Homity, as Germaine was your first selection I am going to assume that she is your favorite and look her up, I need to educate myself on the subject.

icarus7 · 21/04/2017 19:10

Dodger, honestly. Both.
He is an alcoholic, he was there, but not there and when drunk extremly dominant. That is the truth.

Sober, a very nice man.

icarus7 · 21/04/2017 19:13

Smeaton, I don`t think that I have been abusive.
If I a missinformed correct me, I will listen.

ShamefulDodger · 21/04/2017 19:14

They always are when they are sober Icarus, sadly not enough to negate the damage in between.

Did he share similar views? That there should be a dominant male head of house?

icarus7 · 21/04/2017 19:19

I am not an expert at all nor do I claim to be. Men are under informed on the subject, most are very uninterested, I am trying to understand.

icarus7 · 21/04/2017 19:20

Dodger, yes he did.
I think that most men do.

icarus7 · 21/04/2017 19:23

Drinking was a part of life in his era, it was not at all unusual. He did probably take it to an extreme.
I don`t think that it was positive in any way.

icarus7 · 21/04/2017 19:26

I personally think that when humans congregate in groups a dominant person will always become apparent. It is in our nature.

icarus7 · 21/04/2017 19:27

I like to think that humans may one day overcome this instinct but I am not at all sure of it.

In most animals it causes friction as members vie for dominance.

icarus7 · 21/04/2017 19:30

Our closes animal relatives are chimps, in their groups the dominant animal will be a male..

icarus7 · 21/04/2017 19:31

In elephants it would be a female

icarus7 · 21/04/2017 19:32

In ants, bees and wasps the whole colony is female and males only exist to reproduce, after which they die or are eaten.

icarus7 · 21/04/2017 19:32

But we are closer related to chimps

HomityBabbityPie · 21/04/2017 19:33

Obvious troll is obvious Hmm

icarus7 · 21/04/2017 19:34

What do you think about family dominance?

icarus7 · 21/04/2017 19:35

and what are your reasons for thinking it?

icarus7 · 21/04/2017 19:36

I am not a troll, I am here to understand your viewpoint.

icarus7 · 21/04/2017 19:43

Maybe within humans the dominant member of a group should change according to the activity or function of the group?

HoneyDragon · 21/04/2017 20:21

Behold, natures finest male dominant pack leader and role model displaying common sense.
