"

"Fucking men"

Wow, just wow- this sweeping generalistation about men is awful.
Yes the man here is an evil person- but ffs comments like this are not helpful and I find quite hateful

NoLoveofMine · 26/08/2017 10:04

Quite something that this is your primary concern from yet another case of a man subjecting women and girls to such horrific, violent misogynist attacks.

OP posts:
CoinOperatedGurl · 26/08/2017 10:09

Labelling "all men" as evil is what puts a lot of women off feminism.

NoLoveofMine · 26/08/2017 10:14

Firstly no-one has done that, secondly men raping and murdering women and girls is what makes some women ]slightly angry and make statements such as I did in this thread.

OP posts:
Missymoo100 · 26/08/2017 10:20

It's not my primary concern.
However to group all men together because of the actions of a few is a terrible attitude.
There are evil people in this world both men and women- don't use an example of one person and use it as a standard to define men.

CoinOperatedGurl · 26/08/2017 10:21

I agree MissyMoo.

Missymoo100 · 26/08/2017 10:21

I disagree with no one has done that- the statements were blanket statements- "fucking men" "question their existence"

NoLoveofMine · 26/08/2017 10:22

It's not one man. It's constant. This is hardly an isolated case. I started a thread with just the examples which I could remember off the top of my head which had made any news of men and boys attacking girls and women for no other reason than them being female this year alone and there were countless cases.

OP posts:
NoLoveofMine · 26/08/2017 10:23

Anyway this thread is about yet another violent, misogynist man and you've made it about "not all men" - excellent derailing.

OP posts:
Missymoo100 · 26/08/2017 10:26

It's not all men either- it's a minority, it doesn't justify statements like these. pushing all men into the same box is harmful and untrue

Missymoo100 · 26/08/2017 10:28

No, you made it that way by saying such things.

Missymoo100 · 26/08/2017 10:28

It's completely uneccesary

Women should be blamed and we should emphasise it's a "minority" of men (even though there have been cases recently of girls attacked on the same evening by two separate men suggesting otherwise)? What a reaction to an abhorrent rapist.
