Do feminists believe that vented tumble driers or condensers are best?

Sorry. Inspired by another thread. Grin

Challenging questions for feminists.

Do feminists believe slates or tiles are best for the roof?

Do feminists prefer fitted carpets or floorboards with rugs?

Do feminists believe gammon is best cooked in cherry cola or classic coke?

Do feminists believe potatoes should be mashed or roasted with roast chicken?

Do feminists believe that before they smash the patriarchy, they should focus on male victims of domestic violence or prostate cancer?

I could go on all night but you get the picture. Hmm

No no, grimble saw it too - or rather didn't. We had definitely stepped into the pub's disembodied kitchen, and ... the goat wasn't there

Maybe it had run off with the gammon and cider. Oi goat, what have you been up to?

ErrolTheDragon · 23/01/2015 16:46

The last I saw of the goat it was on a shelf in a whorehouse (a maths thread which developed in an unexpected direction). It might not have been a feminist goat though, come to think.

Yonic consciousnesseseseseses get raised. Opinions evolve and change and we get more information and analyse further. You can't expect people's views on celery to be static

UptoapointLordCopper · 23/01/2015 18:55

Ooo! A Maths thread! Where is it?

YonicScrewdriver · 23/01/2015 19:07

Oh goddess, did we get one of those Schrödinger's goats?

So we have a pub goat which is both dead and alive and a bit quantum?

You know we're going to be told we're too cerebral and up ourselves again, don't you?

YonicScrewdriver · 23/01/2015 20:51

Arse.

I did not think of that.

PuffinsAreFictitious · 23/01/2015 20:53

S'fine with me.

I am fairly cerebral. I have also been known to be a bit up myself.

This may, or may not be the truth.

UptoapointLordCopper · 23/01/2015 21:01

Me too puffin. Up myself and proud of it. Grin

Pretentious? Watashi?

Betya the cat belonged to Mrs Schrodinger. Only she gets none of the credit.

ErrolTheDragon · 23/01/2015 23:16

I never understood why Schrodinger mentally consigned a cat of all creatures to his box. I mean, anyone who's ever had to put a cat in a box knows perfectly well if it's alive from the awful noise it makes. He should have used a tortoise.

Based on the experiences of my aunts, about 50% of tortoises did turn out to be dead in the box come the spring. Smelt a bit as well. So much for those hibernation lessons from Blue Peter.

I completely and utterly adore this thread with only 3 tiny little quibbles.

  1. It makes me feel a bit intellectually inadequate, something I'm not usually prone to

  2. It's a class goat, not a feminist goat, surely? Or is that a different goat? Which one has long hair?

  3. (this is actually a great big fat quibble and partially negates the first quibble above) TOO MANY DAMNED STRAY APOSTROPHES. Or is this an in-joke I missed? Should I have typed "apostrophe's"?

ps Shrodinger couldn't use the tortoise because Zeno had already shot it.
