Book swap

I am thinking that we should do a book swap. You send a book to someone who sends a book to someone and so on. It doesn't matter if you didn't like the book, the next one might please you.

Any takers???????????????????????

I am a fan of Harlan Coben, Denise Ryan and Marian Keyes, Stuart Macbride.

I am up for that!

eidsvold · 07/05/2006 13:19

I would love to but it would cost too much in postage Sad

WigWamBam · 07/05/2006 13:20

Oooh, I might be up for that ...

flamesparrow · 07/05/2006 13:23

I might be able to part with a book.... (It would be hard though!!!) I read absolutely anything Grin

UCM · 07/05/2006 18:11

Doubt it no more than 1.50 2nd class. It will be fun. Also 1.50 is nothing for a book, providing we all agree that they will be paperbacks.

sounds an excellent idea, i'd love to join. :)

UCM · 07/05/2006 23:17

Well I think that we need at least 8 of us. It will be very good, as we will end up reading books that we hadn't before and maybe finding some new authors. If it's just us 4 not to worry, we will make it a bit more select.

UCM - I am in Australia - expensive for you to send to me and if I use the cheap option - sea mail - take up to 3 months.

Kayleigh · 08/05/2006 07:25

I'll join in.

suzywong · 08/05/2006 07:37

we can do an Aussie one eids, there are about 6 or 7 of us aren't there

hannahsaunt · 08/05/2006 10:48

Suzy, Eids, if we hurry up I have books to pass on here...

eidsvold · 08/05/2006 13:31

we could do an aussie one - I'd be up for that... have a cupboard of books I have read and can pass on..... perhaps if you don't want the book back the recipient can donate it to library or something when read if it is in an okay state....

UCM · 08/05/2006 22:10

Bumpetty bump, Come on Girls join in... and recieve a book every now & then!!!!!

OP posts:
UCM · 08/05/2006 22:12

Well I spose the way it will work is we all sign up, then every 3 weeks you pass on a book, to whomever. The more people who join the better.

Is three weeks ok, I read a book if its good in 2 days!!!!

OP posts:
kipper22 · 09/05/2006 10:47

we could go with 3 weeks to start then just post here if we think we'll finish early/late.

kipper22 · 11/05/2006 08:24

so is 6 of us enough?

UCM · 13/05/2006 18:25

if anyone is still up for it, email me on [email protected]. If you all don't mind I will sort out who will send to who and send an email to each of you with all of the addys on it.

Does that sound ok Grin

nikkie · 14/05/2006 16:16

I've emailed you UCM

Wembley · 14/05/2006 16:30

I'd love to join too but I live abroad. You can send books BFPO so would cost first class postage - would that be ok?

beety · 14/05/2006 16:32

we did start this a while back but it fizzled out.

I think we all wrote down what books we had to offer and then set them to htose who asked. With a name of who it was from and then who had read it...not that it was meant to go back to its owner, just intersting.

fullmoonfiend · 14/05/2006 16:35

have emailed you UCM, want to join in if it's not too late?
Maybe we should all say what the last coupla books we just read were - to avoid too much replication and to give us all an idea of who likes reading what?

WelshBoris · 14/05/2006 20:25

Im up for it, Ill email you now UCM

FrannyandZooey · 14/05/2006 20:29

fullmoonfiend · 14/05/2006 20:38
