www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2638049/7-dead-drive-shooting-near-UC-Santa-Barbara.html

22 yo man murders 7 people as revenge for women not sleeping with him.

"Why are girls sexually attracted to obnoxious, brutish men instead of sophisticated gentlemen such as myself?"

KoalaFace · 28/05/2014 18:14

Sorry I meant to say "berating" not "bashing".

22honey · 28/05/2014 18:15

'I wonder how many financially abused single parents are going to wrongly get reported for fraud by a nosey neighbour because of articles like this.

What they wont see is the ex not paying the child support. But hey never mind. The mum can pay the CSA £20 to sort it and everything will be sweet.'

I have no idea, but I do know several people who lie to the benefits system about being a single parent whilst their DP works and pretends to live at home with his mother.

The women I know who do this, some do it because the man is a selfish financially abusing immature tool who doesn't contribute anything to the house, the others do it and lead a rather cushty lifestyle because all their main outgoings are paid for by benefits and their DP's are not selfish and will spend the entire wage on the familys luxuries and non essentials (because they can due to the scam)

I don't know anyone that would ever report any of these people, most working and lower class people can see and understand why they do it. I'm sure some people with an axe to grind would report them, but I have no idea why someone would report a genuine single parent who was being fucked over by their ex.

Surely such a person isn't going to be shopping for clothes all the time or going on holiday like some of the scammers I know do (BIL does this and he and his family have just returned from a foreign holiday, his partner is always decked out in the latest designer gear etc)

AnyFucker · 28/05/2014 18:16

I think your defensive reactions are a real shame

They are a form of sabotage. Just when conversation warms up, you close it down again with silly and pointless defensiveness.

22honey · 28/05/2014 18:19

Anyfucker, the post wasn't even directed at you so I've no idea why your putting your spin on what motivated it. Please just be quiet for god's sake.

It does sound very berating and I couldn't give less of a shit if you think I sound defensive.

Darkesteyes · 28/05/2014 18:24

because all their main outgoings are paid for by benefits and their DP's are not selfish and will spend the entire wage on the familys luxuries and non essentials (because they can due to the scam)

re. your second analogy.....What would these partners say if their partners said....I don't want to do it like this anymore. Financial abuse comes in many forms.

KristinaM · 28/05/2014 18:26

" Please just be quiet for god's sake." !!!!

Missing the point of a chat board I think

Not sure why you think you have the right to tell others to be quiet

22honey · 28/05/2014 18:29

'I didn't say it comes purely from working class womens mags.

I said they are PART of the problem.

And its the execs at the top who decide on the content.
Most of whom are male.'

Wait, so a MAN decides what goes into women's magazines? All of them?

No wonder they are so utterly shite, although this surprises me to be honest.

AnyFucker · 28/05/2014 18:29

I'll be quiet when you start listening, honey

AnyFucker · 28/05/2014 18:30

I can see why most people have hotfooted it away from this thread.

It's the honey show and nothing less will do Grin

22honey · 28/05/2014 18:31

're. your second analogy.....What would these partners say if their partners said....I don't want to do it like this anymore. Financial abuse comes in many forms.'

Its not an analogy, its what several people I know do. Again you are just picking parts of my posts and putting your own spin on what I am actually saying.

What do you mean if their partners said they didn't want to do it anymore? How am I supposed to know what they would say, the partner could have any reason for making such an announcement. What are you trying to get at??

22honey · 28/05/2014 18:32

'I'll be quiet when you start listening, honey'

Really patronizing. Am I insisting you listen to me? Why are you so special that I must listen to and agree with everything you say? Is it because like you said before, you are older and middle class?

22honey · 28/05/2014 18:33

'It's the honey show and nothing less will do grin'

No, you just don't agree with me so keep perpetuating the myth that I am making the thread all about me, when really all I am doing is disagreeing which is what happens on a discussion forum.

Why don't you just accept I hold different views to you and can air them if I wish? Its almost like you have a massive superiority complex.

AnyFucker · 28/05/2014 18:34
Grin
22honey · 28/05/2014 18:36

'
Not sure why you think you have the right to tell others to be quie'

Not sure why others think they have the right to keep picking parts of my posts, putting their own spin on what I mean and then trying to pass it off as what I did actually mean.

Darkesteyes · 28/05/2014 18:46

"Not sure why others are putting their own spin on what I mean"

Like you did to me here honey

Stop trying to berate me constantly. Its ridiculous to suggest benefit bashing comes from purely working class women's magazines

22honey · 28/05/2014 19:22

You did state that it came from women's magazines, I merely pointed out I don't read them and all the benefit bashing I have seen is on main news websites and tv channels like Channel 4 and the DM to name but two.

If there is loads of benefit bashing in Woman's Own then fine, I just havnt seen it because I don't read it.

FloraFox · 28/05/2014 20:02

Only 2 of his victims were women, and tbh if you want to get semantic about it neither were the 'type' of woman he was clearly so angry about. I wouldn't have called neither of the women he killed great beauties or 'hot blondes'.

You gave up the moral highground quite some time ago 22honey

AnyFucker · 28/05/2014 20:08

I thought I was the only one who had picked up on that, Flora. She also disses the blokes he killed, so at least in that respect she is an equal ops minimiser.

Darkesteyes · 28/05/2014 21:01

22honey Wed 28-May-14 19:22:48

You did state that it came from women's magazines

Yes Then you said that I said that was the ONLY place it came from. I didn't.

ReallyFuckingFedUp · 28/05/2014 21:05

I haven't read the full thread but in case it hadn't been mentioned.

The women who were killed were not "unusual" .

Violence against women in university is at epidemic levels. Wealth and status are nice to have but don't stop you getting raped or abused.

Darkesteyes · 28/05/2014 21:17

there is a massive "lad culture" going on at unis It was covered in Kirsty Warks recent documentary.

CaptChaos · 28/05/2014 21:29

RFFU it is, especially in the USA. 51 universities are under federal investigation for their handling of sexual violence, UC Berkeley being one of them. linky

BriarRainbowshimmer · 28/05/2014 21:29

I wonder why it makes many people so angry when you talk about misogyny/men's violence against women. I understand not wanting to think about it. But getting angry?

OP posts:
Darkesteyes · 28/05/2014 21:32

Bloody hell Chaos Sad Angry

CaptChaos · 28/05/2014 22:34

I know Darkest. Sad Angry

There was a thing about how bad it's got in Harvard and other Ivy League colleges the other week. It's been building up since Steubenville, lots of women came forward and said that that was their experience too. The worst of it is the institutional covering up that's been done. These are not poor kids, not working class, but the men/boys involved feel entitled to the ends of the earth. It's fucking horrendous.
