PRETTY - have to say thats complete bull Grin i lost 4stone, maintained for 2yrs, got engaged/married and then carried on maintinging for another 4years so in all maintained for over 5/6years and then the weight started to creep back on :(

hence im on this threads and gained just under 2.5 stone of it :(

bebe, you will always have to watch your weight, harsh but true, so yes enjoy life but throw away ALL fat clothes and when yours get tight DIET its easier to lose a few lbs then a few stone

bebejones · 04/10/2010 11:42

Am making the carrot & ginger soup! Fingers crossed it tastes nicer than the last lot of carrot soup I made!

prettybird · 04/10/2010 12:04

He didn't say it wasn't possible to gain weight - he just said it might get easier to maintain the weight after a couple of years. GrinGrin

Of course, a concerted effort in eating chocolate, haibng the munchies, enjoying wine, kettle crips et al, combined with a reduction in daily exercise has no bearing will also have its effect BlushBlush

bebejones · 04/10/2010 12:27

Soup in in the final 'pasta' stages, but so far so good! Had to add a dash (and I do mean a dash) of OJ (and some water) to add some more fluid as it was quite thick & would be thicker after cooking pasta. Fingers crossed I don't wreck it! House smells fantastic! :o

GettinTrimmer · 04/10/2010 12:31

How's your soup Bebe? Mine was yum.

My problem with weight gain is just forgetting all about it - Blondes is straight-talking and right in what she's saying.

Exercise too - I put on the most weight ever because I didn't exercise (and over-eating of course Blush). It keeps it off, but I find exercise alone doesn't get it off.

bebejones · 04/10/2010 13:09

Soup is good, but is very thick, don't want to water it down & lose the flavour. Has only made 2 portions! Confused

I think exercise & diet is the key. Exercise is my downfall! Blush

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/10/2010 15:59

Blondes is blunt

you should see me in the childcare threads with the things some dappy mums write/ask Grin

blunt and true tho maybe a tad harsh lol

GettinTrimmer · 04/10/2010 16:27

Yes Blondes, but we can take what's true Grin Take your eyes off the ol weight watching - I gained 9lb but it will go again. Slow but sure me, I have a target of being 11 stone by Christmas.

That carrot soup was filling Smile Can anybody post really low cal veggie stews/curries?

Am worried we are going to fall off our thread so

2010 weight loss club : see the old year out in style.

2010 weight loss club : the winter warmers

2010 weight loss club : the wannabe winter waifs

Any ideas quick!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/10/2010 17:45

i like the winter warmers

bebejones · 04/10/2010 17:54

I love wannabe winter waifs! :o

prettybird · 04/10/2010 17:58

I like wannabe waifs - winer warmers makes me think of cosy, rich, calorific meals in front of a roaring fire (toasted marshmallows anyone?) which won't help me get in to the Zone!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 04/10/2010 18:01

Combine the two then, Piste dons her diplomacy hat..

2010 Weight Loss Club : The Winter Warmers ( or Wannabe Winter Waifs!)

Shall I get one more opinion and go for it?! As long as we are all together, that's the importantthing! I can do it any time this evening. Question is, will we take the naughty step to our new home?!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 04/10/2010 18:12

Is the consensus then

2010 weight loss club : The Wannabe Winter Waifs

With ( winter warmers) in brackets ?!!

bebejones · 04/10/2010 18:33

Agree with Pretty, winter warmers makes me think that we are all going to pile the insulating layers of fat back on! Speaking of which, is anyone else feeling the cold alot more?!

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/10/2010 19:10

im happy with any name

i will also drag bring the naughty step bench Grin

GettinTrimmer · 04/10/2010 19:19

I'm happy with any name too - winter warmers makes me think of mulled wine and mince pies

OP posts:
RatherBeOnThePiste · 04/10/2010 19:30

Shall I be Head Girl and do it then?!

2010 weight loss club : the wannabe winter waifs
