Does anyone want to join me?! Smile I need to lose 3 stone hopefully a stone and but in time for March if I can!

I'm already a member of ww online I have the app and just getting used to the new smart points system! Like a refresh think it will be good to do something new again!

Bought a fit bit with xmas money and had it two days love it already! It updates activity points onto the ww app though I won't be eating these.

Hopefully if anyone joins me we can motivate each other

I just can't sort out the weekends at the moment. Good all week when left to my own devices but struggle at weekend when DH around.

I'm using smart points and it has really helped me with my sugar addiction.

bettybyebye · 25/04/2016 08:45

I'm using smart points too and it seems to be working well for me.

Well done on the recent losses people. I had a great start to the week but the weekend has been my downfall! Wine and popcorn at the cinema on Friday night, pub dinner, prosecco and cocktails on Saturday night and DH's homemade pizza last night Blush

However I was making the most of having a child free weekend which does not happen often so trying not to feel too guilty. And I did do the park run on Saturday morning (5k in 37 mins, not too bad considering it's been a long time since I last ran) and went for a swim on Sunday so have at least been active. Scales this morning showing 0.5lb gain so going to try to have a super good day today before weigh in tomorrow. If I can STS I will be delighted!

Hope everyone has a good week

dottyaboutstripes · 25/04/2016 14:24

I haven't checked in for a while. I've been struggling big time. Feeling a bit sad about it all, I've been doing WW for 15 years and at goal for coming up to 13 but smart points and I are really not getting along too well Confused
My official weigh in is tomorrow but I stepped on the scales this morning and I was up by 5lbs. FIVE LBS!!!
Hopefully being super sensible today will mean maybe "only" a 3lb official gain?

poorpaws · 25/04/2016 16:38

Oh dotty I so feel your pain. I have been really struggling for over two weeks. Was at M&S cafe today for jacket potatoes and chicken curry followed by coffee and walnut cake (it wasn't even very nice as it was the last piece and very dry but I still ate it)! Also I have a tea shop lunch on Wednesday which will involve a lot of cake eating.

Could you go back to Propoints dotty? I am starting afresh on 1 May If you'd like to join me. I need a few days to reduce my sugar high before I can seriously begin again. I'm so upset with myself as I feel I've wasted the whole of April messing about instead of getting on with it. Fingers crossed for a lower weighin figure for you.

Hope the weigh ins go well this week. I'm not weighing unti 1 May now but I'll still be popping in most days to hear your progress everyone. Good luck!

Oh the weekend! I messed up big time. I still feel rotten having eaten a load of rubbish. Pulled it back a little yesterday but I think I've wrecked this week. I'm really frustrated with myself but it looks like the weekend is tricky for most of us. I need to plan next weekend better, maybe do a No Count day after I've had wine. I had about a bottle of wine on Friday night - pointed it - but then felt so rough on sat that I ate all day and continued on Sunday. Could I maybe - gasp!- do this weekend without any wine???

Boredworkingmum020 · 26/04/2016 16:34

Hi can I join. Been doing WW for 3 weeks now.so far lost 6lb. Desperately trying to lose weight to help with fertility. Finding it fairly easy doing at the moment. The new smart points seems to be helping tackle my carb addiction!

bettybyebye · 26/04/2016 17:57

Welcome bored! That's a great start Smile I too am finding my carb intake has dramatically reduced thanks to smart points which I'm sure can only be a good thing!

Miraculously managed a 1lb loss this week - I guess that although I had a bad weekend I was really good for he first part of the week and exercised every day which must have helped.

Current favourite low point snack/breakfast in my group are pikelets! Like thin crumpets but less than half the points. You can have 2 for 3sp and that makes a filling breakfast - I have a tsp of peanut butter on mine. Only problem is they are quite hard to find in the supermarkets but sainsburys and m&s do them

RupertPupkin · 26/04/2016 19:53

Like lots of you I'm also struggling at the weekend. Monday to Thursday? Easy, absolutely no problem. Friday to Sunday ... bleurgh. The first few weeks I did well but have relaxed a bit now and this week saw a 2lb gain. :(

It's really made me realise what a fine balance everything is - I just can't afford to go crazy at weekends anymore!

oncetwicetwotimesamummy · 26/04/2016 20:31

Reassuring to know I'm not the only one struggling with weekends!

