The way I am reading this is he is that firstly he is sorry for being unfaithful to whoever he was with at the time - ok I get that.

But I am finding this a little creepy on other levels because I think if you apologise to your groupies, it implies you think you were taking advantage of them at the time? Or is it that he misled them all into thinking they were his only partner (at a rate of 3 a day, that'd be hard to do).

(please MN lawyers note I am not saying that Mick Hucknall has done anything wrong...)

Yes, the only reason to apologise is if he told a lot of lies to get people into bed. Pure shagging = no need to apologise unless you're reallybadatit pretty sure you didn't show them the respect they deserved. Which is what it sounds like.

Yes I would probably have slept with whole bands given the opportunity, right after a gig when I was drunk and in awe (not MH though. obviously). Certainly wouldn't be expecting an apology FFS unless they'd had to persuade me into it. Which they wouldn't.

Isn't he apologising because he is in recovery? Not sure what his addiction is (sex?) but apologising to people you may have hurt as a consequence of addiction is step 7 or 8 of the twelve step programme isn't it?

I suspect he is apologising due to abusing his fame, money and position and treating women like shit, I think it's a bit harsh to give him this much grief for apologising. He can't change the past so the only alternative to him apologising is him just not bothering at all.

Is he not just trying to give some perspective on how much of a mess he was?

I detest the word 'womanising'. What does it even mean? If the connotation is 'having sex with many people in quick succession with little care for their feelings', why 'womanising'?

I'd like to 'womanise' him, as in imbue him with some of the most commonly found aspects of being a woman
