There exists is a pub with no name. There are several, if you Google.

It is a joke, in reference to my need for the pub to exist, and the lack of time that there was to search back through the archives at the time that the thread was started. Elsewhere, I refer to it as "the pub in Feminism Chat", or "in FWR" if I feel the need to prove some kind of point, not entirely sure what point that is, the one about how long I lurked around here I suppose.

Did I get the Roman numerals right? That was one of my primary concerns, at the time of the creation of the thread.

We keep the goat to butt MRAs. And to make goat's cheese for our fancy sandwiches.

Oh crap, did I make myself the landlady? Is there a buck I can pass? I lack a visual eye. Maybe we should start a Bluestocking Pinterest.

In the pub that I used to imagine when I was a teenager, the defining features were comfy sofas and Gin and Tonics for ninety-nine p. So we could start there, I suppose.

Am about to go into a gig. You guys carry on with the decorating. And don't forget to feed the goat.

Yes. I like dark wood paneling. 10p a pint puts you about a decade older than I am. The question is, do we consider stocking WKD?

I'm in the horrors tonight and feeling anxious that I've annoyed everyone on the board by being either argumentative, stating the obvious or just being a dick. Its harsh because i love the posters on here but the lack of real life element makes me paranoid :(

I vote no to WKD, no Smirnoff Ice or Bacardi Breezers either, yes to the 21st century overpriced equivalent of J2O, those fancy crisps that come in pseudo-Kettle Chips packaging, lime and soda and shandy.

Snakebite, though? I secretly find it quite drinkable but feel as if that is something I am probably not supposed to admit.

If you are going 90s with your vibe I'm not sure about posh crisps though.

Smirnoff Ice and Barcardi Breezers are not part of the picture. Jack Daniels and coke is permitted. What do you remember a bottle of wine costing? In this pub, we permit the drinking of cheap wine out of mugs, only for the sake of nostalgia and not because we believe ourselves to be sophisticated. Or, do as you will, just do not forget to do the washing up.

What snacks are more nineties? You are right. Maybe this is before the era of posh crisps. I do not remember eating anything at all, except for fish and chips at a friend's house before we went out on the town.

When I was a teenager I remember a bottle of wine in france costing 45p. Rough but less likely to give you the trots than the water. Much more back in the UK.

That wasn't the 90s though ... My era, nice girls drank cinzano and lemonade. 70s alcopops really.

Are we allowed to bring our dogs in? Mine would give the goat a wide berth.

I like dogs, an I appear to be the landlady. So yes, this is a dog-friendly pub. It has a garden with a bouncy castle in it. (True story, I used to go to one of those, before I was a teenager, a pub with its own bouncy castle in the back garden. Super cook.)

Please discourage the dog from going on the bouncy castle. The goat is not allowed, on it and it might get jealous. Then it's milk might turn bitter and the sandwiches would be ruined.

What is the dog like? Aside from goat-avoidant.

I cannot remember having snacks back then and posh crisps are good.

How was the gig?

Thanks for asking. Gig was emotional. It reminded me of people and places. I cried a bit. Also, awesome. I love live concerts, and live sport as well.

A bit over a year ago, I decided I was just going to go gigs on my own, instead of always looking to find someone to come with me. Sometimes I get last-minute single tickets cheaply on SeatWave or ViaGoGo. I recommend this approach, if it appeals to you at all.

I am one of those people who goes to the cinema or out for a meal on my own and does not think anything of it, though. I remember being surprised when I learned that there are people who consider it unusual to do that.

Morning coffee is exactly what I've popped in for.

The landlady has asked what my dog is like - buzzsharer.com/2016/01/12-realities-that-new-dachshund-owners-must-accept/ gives an idea especially number 8. He doesn't beg from tables (much) and crucially doesn't like crisps. He'd love a cup of tea and packet of pork scratchings though.
