If only one could survive on Jaffa cakes alone!!!

Feeling rubbish despite my nap so think I am going to have an early night. Got a busy busy day 2moro & am stressing about it so hoping that I'll actually manage to sleep. DH has bought me some night nurse so shall take them & see if it knocks me out!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/07/2010 20:23

Here you are Blondes and Bebe!

Good to see you Blondes and laughalot, glad your hols were good. To be honest we were all a bit

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/07/2010 20:27

sooooooooo kind piste - thanks

and if you saw my tan you would be really

have to say ive gone a fab brown which makes me even more blonde

RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/07/2010 21:10

Blondes...thank gawd I can't see your tan cos I'm enough!

We went to Japan last summer and I went weirdly brown, like really really brown and I looked like someone else! I don't really know why because more often than not it was hot, humid and overcast!

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/07/2010 21:46

When I get the chance I will add a pic to my profile and make public for a few hours

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 13/07/2010 21:57

Ooh I would love a nice tan, the last time I went really brown was in Greece about 5 years ago! Still, I am retaining my youthful looks I guess

Dinner went wrong, was knackered and ended up with DH getting fish and chips. Must try harder tomorrow.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 14/07/2010 08:37

Is it Friday yet?!

GettinTrimmer · 14/07/2010 11:13

Only Wednesday!

ali I know the must try harder tomorrow feeling. I get it all the time.

No worries about hijacking, we all do it. At my wedding I remember we only had my niece and nephew, we didn't ask anybody else's kids, but some friends asked if they could bring their 1 year old, we said yes, and they took her to a babysitter after the ceremony and meal. She was well behaved. Yes, I think I can see where you are coming from. Do you have to travel far for the wedding?

No chance of having a good day tomorrow, I'm taking my mum to London on the train for her 80th birthday, we are going on the London Eye (apologies, I might have told you all this before? It's me age), then having a meal and finishing off with going to Brick Lane to see my niece's art exhibition.

blondes yes, would love to be nosey and have a look at your tan.

Interview today GT?

RatherBeOnThePiste · 14/07/2010 12:01

If so I have it ALL crossed for you. So much so that I will fall over!

GettinTrimmer · 14/07/2010 13:03

It's on Friday!!

I visited the school today, lovely little school that's been recently refurbished. Had a good look at the library. I am just off to practice Flat Stanly on a group of year 2 in the dcs school, not read it for ages.

Thanks Piste, and thanks for suggesting Flat Stanely. Let's hope it is gripping!

OP posts:
RatherBeOnThePiste · 14/07/2010 13:37

Good luck with it GT
And have a great time in the smoke tomorrow. I love the London Eye and the textile thing sounds great too. I hope your mum enjoys it.

I shall uncross everything if you don't mind and cross it all again on Friday. I peaked too soon!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 14/07/2010 13:38

Oh GT good luck!

I measured myself today. In 7 weeks I have lost 3 inches off my bust - around boobs and also from underneath, I have lost 6 inches off my waist and 2.5 off my hips! Such a brilliant feeling, I'm so happy. Long way to go but I don't look like an enormous fat person any longer if that makes sense? I look overweight, but normal - does anyone else understand that?

No shredding yet today, woke up late and had to go out this morning. Will do it when DS goes down for his nap in a bit.

Hope everyone is having a good day food-wise!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 14/07/2010 14:56

Am doing appraisals. They are even worse than reports

It would be so much easier with a kit kat.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 14/07/2010 17:18

Or even 20 kit kats....

GettinTrimmer · 14/07/2010 18:06

I have just had 4 pieces of (low fat) garlic bread

PBM come and let us know how you are. Take care x

Murtette · 14/07/2010 19:57

Welcome back laugh & blondes. We've missed you!

I know what you mean about jaffa cakes. I had three today! Otherwise, had porridge for breakfast, prawn, cottage cheese & cucumber sandwich (alth there wasn't much bread in it as I kept having to break bits off to give to DD), have snacked on an apple, some grapes and two carrots and we're having sausage and mash for supper.

GT - good luck for Friday

Piste - I'm sure you'll race through the rest of the appraisals and then you'll have a lovely long summer stretching out in front of you. What are your plans?

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/07/2010 20:03

was sports day today and we then went to pizza express

thought i might as well be bad till friday then really haul my arse back into gear - tho obv monday will be a day off as my birthday

bebejones · 14/07/2010 20:40

Have had a bad day! Had hospital appt so had Subway for lunch while DH & I 'discussed' things. Then went out for a friends birthday drink & had ta pizza & chips for dinner!

BUT I did take DD to the wetlands centre with toddler group this morning & trekked around there for 1.5hours...so that has to help right?!?!

Seriously knackered, it's been a really full on day! Must try harder 2moro diet wise. Think I have overdone it a bit being busy today as my knees are quite painful & I'm feeling a bit dizzy

Piste - good luck...have a KitKat...a little one!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 14/07/2010 20:56

I think I need a space on that naughty step too, I'm about to have a sausage sandwich for tea . Cannot seem to sort myself out with proper cooking this week.

bebe - the trekking round will definitely have helped. Is your knees what you were taking the steriods for?

RatherBeOnThePiste · 14/07/2010 21:14

I didn't actually have a kit kat. tWas wishful thinking! The prob with Jaffa cakes is that once I start I actually can't stop!

Blondes- when I last went to pizza express they had this new pizza range which they said were less than 500 Cals. It was like a pizza ring with rocket in the middle. It was really nice although an American hot would have been nicer- LOL!!

Appraisals done for 2010. Hooray! Face to face meetings done and nothing too contentious this year, actually the majority are doing well. What was dull as ditchwater today was writing up the formal review. Yawn!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/07/2010 21:50

piste, i know about those pizza, tho didnt have one

had a roasted pepper based one with peppers and chicken so semi healthy and garlic dough balls , obv NOT healthy lol

might have a salad pizza next time

shuffles over on step for ali and bebe

i think that if i stuff myself now and have what i want/crave/need then come friday it will be a clean slate iyswim

RatherBeOnThePiste · 15/07/2010 07:36

My wedding anniversary today! 15 years. I think that's crystal. I wish it was doughnuts!!

bebejones · 15/07/2010 08:43

Piste lol at doughnuts!! Have a lovely wedding anniversary!

I love pizza express but don't have one near here

Going to try REALLY hard to be good today after yesterdays blow out!

Prob have pesto pasta for lunch & maybe soup for dinner, not sure yet. At any rate shall be drinking lots of water, have got a summer cold & my throat is red raw. Poor DD is suffering too. Rubbish!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 15/07/2010 09:48

Piste - congratulations, have a lovely day!

bebe - poor you feeling so rubbish

I have had a slice of toast for breakfast and I'm going to make bolognese for dinner. Going to Starbucks for lunch with a friend, must try and be good and resist all the cake etc!
