Do feminists believe that vented tumble driers or condensers are best?

Sorry. Inspired by another thread. Grin

Challenging questions for feminists.

Do feminists believe slates or tiles are best for the roof?

Do feminists prefer fitted carpets or floorboards with rugs?

Do feminists believe gammon is best cooked in cherry cola or classic coke?

Do feminists believe potatoes should be mashed or roasted with roast chicken?

Do feminists believe that before they smash the patriarchy, they should focus on male victims of domestic violence or prostate cancer?

I could go on all night but you get the picture. Hmm

I saw the goady thread. At least page one, MNHQ had zapped it before I got to page 2. Spoilsports. So I do understand the thread but I really don't know anything about tumble driers.

thatstoast · 21/01/2015 22:24

And should it be mayonnaise or tomato sauce to dip them in?

Both, us feminists like to have it all. Arf Arf!

PuffinsAreFictitious · 21/01/2015 22:29

As an ancient feminist 'any fule kno' that the vinegar goes on first as the salt then sticks better to the chips.

Anyone who has roast meat/poultry with mash instead of roasties is a heathen.

And what an amazing actor Mark Rylance is. I was watching Wolf Hall with trepidation as I loved the books so very much and was so gripped by his portrayal of Cromwell.

PetulaGordino · 21/01/2015 23:01

Talk about focusing on the needs of elite feminists

Some people don't have access to roofs, floors, gammon or potatoes and feminists never advocate for them at all

Some of you didn't know that feminists cook gammon in cider??? Well, ffs. No wonder the patriarchy... Oh, I give up.

Can we have a celery icon?

LemonDrizzleTwunt · 22/01/2015 00:29

Ooh...not sure about HP sauce...they make patriarchal adverts.

IrenetheQuaint · 22/01/2015 00:40

I can't believe no one has realised that the thread title is a trick question! Tumble driers of all types are tools of the patriarchy, designed to force women to spend their whole lives fretting over laundry when they could be discovering ther inner goddess and enjoying multi-orgasmic non-penetrative sex.

UptoapointLordCopper · 22/01/2015 13:32

How have I miss this thread! I have so many opinions on these things!

But I'm distracted by a PP putting celery in curry. Shock

LightningOnlyStrikesOnce · 22/01/2015 13:41

I'm chip-less (sob) but I'm waving my celery frantically. Hope to be addressing the lack of chips soon. I'm also proud to announce that I'm lacking in the dryer department. No patriarchy in this house .

AnnieLobeseder · 22/01/2015 14:15

I don't cook my gammon in anything. Being a Jewish vegetarian and all. Does that mean I can't be a feminist? Even if I like celery and condenser tumble driers and salt-and-vinegar-anything?

LightningOnlyStrikesOnce · 22/01/2015 16:37

No no, you've got to dislike the tumble dryers. So you're only on two out of four too (forgot I don't do gammon either). I really think we need to emphasise the role of celery, it is the key unifier.

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 22/01/2015 17:11

Celery is intersectional. I'm happy with that sisters.

EElisavetaofJingleBellsornia · 22/01/2015 17:13

Whoa, whoa. MASH??!? With a roast?! What is this heresy?

I mean, really. We had a troll, yes, it wasn't pretty. But you can take things TOO FAR.

Celery in curry, however, is inspired.

UptoapointLordCopper · 22/01/2015 17:15

No! Celery in curry is serious heresy. The only vegetables allowed in a curry are aubergines and potatoes. And maybe swedes. And carrots, depending on the type of curry. And maybe courgettes and butternut squash. But NO CELERY. Or jerusalem artechoke. No no no.

laineylou · 22/01/2015 17:36

I have learned so much. Should my veg drawer be segrated into phallic symbols of the patriarchy and feminist symbols of the mother/goddess principal? Eager fridgefem.
