I must admit, I've had a good chuckle at some of these!

Says one trans on the women's march on London FB page. Sounds pretty juvenile to me. Have these people no sense of the wider world? Of sarcasm and humour? Writing messages on Pads isn't exactly my cup of tea especially as it will be left up to a street cleaner to tidy that all up but 'transactivism' seems utterly narcissistic to me. Sorry I have no time for such self-centred and narrow minded me me me nonsense.

This march was important and real and it was about women's bodies and women's power. It was empowering and screw anyone who tries to steal this away and undermine us.

I donate tampons and pads to my local food bank at the SAME TIME as standing up for women's rights. Now that's multitasking

For those of us who don't know any transwomen (I know a couple of transmen only, one vv well), the twitter squealing is really all we hear. I know the more reasonable ones exist, but (probably because they've been bullied by the loudmouths) their voices are effectively silent.

Can anyone link me to a blog or an article by a transwoman who a) isn't obsessed by makeup and b) isn't a twerp?

Sanpro envy! Just makes me think they should have used a used pad as well (or at least some strategically-placed red marker), and really gone for it.

And was it the transmen (who might be using pads as well) complaining that the pads made them feel they should be included in the March when they didn't want to be?

Trump, let's face it, claims to be best-buds with former rich white former male Caitlyn and doesn't care what loo she uses, whilst disagreeing with abortion rights for women. Transactivism can't even maintain its own internal logic. On the one hand we are told that 'girl dicks' are exactly the same as vaginas. On the other, we are forbidden from mentioning vaginas because 'not all women have them'.

Probably not, but the point is the average man in the street is opposed to trans activism. Maybe not because of women's rights, but they are opposed to it. Meaning they aren't supportive of it.

Much as I wish this were true, I don't think it is. The average man may not be an active supporter of TAs but they support women's rights even less, so are prepared to give them away to TAs. Already in Canada, Australia, many US states (and - in the near future - the UK) all the protections that women have as a biological sex have been lost. That could not have happened without the collusion and, in many cases, active support of many men in the establishment of all of those countries.

My dad and husband are very average

Both initially said that if a trans woman said they were a woman then they were, both thought you could change sex

When i started on my little rants and told dh some of the things that are happening he said stuff like 'i cant believe they would do that' or ' i dont think that would happen'

They wouldnt throw me under the bus, but they have no clue about any of this stuff...they have been taking it at face value

I agree that it doesn't affect the vast majority of men so they don't concern themselves about it. There are no TAs telling them to die in a fire if they talk about their manly penises on twitter.

#transtantrum it is so ridiculous. How can we use the momentum of the women's march to challenge this type of new/old sexism? What approach would work best? Can it be achieved through debate? Do we need a 'bio'-feminist interest lobby pushing for women-with-vaginas-friendly policies?
