It is right and proper that transgender women are treated as equal human beings with equal rights. But as they remain biologically male that does not include access to women's only spaces such as refuges, changing rooms, prisons or women's sports.

Indeed. The only people who would present at a clinic would be those who actually have sexy dysphoria and want to have the op. Hence the seemingly very large percentages in the clinics statistics for those who undergo full SRS.

I think it's even more blurred than that. I'm sure I've seen examples on here of people claiming crippling dysphoria and going the whole hog with transitioning who have fathered children. It doesn't seem to be the case that the 'genuine' cases hate their penises and don't want to/can't use them.

Genuine question (trying to follow the TRA logic): does the transwoman who was in the news last year get stripped of her "first woman on the front line" accolade now that a 90 year old WW2 veteran has transitioned? Because he was a woman all along, right?

Good question OlennasWimple. I would say that trans logic dictates that the award should be taken away and given to the 90 yr old, unless and until any evidence of an earlier candidate is found.

He seems pretty harmless because he looks exactly what he is - an old man in womens clothes. And if that's all it was, that would be fine, I doubt many people would even notice. Like every other old person he's seen as sexless, frail and irrelevant. I wouldn't want to be a 90 year old women next to him in a hospital bed, though.

How did this even make the news, though? I thought the general rule was that transgender is only to be mentioned if it is relevant. Surely the story should be ' old women wears old women's clothes' . Or is it that transgender shouldn't be mentioned when the person commits a crime?

It seems to me that there is a determined effort to keep the 'oh, bless them stories' very high profile, while suppressing the bad stories.

Labelling him a woman on his records is completely fucking ridiculous and useless. Does this mean HCPs are to treat him like a woman? What would that look lie? Using pink stethoscopes? Fairy medicine? Sexy compression stockings ? Treating him as anything other than male will actually put his health in jeopardy and all sorts of benchmarks will be meaningless. How ridiculous.
