The "daughter" who murdered her father who had MS

Is actually his son.

fancy sharing a cell with this bloke?

This is really serious, violent crime figures are going to be totally distorted as more and more men claim they are women and statisticians meekly record them as such.

ohshutup Google Davina Ayrton - masculine looking MTT convicted of raping a 15 year old girl. Much less call from TAs to send him to a women's prison - they're not attracting attention to the cases which so obviously undermine their argument that feelings are everything. Much better to have poster "girls" like (violent) Tara Hudson.

BeyondBootcampsAgain · 28/02/2016 16:54

Hmm, the problem is whoever is the person "too far" for the TA support will be "not really trans". When its an intangible thing, its easy for them to claim.

They either quietly ignore the unappealing cases or they claim they're not trans like Paris Lees did with Christopher/Jessica Hambrook.

OhShutUp I started a thread some time back about Davina Ayrton.
I did it because I wanted the people who had supported Tara 7inch Hudson to either tie themselves in knots supporting this M2T rapist, or realise the logical conclusion of M2T in women's prisons and withdraw support for all M2T in women's prisons. Because the rule has to apply to all or none. It can't be "I support the pretty M2T that my facebook mates tell me is going viral but lalala to the rapist never heard of such a thing".

It was deliberately provocative of me. But it needs doing because people are willfully denying the obvious harm that will come of accepting all M2T in women's spaces. And each time someone accepts that supporting a Tara means supporting a Davina there's another case of someone reaching Peak Trans.

Every case of a dangerous M2T needs to be publicised as widely as we can. And there are a lot. The trans lobby are denying these cases or disowning those transwomen as notreallytrans. Whilst applauding legislation which make it an offence to question anyone's self declared gender.

If I hear one more time "there has never been a documented case of harm from a M2T yadayada" I'll combust.

Well, if someone wants to talk about Claire in 'in the news' or aibu, i have plenty of anger in me about the "compassionate" disabled person murderer, without even starting on what is in Claire's knickers

On lots of trans threads there seem to be a fair few posters berating people for their concerns about some trans activists

Not on this thread

Why is that? Is claire just too hard to defend? Would most people have a double take if claire appeared in the changing room? Are claires feelings not as vaid

Serious question

I am staggered about how many of the cases under consideration, or in the news, are of people who committed violent (and sometimes really, really violent) crimes, often while presenting as male, and who then later claim a trans identity. (And cases like this one and Tara Hudson's, where the transition - for various values of transition - has predated the violent crime.)

This is in such contrast to the general population of women's prisons, where the prisoners are overwhelmingly (not all, but overwhelmingly) convicted of nonviolent crimes.

Is anyone planning to go to the LSE public event on trans prisoners this Saturday? I am tempted, but not sure if I can stomach an hour of people crying for one of the most vulnerable groups in society - women in prison - to be made more vulnerable in the cause of Great Justice.

Does anyone know stats as to whether there is a significant correlation between sex offenders and suffocation/choking as a murder method?

They've just had this again on the Radio Two news. She has just been sentenced. Not a single mention that Claire is a man.

This is SOOO bizarre.

When the news broke first thing on bbc news they made it clear Claire had changed identity.

I haven't seen any petitions about her being detained in a men's prison yet, or any posts about it actually anywhere.

Just been re-reading the latest BBC story and getting all annoyed again at their bloody daft wording.

Now Claire has supposedly been 'living as a female'. What does that mean? Because as the mug-shots make clear, no one is going to be confused for a second that this is anything other than a male. True, a male who is called Clare, and who probably wants to be treated as if they were female. But this isn't going to happen, they will be treated as a transwoman, if anything.

So in no way can Claire 'live as a female' -- they don't have female biology, they won't be mistaken for someone with female biology, so the only place they are possibly living as a female is inside their own head.

If the BBC had said 'living as a transwoman' (but pre-op), that would at least be accurate. Living as a female is a totally incorrect way of describing what is going on here, however PC it may be to describe it that way.

I saw a 6ft middle aged bloke in Asda yesterday with long hair, knee high boots and a denim knee length skirt on. I wonder if he was 'living as a female'.

Perhaps we should write to the BBC and ask?

Helmetbymidnight · 10/03/2016 17:15

I think asking is good:

How do you define 'living as a woman'?

You're limited on word count so I sent this:Hello

In your reports about Claire Derbyshire, the murderer, you have repeatedly referred to them 'living as a woman'. Please could you clarify what that means? I know this individual has previously been convicted of entering their friend's house and masturbating into her underwear which is not something I think a woman has ever done.

Thank you

Now Claire has supposedly been 'living as a female'. What does that mean?

The BbC certainly shouldn't be reporting that Claire had 'socially transitioned' (which is what I understand the term 'living as a woman' to mean) because she was a reclusive agraphobic (sp?) who never left the house. Totally impossible to 'socially transition' if you don't engage with society.

Report
SomeDyke · 10/03/2016 19:02

The BBC used 'living as a female', and other people are using the phrase 'living as a woman'. Frankly, I would have slightly fewer problems with using the latter -- you can after all be male, and attempt living as a woman (i.e. if you pass well enough then you might in some social situations get treated as if you were female). But then this murderer would fail at that as well, since no one is going to think for an instant that they are female, hence although someone might recognise that because of their clothing, name etc they are attempting to 'live as a woman', they'll get treated as a transwoman, rather than as a woman.

Frankly, 'living as a transwoman' would be a more accurate description, since that would correctly mean being male, but 'presenting' as something else, whether or not you think that is valid or possible or desirable.

So why is that so unacceptable a phrase? It's true, accurate, and doesn't step on anyone elses toes, and transwomen can argue amongst themselves what it should or does mean, and leave the rest of us the hell alone...............

Report
PrettyBrightFireflies · 10/03/2016 19:31

I do get the impression that the term 'trans woman' is viewed by the trans-activists in the same way as i view being called a'fat' or 'grey haired'.
Both a factually accurate Blush, but I don't feel good about myself when they are used to describe me.

Trans-women want to be women - just as I want to be thin and auburn haired.

It's really not acceptable to be calling Claire a woman. Transwoman at most. To call Claire a woman is an insult to women.

As far as I am aware, Claire Darbyshire doesn't have a GRC so there is no requirement to refer to him as a woman. I really want to know why the media are being so coy about his previous sex related crime. Why 'soiled'? Why not just say he ejaculated. What's going on here?

Report
MrsJamin · 11/03/2016 07:21

What's going on here is an acceptance of self-identified gender. It's utter bullshit, and the government, the BBC, the guardian and buzzfeed are all trying to entice the British population into sleep walking into believing it too. Well I've had enough. Claire isn't a woman, he's a man.
