i'm horrified to find I have put on 1 stone 7 lb in the last year.

horrified.

So, back to Weight Watchers I go.

I weigh in at 13 stone 8 (horror) and am taking it one day at a time with 21 pooints a day.

Mushrooms cooked in frylight are my life saver.

Hi Kid,

of course you can do it, it is rather tricky at first but after a few days you will get the hang of it. Good that you planned your meal before you went out. I missed my weigh in today as I had to take the kids for football as my DH was at work so will have to go next week. Hope this doesn't tempt me to be naughty :(

kid · 10/10/2010 10:02

Thanks mumofthreesweeties
I have started my day with 2 weetabix and tea. Will have to fill a bottle of water up to sip on.
I'm going shopping soon but don't know what I need to get. I will definitely be looking for some ww treats.

Good luck with your next WI. If you are really good all week, you can have an extra big loss for the 2 weeks.

kid · 11/10/2010 21:25

day 3 over and done with and still going quite well (I think)

I had a good selection of food today which made a lovely change to the usual 1 sandwich I normally have.
Dinner was a bit small but very tasty and within points.

vnmum · 12/10/2010 20:29

i had chocolate earlier in week so am trying to get back some points before thursdays WI but i am hungry now and want biscuits! Aargh

kid · 12/10/2010 20:56

I was given some marmite chocolate. It's so awful, enough to put me off chocolate for life!

Good luck for this weeks WI, hope those scales are kind to you. Instead of biscuits, have some carrots or water instead

DiaDuitTaibhse · 13/10/2010 19:39

Hi everyone,

Just back from WI. I gained 1lb. :( I have no idea how.

Ah well, onwards and downwards. Tomorrow starts a new week.

kid · 13/10/2010 21:17

That's not too bad, annoying for you but hopefully you will lose that 1lb plus a couple more next week.

vnmum · 14/10/2010 14:00

hi, just back from WI. Lost 2.5lb. well pleased. i'm not going to have my WI blowout tonight either because that loss has given me motivation.

I wonder where Colditz (OP) has gone? It just seems to be a few us left posting now

jilly78 · 14/10/2010 21:57

hi all can i join in please... done ww last yr nd lost 3.5 stone. but stopped going and half a st has slowly crepped back on so started back on plan last week. sat is my first wi. needing to lose about 4.5/5 stone. doing it from home this time round so need all the support i can get.

chipmonkey · 14/10/2010 22:33

I put on 1lb last week as I was away in England. It is clearly a very fattening place and I don't know how you all live there!Grin
Well, I suppose you don't all have hotel fry-ups every morning and three course lunches!
Diaduit, I love the Halloween name! Grin

kid · 14/10/2010 22:51

I missed dinner tonight and had a jam sandwich instead and a banana. Is that really bad?

kid · 16/10/2010 08:32

I did my first WI this morning and I've lost 2lb.
Shame it wasn't more but I'm pleased with the start. I haven't really gone without anything and I haven't been writing everything down.
I might even start some exercise this week!

vnmum · 16/10/2010 14:29

well done kid

chipmonkey · 17/10/2010 02:14

kid, 2lb is GREAT!Grin Tbh, I do worry about people who lose too much at once as I think it's probably an unsustainable way of eating and they are more likely to regain the weight. You have done really well!

DiaDuitTaibhse · 18/10/2010 14:17

chipmonkey - Go raibh maith agat.

I love Halloween! I hope we have trick or treaters so I don't end up being left with lots of chocolate. Not planning on buying stuff for trick or treaters until closer to the time though.

kid · 18/10/2010 23:18

I am amazed. I can pull my size 14 jeans down without undoing the button or zip!
Useless I know, but a sure sign I must be doing something right lol

arses · 19/10/2010 10:17

Help!

I am stuck!

Have been doing WW since March, but on and off for most of that. I lost a stone from the 23rd of August to the 1st of October, 2lbs a week average.

I am still bfing my 10 month old so had 27 points. When I lost the stone my points were changed to 26. Since then I have not lost one single ounce.

I walk five miles every day and have just started Zumba 2-3 times a week, but have had no change in three weigh ins! I am checking my portions religiously, to the extent I am now entering every single item manually (e.g. entering exact cals for a cheese slice from the co-op vs just choosing a generic cheese slice). I don't know what else to do but am losing motivation fast!

kid · 19/10/2010 20:13

Have you taken your measurements?
With the extra exercise, it could well be that your body is becoming more toned. Muscle weighs more than fat so although the scales might not show you are losing weight, the measurements will show you that you are.

I have also read that if you get stuck, come off the diet for a couple of days or a week and then go back to it. Your body somehoe kickstarts with the diets again. As long as you don't go too mad and put on loads and loads of weight while you have the short time off the diet

DiaDuitTaibhse · 20/10/2010 18:52

Hi guys. Back from weigh in. Down 1.5lbs [hsmile]

Graduation tomorrow so my normal eating routine will be haywire. [hsad]

Chat to you soon.

vnmum · 21/10/2010 14:22

Had WI today. Lost 1.5lbs. It's all going in the right direction.

Arses are you still classing yourself as exclusively breastfeeding? Its just that if your 10mo is taking some solids you won't need as many points. If your DC is taking a few solids but not many maybe try having a points allowance that is between part BF and full BF and see if that makes any difference. Also make sure you drink enough water as you can retain water if you start doing exercise but don't drink enough. HTH

arses · 21/10/2010 20:54

No, not exclusively bfing vnmum - you get 10pts for that, 5 for solids/formula.

I think it's weird the way it stopped as soon as the points dropped by 1. Maybe I am not using enough exercise points.. I'm not very inclined to use them at all, don't trust them.

Will try measurements too, kid.

vnmum · 22/10/2010 21:20

arses my leader in group last week actually told me to try and not use any of my exercise points. Have you tried upping your points by 1 again just to see if you start losing again.

Ishtar2410 · 23/10/2010 16:45

Just creeping in...do you mind if I join?

I'm a gold WW member, but looking to lose another half stone or so before Christmas...I lost 1.5lb this week, so hopefully I can keep the momentum going.

vnmum My leader is also sure that you shouldn't use any exercise points - I think I'd fall off the wagon quite heavily if I couldn't eat (or drink!) at least some of them! I run and I soon know about it the next day if I don't have some extra carbs.

Everyone is different, though, and it might be arses that you need that extra point? I had to play with my points as the weight came off.

vnmum · 23/10/2010 19:25

ishtar I also run (well doing couch to 5k) and i know what you mean about feeling the need for extra carbs. And welcome by the way Smile

Diaduitpuisin · 03/11/2010 18:04

Gosh, it seems like ages since someone posted here - myself included Blush

Didn't post last week cause I stayed the same. Was a bit disappointed abut that but the fact that I was 2lbs down this week made up for it. :)

How's everyone else? Getting ready for the changover next week? We don't get the new programme until January. :(
