I've recently joined Weight Watchers as I have three stones to lose. Last year's chat thread has gone a bit quiet so I thought I'd start a fresh one for 2019!

Anyone else out there making a fresh start? Smile

Second weigh in today and lost 1lb. Bit demoralising after wracking up 160fit points and not using all my weeklys. But a loss is a loss and that's 7lb in 2 weeks.

JITSOG · 23/05/2019 14:29

Don’t be disheartened thismeansnothing. I’m sure next week you’ll see a greater loss.

Ive lost 10lbs in four weeks. My BMI is 24 now which I’m very pleased with.

I’m off on holiday tomorrow so I shall be enjoying a week off! But I’ll be back in the game as of next Friday, hoping to lose 7lbs to take me to goal.

Good luck and have a great week everyone!

Hi, can I join in? After promising i'd never diet, after a rocky few years emotionally (deaths/illness/career change) I'm taking my life back and trying to control it.

I don't want to be super skinny, I just want to stop comfort eating and drinking (weakness is deffo evening booze after kids are in bed and we're relaxing in front of the tv) and fit back into my lovely clothes!

I have no idea how much I can lose, or by when. I go away beginning of July and then beginning of August, and would like to feel better about myself then. Looking forward to tips and supporting each other!

eemianostaw · 05/06/2019 10:21

(should add, I signed up to ww today!)

WeightWatching2019 · 08/06/2019 00:36

I'm back... I did really well at the start of the year but then life got in the way. I find it so hard to make the right food choices if I am not in the right headspace, it seems that eating healthily is the first thing to go. I think it's the stress! Grin

I have just re-joined using someone's refer a friend link so here is mine for anyone else - if you use it we both get a free month:

Welcome back WeightWatching2019 I'm just the same when stress comes in my headspace goes!

Had a good first few days, then had a big party weekend. But I knew about that, enjoyed myself and have started to focus more today!

Bluesheep8 · 11/06/2019 05:43

Hi everyone, I've recently re joined. I lost 5 stone on ww propoints and kept my weight stable for over 5 years. Hit my mid 40s and suddenly gained a stone in a few months, despite doing nothing differently. It was my first weigh in last Tuesday and I lost 3 pounds. Next weigh in tonight so I will post the results. Nice to find you all! Smile

Bluesheep8 · 11/06/2019 05:45

Forgot to add, weekend wine is my weakness but being completely back on plan and wine now being more sp than it was on pp, I'm gradually tackling that

Bluesheep8 · 11/06/2019 19:17

2nd weigh in tonight and I only lost half a pound. Still a loss is a loss. Putting it down to the fact that I haven't walked as much as usual due to the awful weather. Onward and downward! Wink

Bluesheep8 · 15/06/2019 08:33

Is it just me or is this thread really quiet?

Bobbindobbin · 20/06/2019 10:06

I’m joining on Monday. Have a very fatty weekend planned (birthday involving pizza and Indian and cream teas🐷) but today I am 12.10 I want to be 10.7 by Xmas. I will weigh in on Thursdays. Could I loose that much by Xmas ?

Bobbindobbin · 20/06/2019 10:08

Ok that’s 31 lbs in 27 weeks so 1.2lb a week. Yes I can loose that I just need to get on with it and do it !!!!

thismeansnothing · 25/06/2019 17:24

Not checked in here for a bit but had my 7th weigh in today and got my 1 stone charm and have lost 15lbs in total since I started. I lost 1.5lb this week and normally would have been made up but racked up 190 fit points, over 100,000 steps for the week so was expecting more. But a loss is a loss.

In other news if your into podcasts then check out 'the secret world of Slimming clubs' . So funny

RolandOnTheRopes · 26/06/2019 16:28

I just joined today, and have gone quite a bit over the allocated points as I wasn't prepared in anyway. I use the kids blue top milk but I'm going to get some semi-skimmed in next week.
Well done on everyone's weight loss so far.
I'm sat here with the app planning next week's meals from the WW recipe list, feeling positive.
I want to lose about 2 stone. I'm happy with my exercise but really need to cut down on the junk food to make a difference.

Bobbindobbin · 26/06/2019 20:30

I’m on day three, fridays will be my weigh day so next weigh day will be the 5th July ,hoping for 3-4lbs off. I want to be in the 11 stone bracket when the kids go back to school in September. 9 weeks.

Fatkins · 29/06/2019 08:14

Hello!

May I join you please?

I just signed up last night, so I think my weigh in day will be Fridays.

I've somehow gained a stone and a half since Christmas, so have gone from comfortably within health BMI range to decidedly overweight. I'd love to lose three stone to get back to my favourite weight, but I'll be happy if I can get back to healthy BMI.

Feeling quite motivated today! It seems like quite a sensible WOE. I'm not expecting massive losses. I'll take anything other than a gain at the moment Blush.

Fatkins · 29/06/2019 08:16

For clarity, I'm 5'8". Have gone from 11 and a half stone, to just shy of 13. My favourite weight is 10 stone, but 11 stone 10 lbs would put me back in healthy range. Thought I'd be more specific, for my own records if nothing else! Desperately in need of some accountability Blush.

thismeansnothing · 29/06/2019 13:07

@RolandOnTheRopes we've had a few recipes from the app the past few weeks. Ones I recommend are the :-

Harissa burgers with flatbreads. Turkey keema and flatbreads.
Harissa sausage traybake.
Chicken, chorizo and broccoli traybake.
Blackened chicken.
Orange and ginger chicken with brocolli rice.
Honey/mustard chicken with green beans and new potatoes
Curried chicken , chickpea and sweetpotato traybake.

Great thank you!

FiveShelties · 30/06/2019 10:59

Everyone seems to be doing really well. I have just returned from a month long holiday and think it could be bad news when I weigh in tomorrow. So many restaurants, so much wine ---- so many calories/pointsGrin

RolandOnTheRopes · 30/06/2019 12:45

What are people having as an alternative to bread? I just had egg mayo sandwich for lunch, and the Tesco Seeded bread was 4 points per slice! Should I have had egg salad instead? Should I stop sandwiches or is there one with low points?

HippyTrails · 01/07/2019 10:39

Good morning, i'm a WW member & have been for the past 2 years. So far I have lost 65ib's but have found this year really tough & appear to be losing & gaining the same 12ibs over & over again.

Can I join your thread please for a kick ?

HippyTrails · 01/07/2019 10:58

@RolandOnTheRopes - I use either WW bread of a wrap, quite like the Sainsbury be good to yourself wraps. WW Danish bread is 1 point per slice or 3 points for 2 slices however be careful as it does tend to disintegrate easily, especially with a soggy filling such as egg mayo :-)

thismeansnothing · 01/07/2019 21:18

@RolandOnTheRopes with bread I either have a sandwich thin or bagel thin OR I get Aldis thick sliced seeded bread but only use one slice to make a butty.

I made the cod tagine and cous cous for tea tonight. It's really good and have a portion of the base/sauce for the freezer