Miffytastic · 27/04/2016 12:08

Ooh thanks for the pikelets tip, i love crumpets
This weekend I went off piste and enjoyed a whole pack of potato cakes as I was feeling ill - didn't work out the points Shock

I find my weekends usually go much better when I'm not drinking. I tend to just drink on special occasions or when out these days, so maybe 3 times a month rather than every weekend night ISYWIM. I always seem to eat badly with a hangover.

RebeccaMumsnet · 29/04/2016 13:56

Hello, a bit late to this but can i join in?
I started on Tuesday so am only on day 3 but feeling good so far. Genuinely not hungry but also feeling like it's a bit too good to be true and the scales will be my judge and jury on tuesday.

Days are fine when i WFH, i'm saving at least 15 SP for evening meal with the DC, not sure how i'll fair at the weekend, fingers crossed.

I bought a load of lovely raspberries, blueberries and strawberries for myself this week and they've all gone... to the DC

Any who, i'll update following my first weigh in on tuesday...

KenDoddsDadsDog · 29/04/2016 14:10

Welcome Rebecca !
3lbs off last night - that's a 2 week loss as no weigh last week . My Fitbit 10k a day must be helping Grin

Well done Ken and downstairs - great losses! And welcome Rebecca, sounds like you're off to a great start!

Downstairs I wear a Fitbit - just the basic zip one and I love it, definitely think I move more as a result (although have barely done any steps today!) I only managed to sync the Fitbit with the ww app yesterday and am gutted I didn't do it sooner. It tells you how many fit points you've earned based on the Fitbit so yesterday I did 12000 steps and earned 12 fit points...very motivating!

What height are you downstairs? 9st12lb is my ideal goal and I am 5'5"...

RebeccaMumsnet · 29/04/2016 15:39

I've got a Fitbit too, what do the fit points mean? Are we supposed to hit a certain amount each week? Confused

bettybyebye · 29/04/2016 17:42

You can choose to set a fit points goal if you want to but it's not compulsory. I think when I first logged in to the app it automatically set me a goal of 15 fit points a week.

My leader says that once you have earned 4 fit points in one day you are then allowed to eat any extras - eg I earned 12 fit points yesterday so could have eaten an extra 8 smart points if I wanted to. I try not to use them for food unless I'm desperate!

Are you using the ww app? If so I would really recommend syncing your fit bit to it so it converts your fit points automatically. Roughly speaking 1000 steps = 1 fit point

Can I join in as well? Started (for the millionth) time on Tuesday. Had been doing fairly well until I went massively off track last night :( am hoping that being extra good today will make up for it slightly!

Resurgo · 30/04/2016 10:49

Hello all! I weighed in on Thurs and had put 3lbs on! It wasn't even a surprise as I spent the week eating rubbish so I have bought a WW journal and I'm buckling down with a 10 week goal of 20lbs. That takes me to the end of June when I have a party to go to. My aim is also to increase exercise over the 10 weeks and generally do more things to look after myself. I've stuck to it so far but I need to watch out over the weekend. Always the danger zone!

RebeccaMumsnet · 30/04/2016 20:55

I've synced my Fitbit and I've earned 30 points so far this week, I've not done anything additional excercise wise Blush
I don't really want to use the fit points as food, that'd be a slippery slope for me I reckon, although I'm doing the half moon (15 mile walk around London) in a couple of weeks so I think I may have to use some then!
It's been surprisingly simple to eat with the kids but adjust my meal to suit. We had minute steak, asparagus, baby sweet corn, broccoli and chips and I just loaded up the veg and didn't eat the chips. I was full and very little points, although feels a bit like low carbing, without the fat.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 30/04/2016 21:50

I have a Fitbit Alta , it's great. I don't eat my points but have been really hungry this week. I'm earning about 10 to 12 a day.

Wisheverydaywasfriday · 01/05/2016 11:20

Hi! Do you mind if I join in too? Have been reading the thread this week, and you're all very motivating! I started WW (again!) on Monday. I've put on so much since last summer, and the sales have just been going up and up.

I weighed in at 11 st 5 lb, and although I'm quite tall, it really shows. Fed up of trying to hide the rolls, and wearing 'camouflage clothing'. I think I've had quite a good week to start me off. Weigh in tomorrow evening, so fingers crossed.
