Apologies if there has already been a thread on this.

Bj strap

I actually don't know what to say about this.

This thread is years old and inactive. If you've found this page in search of Ann Summers products that have been tried and tested by fellow Mumsnet users, you might find our guide to the best Ann Summers sex toys useful. Hope this helps! MNHQ 💐

Right I am going to show it to DH and ask him what he thinks. Not going to say why I am showing it.

MamaMaiasaura · 21/03/2012 20:06

That is a fucking awful degrading product.

Starwisher · 21/03/2012 20:07

Sardine, yes I see what yor saying and agree

Sardine do you also think these free porn tube sites should be banned? I worry more about that than Ann summers

BareBums · 21/03/2012 20:09

I am quite shocked by this product, and the description would be laughable if it wasn't so disgusting

I would only give my DH a bj if I was in full control, actually I think he would feel mighty uncomfortable using that product anyway.

My god.

AsCorruptAsWhisky · 21/03/2012 20:10

Dworkin, I am lesbian. I have only used a strap-on twice in my life, both with the same partner. No other partner that I have ever had has even contemplated using a strap-on.

I was asking a question. Does it change things if there is no man in the equation? Or if it was two men? Not that they aren't influenced by society's values, but because the "heterosexual man" is not asserting his dominance over a "submissive female". I'm genuinely interested?

SardineQueen · 21/03/2012 20:10

He looked confused and then rather yuk

Not his cup of tea obv!

I then asked him what he thought the MN feminists made of it.

"Not much" was the response Grin

AsCorruptAsWhisky · 21/03/2012 20:12

But why should they have to seek it out? That stigmatises it. Young people shouldn't be taught that they have to do this, but they shouldn't be taught that it is inherently bad and depraved either.

SardineQueen · 21/03/2012 20:13

I think that "adult content" should be opt-in and with some kind of mechanism to stop anyone under 18 accessing it at all.

It is horrendous to think that secondary age/6th form children are learning about sex (and porn isn't real sex, is it) from it.

Starwisher · 21/03/2012 20:13

Now I'm agreeing a bit more with corrupt....

Starwisher · 21/03/2012 20:15

Yes I'm a shocked at sites like redtube

Actually banned is ott and fine for consenting adults, but a least sign up to the thing proving you are 18

Dillytante · 21/03/2012 20:16

I would probably have bought this at uni. I was young and naive & did many things I am ashamed of to try & make men like me. And it's Ann Summers so it's normal, right?

Wrong. It's simply playing at abuse.

Also, handcuffs are one thing, if you are not comfortable you can say no, or 'jelly' or whatever your control word is. What the fuck are you supposed to do when you are strapped onto a cock stuck in your mouth?

OP posts:
SardineQueen · 21/03/2012 20:16

Because part of the fun of a new interest is seeking out stuff to do with it.

I hardly think that having to look on the internet rather than your local tescos for equipment related to fisting or auto-erotic asphixiation (sp) or japanese bondage ropes is an appalling suppression of different sexual interests.

Dworkin · 21/03/2012 20:19

Of course societies values has an influence. We are taught femininity and masculinity from a very early age within the advert driven society in which we live in. Are you immune to adverts? No. you are not. However when it's pointed out, in a singular term, as the OP has done, it totally brings it into context.

How anyone who disagrees and argues against this is why this thread is so long.

Starwisher · 21/03/2012 20:20

Would that be tesco value ropes then? Wink

AsCorruptAsWhisky · 21/03/2012 20:23

Of course there is a line between hard core bondage and extreme bondage. But it isn't as if John Lewis is selling blow job straps. Ann Summers is a known sex toy shop as well as a popular lingerie shop.

Dworkin, I said said that there WERE influenced by society's values. It wasn't an argument, it was a genuine question.

AsCorruptAsWhisky · 21/03/2012 20:25

I do understand that there are issues, though. A quick google search made me gag.

Dworkin · 21/03/2012 20:26

star: promotion much? re a porn site on a women's right forum? I despair.

Dilly I'm with you regarding what I did when younger.

ledkr · 21/03/2012 20:27

Dh said you'd have to be a cunt to use one.

I haven't linked to a site

God grief I hate that site why would I promote it

Maybe anyone who linked to anything sexual should also be made answerable to you

Op obviously you have been using this thread to promote Ann summers

You should now pm dworkin to explain yourself

Dworkin · 21/03/2012 20:30

@star Insane am I? LOL

Beachcomber · 21/03/2012 20:31

I agree with you Dillytante. I think you are being very common sense about this.

Why is sex so important to this crazy society of ours? Genuine question.

Yes, it feels good, sometimes it results in a baby which is cool when that is what is wanted. But WHY is sex such a major huge fucking deal in patriarchy??

MmeLindor. · 21/03/2012 20:32

Can you imagine if that thing were marketed as a cunnilingus aid?

"This strap is designed to give her more control while she's receiving oral sex, without having to get his hair gel on her hands! This soft and sexy strap will allow her to be in charge of her own pleasure (and it also means you don't have to do as much work).

Sex Accessories

The Luxury Lace Cunnilingus Strap is a gorgeous padded strap held via handloops and wrapped round the back of his head to give him extra support and give her more pleasurable leverage. And of course, you'll find plenty of other orgasmic ways to use it during sex..."

Nothing turns me on more than forcing my partner to stick his face into my fanjo. Not.

The word "leverage" makes me in this context.

AsCorruptAsWhisky · 21/03/2012 20:32

I like sex being important in today's society. That doesn't make unempowerfulised, does it?
