I am thinking that we should do a book swap. You send a book to someone who sends a book to someone and so on. It doesn't matter if you didn't like the book, the next one might please you.

Any takers???????????????????????

I am a fan of Harlan Coben, Denise Ryan and Marian Keyes, Stuart Macbride.

great I got a book from kipper22! will read it really soon - just need to finish the other two I am on with at the moment first or I will get confused!!

PanicPants · 25/05/2006 17:37

I received my book today [claps hands emoticon!] I'm guessing it's from you PeachyClare - the 99p sticker gave it away!! That and the returen name of c. peach!

Looks fab, great timing as we're going away to cornwall for the weekend tomorrow and I'll need something to do while it rains :o

dewmeadow · 25/05/2006 18:33

I received my book today. I will put yours in the post tomorow UCM - sorry for delay.

CAn I just clarify - when we've read the book we've been sent, do we send IT on to the next person so that everybody reads all of the books and you eventually get yours back?

PanicPants · 25/05/2006 18:36

yes thats the idea

PanicPants · 25/05/2006 18:37

i think!

kipper22 · 25/05/2006 18:38

and are we just going to send it on as soon as it's read? or will we post it in 3 weeks as mentioned at the start of the thread? or shall we post here the all send on at a similar time? just worried that those who read a little slower will end up with a pile of books while others have none.

PanicPants · 25/05/2006 18:41

Yes thats a good idea kipper, we should wait until someone tells us to send on the books, or we've all read them.

dewmeadow · 25/05/2006 19:08

got it!

glassofwine · 25/05/2006 19:10

I'd love to join in, is it too late?

bresha · 25/05/2006 19:21

i think 3 weeks is a good idear, some times its hard to find time to read, but if we do finish earli we can always ask each other who has finished and who hasent

FrannyandZooey · 25/05/2006 21:37

Bumbleweed, thanks for the book you sent, which I have started already and am enjoying very much :)

Boris, I really will try to send yours off tomorrow (sorry folks been a busy week)

bumbleweed · 25/05/2006 22:46

Glad you got it ok, FandZ, I am looking forward to reading your views!

kickassangel · 26/05/2006 15:04

thanks to those of you who sent me the list, i will be posting tomorrow 1st class.

katyrocks · 26/05/2006 19:50

kka, got your email thanks, book in post. hope i didnt confuse you too much!!!

FrannyandZooey · 26/05/2006 20:37

OK, apologies if I have missed this, but could somebody tell me how this is going to work from now on? Do we all send on each book as we finish it, or wait for an instruction to do so? How does discussion of the books work? If I wait for everyone to read the one I have now it will be next year and I will have forgotten what it was about :)

WelshBoris · 26/05/2006 21:18

I have come on just to post EXCATLY the same thing Franny!!!

I was going to keep a note of what I thought of each book, then at the end I thought we could discuss them one at a time?

How does that sound?

FrannyandZooey · 26/05/2006 21:20

Quite anal.

WelshBoris · 26/05/2006 21:23

Not the first time Ive heart that sentence this evening

FrannyandZooey · 26/05/2006 21:29
Shock

TMI boris

erm I have the worst memory of anyone I know

If we are not going to discuss them for 6 months I might as well just read a box of cornflakes

I mean, I will still enjoy reading them but I will not attempt any discussion when it comes round.

I sent yours today boris btw

WelshBoris · 26/05/2006 21:31

How do you propose we do it then? Or are you just not going to join in with the discussion?

FrannyandZooey · 26/05/2006 21:37

I don't think the discussion would lose much by my absence tbh :)

Erm no I don't have a better idea. I expect your idea is the most sensible. Just will everyone keep being interested for a year or however long it will take us to read them all?

WelshBoris · 26/05/2006 21:43

Dont think those who would join in a book swap thread in the first place would be part of the quick fix generation

Personally, Id be in it for the long run
