LOL at the blue crap!

GettinTrimmer · 30/09/2010 16:03

Being nosey, had a look at your pets thread Blondes Grin Your woofa has cast iron stomach!

My cat is often sick, she has chronic kidney disease and has special food with controlled amounts of protein - the dc like giving her titbits of sausage, etc, then she chucks it up.

Has pills every night too, very expensive at the vets she is.

Mumsnet is massive, large sections I never look at, first time I've seen anything in pets.

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 30/09/2010 16:18

Woofa has stolen eaten in the last 2 years of his young life

venison sausages meant for db - he was not a happpy man!!!!
organic pork meant for dc tea
500g cheese
babys purée tea
workman sandwich
workmans replacement roll from pub across the road
cleaners lunch (but only once) she learnt
biscuits meant for coffee morning
biscuits meant for builders - don't these men learn
King prawns shell head and tail
loaf of bread
pack of butter
eggs but not the shell

Non food items

small toys
monoply hotels
my slippers - savaged they were :(
my leather sandals (MB replcaed)
books
dc poory nappy wipes/poo etc

'shudders'

blue dishcloths - has a thing for them Hmm
feather duster
moondough
bees nest - not a good idea :(

Sure there are other things I have forgotten but yes he has a cast iron stomach!!!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 30/09/2010 17:27

he must have thought the bees' nest was a bit fizzy

RatherBeOnThePiste · 30/09/2010 17:28

You know we shall need a new thread soon, and we need a good title!

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/09/2010 17:33

He wasn't well after the bees :(

his head swelled up /eyes puffed and shut into slits :(
breathing was shallow/throat got constricted

phone vet and he advised 20ml of piraton 4times a day

few days he was better but hopefully he has learnt to avoid bees :)

new title

erm .........

GettinTrimmer · 30/09/2010 17:51

Ds read the list over my shoulder Blondes and thought it was hilarious, his little friend has a year old rescue dog (grey hound type) and is astounded that he eats poo.

You and dh have a dog too don't you?

How does woofa peel eggs? Confused

We need a thread title methinks something to do with christmas coming up....

How about the "Wonderful Winter Weight Watchers"?

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/09/2010 20:54

trimmer - glad ds impressed - its amazing what woofa eats - he doesnt belong to the blondes, just my work dog, so ive inherited him 3 days a week lol

i forgot to mention a whole tub of cream - but he actually helped as fell out of the fridge and i didnt need to mop the floor Grin

woofa&the cream

he doesnt manage to peel eggs, but again several have rolled off counter/been dropped by dc (we have hens at work) and the woofa is straight there but licks all the egg but leaves the shell Grin

mr blondes is creating a mess dinner and cooking chicken in some kind of sauce - time will tell if nice ......

RatherBeOnThePiste · 01/10/2010 07:03

Poopy pants

And I tried. now I wish I hadn't. < sigh>

Thing was we had a heavy weekend with DHs birthday and I feel like this week has been getting back on track.

But still I sigh.

GettinTrimmer · 01/10/2010 07:51

....but Piste, it's so incredibly easy to gain, as we well know. Well done on sts

I weighed in, looks like I've lost 0.5lb

new thread title: Weighing in the Winter Wonderland?...No, perhaps not, Pretty's was better.

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 01/10/2010 09:57

Yes digital

prettybird · 01/10/2010 12:22

Wahaaayyyy! :)

Was 13st 1lb first thing (which would have been a sts), but after Day 15 of the Shred cabn now weigh in legitamtely at 13 st 0lb - a loss of 1lb :):) (And yes, I did move the scales to check that it wasn't an aberrant positive measure Grin)

Given the meal that I had at the weekend and the munchies on Thursday, I am really pleased :)

GT - I have digital scales but they don't do half pounds.

We need to remember that we are adjusting to autmum/winter (says I lookig out on a miserable rainy dark day) so it is easy to get back into the habit of nice warm comfort sweets food as the nights draw in and it's cold outside. We will resist!

How about "Wonderful Winter Weight Watching Wannabe Waifs" Grin Must stop - I think I am getting a bit carried away Wink

Well done Pretty! Loving your alliteration!!

Yes my scales are electronic but this am were varying wildly from 11:4 to 11:13 so I changed the batteries! Then it seemed more reliable. I was a bit [shock ] at the 11:4 though but knew it wasn't real!

I was severely buffeted by the wind on my bike this am. It was a bit wild. Had a very early start as DD has gone to Ypres to the trenches/ cemeteries as part of their history course. Had her plus a couple of mates staying over then we had to leave at 5. tWas a bit early for me!

prettybird · 01/10/2010 15:09

Maybe the batteries in ours need to be changed too. Must be at least 8 years old - and all those multiple weighings to get the "best" Hmm weight probably won't have helped Blush

Dh is just about to go out and pick up ds on his bike. I did volunteer, but nto very enthusiastically as it is currently chucking it down Blush

Ds (turned 10 3 weeks ago) was allowed to cycle to school on his own this morning - but only with me "following" on the other two sides of the "rectangle" that is the route to school, so I could check that he traversed the last junction (the one we are worried about) safely. I then trusted him to go the last 100m safely and to lock his bike up properly himself. Independence one small step at a time Grin

GettinTrimmer · 01/10/2010 16:34

Well done prettybird and Hecate on your losses.

LIke the idea of those sugar snap peas Hecate, wish I'd eaten something like that and not the kit kat I had earlier on! Oh well ... tis weighing in day.

IKWYM Pretty about kids becoming more independent - ds is asking to go to the park on his own, I am just at the stage of letting him walk round the corner to his friend's house.

OP posts:
HecateQueenOfWitches · 01/10/2010 16:39

They're really great. On WW they're free.

Hmm although probably not in the quantities I get through over the day Grin

GettinTrimmer · 01/10/2010 16:57

I wonder how many I could eat instead of a kitkat? Blondes has a great free points soup, she did post it a while back.

It must be raining the length and breadth of Britain today Pretty, pouring down here in the south.

OP posts:
HecateQueenOfWitches · 01/10/2010 17:02

probably several lbs Grin they are really sweet, it's like crunching on sweeties Grin

WW have a zero points soup. I'm planning to try it. It's supposed to be fab.

Also pissing it down here in the Dales.
