Is actually his son.

fancy sharing a cell with this bloke?

This is really serious, violent crime figures are going to be totally distorted as more and more men claim they are women and statisticians meekly record them as such.

I am speechless

I've heard this reported on the radio (bbc) several times today and no mention of the fact that the daughter is in fact a man

It certainly appears that transwomen are far more likely to commit violent crime than other women but the media only seems interested in remaining PC and the issue of the poor 'women' who end up in male jails

WandaFuca · 26/02/2016 20:17

There's more detail on the Daily Mail website, but to save anyone else from adding to their click revenue, I'll paste what I think is pertinent information:

It can now be reported Darbyshire was previously slapped with a five-year restraining order after breaking into the home of Lisa Forde, a jewellery shop owner for whom she worked for as a volunteer.

While inside, she 'soiled' a pair of Ms Forde's knickers as well as trying on other items of clothing.

Speaking after the sentence for that offence, the victim said she felt 'totally betrayed' by her former friend and felt 'unsafe' because she didn't know 'how much further she could go'.

Presumably, that will now be included in the data of offences committed by women.

BombadierFritz · 26/02/2016 20:18

Nice
Another harmless womanly activity

HermioneWeasley · 26/02/2016 20:21

What woman hasn't broken into another woman's house and wanked into her underwear? Those without sin should cast the first stone IMO.

Snowshimmer · 26/02/2016 20:23

How polite of media to use the preferred pronouns for this autogynephile murderer and sex offender.

snow it's bizarre isn't it? Why the massive effort to be so very considerate of th feelings of a murderous sex offender?

Anyone notice thr Guardian didn't use a photo?

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 26/02/2016 20:35

God, I thought that picture looked a bit odd. I couldn't have read to the end of the articleBlush

Odd term of phrase 'living as a woman'. Can't help but wonder what that entails.....

TheOptimisticPessimist · 26/02/2016 20:36

"This is FUCKING BULLSHIT"

^^This with knobs on.

Snowshimmer · 26/02/2016 20:38

Yes it is really bizarre, Hermione. Why would they care about a male murderers feelings. The Daily Mail isn't famous for being polite to women is it?

HeyNonnyMaybe · 26/02/2016 20:40

The father had two children, how awful for the other sibling.

According to R4, time on remand was spent in a male prison. Is that customary until conviction and then it's dependent on a judge's decision?

HermioneWeasley · 26/02/2016 20:47

snow everyone seems to have drunk the kool-aid on this, and nobody is saying "that is a bloke"

Akire · 26/02/2016 20:55

Think there are no strict rules often sent to biological jail though often moved later after appeals are made.

The judge in this case has asked for review of prisoner presume to try work out where best to send them.

Difficulties are trans women don't want go to men's prison. But women don't want share women only spaces with them either. So who's rights win out?

etinocadoego · 26/02/2016 20:57

It's a total headfuck for the criminal justice system. As a murdering sex offender they can't send him to a women's prison but if they send Claire to a men's prison suicide is very likely.
They have to open a trans prison.

The "daughter" who murdered her father who had MS
HermioneWeasley · 26/02/2016 21:03

No headfuck, open a trans wing. Since TW commit crime at the same rates as men, it will soon be full

VestalVirgin · 26/02/2016 21:10

Now now, lots of women have five o clock shadows that could rival that...

Nah, not even I, and I suffer from too much testosterone. My beard stubbornly refuses to grow anywhere but on my upper lip and chin.

Trans prison is a good idea. Or just reserve a wing of the men's prison for transwomen and one of the women's prison for transmen. (Transmen seem to be better at achieving the crime rate of their chosen gender than transwomen, but it'd be unfair to imprison them with much larger, stronger males.)

msrisotto · 26/02/2016 21:11

That is a fucking bloke. With a perversion for womens underwear. WTF has happened to common sense?

CrayonShavings · 26/02/2016 21:20

This has rattled me. This is, indeed, fucking BULLSHIT.

HarimadSol · 26/02/2016 21:26

I am a daughter. That adult male has never been, nor ever will be, anyone's daughter.

Helmetbymidnight · 26/02/2016 21:34

Astounding.

I heard this on the radio and had no idea the 'daughter' was a man.

BeyondBootcampsAgain · 26/02/2016 21:55

"that is a fucking bloke"

Now dont go sugar-coating the news! Grin

BombadierFritz · 26/02/2016 22:42

You know though, there are women murderers and women sex offenders in womens prisons. His crimes alone dont make him unable to serve his time in a womens prison. If he had a grc i dont see how he could be sent to a male prison? What a farce

etinocadoego · 26/02/2016 22:47

I think that a wanky burglar with a penis shouldn't be in a women's prison. Do you Bombadier?

BombadierFritz · 26/02/2016 22:53

Nope i dont think he should either but thats cos i think hes male regardless of what he says or wears

CrayonShavings · 26/02/2016 23:06

This is where "preferred pronouns" has got us.
