Is it too early to start an Ink Black Heart thread? (No Spoilers)

I tried to hold back until July so I could say 'next month', but apparently the cover design and back cover blurb will be released tomorrow.

Anyone have thoughts and/or predictions they'd like to obsess over for a couple of months?

I know this doesn't quite fit on 'what we're reading' but there isn't a 'what we're desperate to read' board......

I'm so excited! Booked a couple of days off work from 30th August, and the kids are going to have to get their own dinner. 😁

Not too early for me. My copy has been ordered for years it feels like. Can’t come quick enough.

I'm excited. I only discovered Strike in the last year or so and really enjoyed immersing myself in all the books. Of course it's all about Robin and Strike but I do appreciate the cleverness of the side plots too 😁

Ooh, I can't wait for this. it's my birthday 3 days before and ive asked for an Amazon voucher, some nice chocolates and my favourite tea so i can enjoy this while im off that week.

Yay, can't wait. Have loved all the books, but Troubled Blood was soooooo good. I love the name of this one, spooky cover and I love that she's set some of it in Highgate Cemetery, which is a favourite of mine!

I absolutely can't wait. I loved Troubled Blood and Strike and Robin were in such a good place at the end - very excited to see where they go next.

I recently found these and binged an audiobook. The murder thrilller bit is fine but I became obsessed with strike and robin. Really hope their relationship features heavily. I was a bit disappointed at the end of the last one that they were friend zoning. Will be gutted if that’s where she leaves it.

Interesting how the blurb has the main focus character as Robin rather than Strike. Wonder if that's a permanent shift?

I'm very excited about this. So much so that I'd completely forgotten I already pre-ordered it in February.

My main concern is that Strike and Robin become a couple and it all goes a bit Moonlighting.

She wouldn't do that though would she?

I think that JK will just have them as friends for the next few books.
Best buddies , maybe even a new love interest for Robin! I can't see them being together properly for a while yet tbh. Just my opinion , but their relationship dynamic sells books .

Oooh exciting! Am annoyed it's not coming out until the end of the summer as realistically I only ever really have time to read on holiday so will probably have to wait, but am looking forward to reading this.

I don't think it can top Troubled Blood though, I absolutely loved that book!

Not long now! Like others, for me this is being published inconveniently after some time off and I'll be working when it does come out.

Mind you I've got quite a bit of flexi built up. I might take that and not tell DH or the kids...

Just here to say how excited I am, book all pre-ordered and currently re-reading Troubled Blood!

I love all the books, but I just hope IBH isn't as detailed as TB ! At times it did get a bit bogged down with ' strike blew his nose' or Robin buying dry shampoo.
I know that's how she writes and I am a big fan ( honestly ) but some things were a bit unnecessary.
I can't wait to find out what they have been up to : this one will have younger characters in it I believe ! I do love both characters so much
