I think I am also much more toned, even though I have gained 9lb saw some people on Sat not seen for a long time and they said I'd lost weight.

Have a good lunch Blondes.

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/09/2010 10:36

trimmer, muscle weighs more that fat, hence your gain iyswim

GettinTrimmer · 27/09/2010 12:21

thanks Blondes!! but my waist measurement has increased so I definitely have fat to move as well.

Well done on your size 12 jeans.

I didn't have a great weekend and eating carbs quite a bit - but did run for 40 mins today and I think tomorrow I have to try a big one of 5/6 miles.

The way I am feeling atm maintaining is what I'm aiming for.

OP posts:
RatherBeOnThePiste · 27/09/2010 14:24

You are doing so well GT - have you done the link yet for sponsors? Please do!

I regret not measuring now, it would be really good to compare.

Murtette - you are flying high! Congratulations again, and to Blondes for the 12s.

Bebe and Murtette - enjoy your holidays!

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/09/2010 17:08

Grin Thank you so much Slinky Blondes and Slinky Piste for sponsoring. Feeling like I am on the way now with fundraising.

Have to pound the streets again today.

For the first time in what seems like ages I actually had a good day yesterday diet wise, hoping for a loss this week.

prettybird · 28/09/2010 10:56

When I have my purse close by, I'll sponsor you Gt :)

You're right GT - we dont often get invited back for dinner Hmm - but dh and I enjoy the cooking and choosing wine anyway. The couple on Saturday have said we will be invited back (first time they had come for dinner: dh herds cats coaches micros rugby with the guy and nhis wife is a teacher and we managed to navigate education, religion and politics without falling out, even though they were wrong although we did have to agree to differ Grin)

The food was really successful: they really liked the starter, even though it is dead easy (a slice of apple about half an inch or so thick with th ecentre cored out, fried in butter till just soft, put on top of a slice of black budding (also fried in butter Blush) and then topped with half of a goats cheese (or a slice of goats cheese, depending on whether you can get the wee "drums" or by the slice from the deli) that has been grilled till it is melting and just starting to colour. Pour a few drops of balsamic vinegar on the plate around the "stack". Enjoy! Grin

The milk tart went down very well too - as did the experimental ice cream, althogh next time, I might just put in 1/2 teaspoon of almond essence rather than 1 teaspoon. It complemented the milk tart well though.

Anyway, don't seem to have done too much damage - but will wait for the official weigh-in on Friday.

Didn't manage to do the Shred over the weekend - not only was I too busy on Saturday but ds was off School on Friday and Monday (the long "September Weekend" that we get in Glasgow instead of the August Bank Holiday).

prettybird · 28/09/2010 10:58

Should have mentioned that I am back into the groove with the Shred today though (after having cycled ds to school). :)

Think that that was Day 11 - or was it 12?

TotorosOcarina · 28/09/2010 11:06

Hiya girls,

I just saw this thread, I used to be Disenchanted

I just wanted to say well done for still going and loosing so much weight!

And also that its probably best I'm taken off the list as I am 10 weeks pregnant so probably not going to loose weight anytime soon Grin

I will be back on heeinnMay thouh!!

xxx

GettinTrimmer · 28/09/2010 11:12

pretty I'm veggie, so the starter minus the black pudding for me!

I've given up hoping for return invitations back for dinner, but I enjoy having people over like you. I suppose it's time consuming and can be costly depending on what you're cooking.

For those of you who like macaroni cheese, have you ever done Delia's souffled macaroni cheese?

Well done on sticking to the shred, I have to concentrate on running atm, just off now and hoping the rain keeps off!

OP posts:
GettinTrimmer · 28/09/2010 11:14

Nice to hear from you Totoros and many congratulations!

We will keep you on the list, it was your idea after all. I've put half of what I lost back on, but this thread keeps it all in mind.

OP posts:
prettybird · 28/09/2010 11:18

Congratulations TO. :)

GT: you could try it with Vegetarian Black puddingGrin

GettinTrimmer · 28/09/2010 12:50

I've also heard of vegetarian haggis!

I remember my Scottish friend who regularly had haggis, tatties and neeps was shocked at the thought.

In Scotland swedes are called turnips aren't they?

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 28/09/2010 13:25
