Background: 8 weeks post parting. PPH losing 1.4 litres of blood after delivery. Theatre sorted it. Bleeding non stop until I had Implanon at 4 weeks PP and a week later started Cerelle to curb the bleeding. Bleeding stopped for a week. Came back last night.

What the actual fuck is it? It's like raw meat, not bloody and just laying there on the pad. It's about an inch long and 2cm or so thick. Waiting on out of hours GP to call me back but any ideas? I'm 30, third child and I've never experienced anything like this.

We're on to the next week. The Misaprostol didn't seem to do anything but give me painful cramping and spotting lighter than a period for a few days. I guess because I'm on the implant there's no significant amounts of lining to come away from the uterus now.

I have a scan on Wednesday morning and an appointment with the doctor straight after to discuss options. Histology still hasn't come back as to what the piece was and subsequently, what is still inside me.

My DC is 12 weeks old now. I'm sure they'll have to do a D&C now

Are you still feeling under the weather?

Not really. It's strange. It's not like I feel unwell but just a bit bogged down and sluggish. I can motivate myself out of it with a bit of fresh air and doing things but if DH came home early and said to go for a nap, I 100% would. Not enough to say under the weather but not like normal me.

Hopefully I'll update with a plan tomorrow morning!

Consultants are agreeing whether a evac or another op that's pretty much the same but with a camera too and chipping away at it manually would be better and will ring me sometime today with their decision.

Have they tested your ferretin/iron levels. Sounds like you have lost a lot of blood. Can make you feel tired and sluggish if they are low

oh you poor soul, not what anyone needs with a baby to look after.

I had an emergency section with my 1st DD and somehow they missed removing all my placenta, ended up passing huge clumps on day 4 and a raging intra-uterine infection. Explained why I had so much pain and couldn't lift my DD. Iv antibiotics sorted it and I got home day 7, had my DS 2 years later with no lasting issues.... but I have regretted since then not complaining and trying to find out what had happened, the midwives were so horrible to me cause I couldnt do much for myself day 1-3 then so clearly worried once it came to light what was going on. I used to ask for painkillers as soon as they started their medicine round and they made me wait as I was the last bed - sometimes over an hour.

Had the D&C on the 20th and all has been fine since. Going back to discuss my whole ordeal with the consultant but no further scans to check it's definitely gone.

Glad you've been fine since, I hope the consultant appointment goes well and they give you a scan to make sure it's all gone.
