i'm horrified to find I have put on 1 stone 7 lb in the last year.

horrified.

So, back to Weight Watchers I go.

I weigh in at 13 stone 8 (horror) and am taking it one day at a time with 21 pooints a day.

Mushrooms cooked in frylight are my life saver.

SeriousWispa, I don't know if Squid is lower than normal fish but I do love it, (salt and pepper squid, yum) but find it hard to get hold of but am really happy to hear Waitrose sell it as we have one locally.

Went to weigh in tonight, lost 7lb over 2 weeks despite the sinful weekends!

Crumpets are only one point each!

If you add up your activity points, you can have a glass of wine or two.

Hi all! Lost nothing again last week but am blaming weighing in on Friday for ipodge rather than my usual Saturday.

Following colditz advice about PHiladelphia extra light, I made a sauce tartare to have with some fish last week and it wasn't half bad!

I mixed WW mayo with Philadelphia Extra Light a bunch of capers and gherkins. Only 1/2 a point a tablespoon and dh thought it was fairly comparable to the one I usually make with full fat mayo and creme fraiche. I had no dill which would also have improved it!

Also nice mixed with tuna and put in a pitta bread!

It's my first WI tomorrow and I'm nervous. I really want a good loss to boost me, think I've been doing well following the points system.

I have resisted urge to weigh at home as my scales are iffy to say the least!

I had really cut back on teh rubbish for a week before initial WI, so I won't get that HUGE weight loss that folk normally get after week 1 of a new diet! Bugger, I should have eaten my own weight in chocolate while I had the chance...

ValiumSingleton · 07/09/2010 18:50

I haven't lost anything in the last two weeks.... (lost 6lbs the first week though) so Confused

DollyMg, hope the weigh in goes well! I'm glad I'm not doing proper meetings, the leaders would never believe I'm eating less.... maybe do measuring your waist at home, and weighing at the meetings?? One of the weeks I'd lost nothing in weight, I'd lost a cm of the waist, so that was encouraging.

I think I will lose another few lbs after next period... and until then nothing.

Pollyanna · 07/09/2010 20:30

i need more no point recipes i think. i am using all of my points up on mealtimes, and only had 3 points for tea.

Presumably the no or few point recipes are just veg soug/ratatouille/veg casserole type dishes? I need to get hold of the book I think - the website doesn't seem to have so much information.

I might try the kickstart next week, with my pret cappuccino being my dairy (I think it is 2.5 points) and eating lots of veg otherwise.

Dolly hope the weigh in goes well. I am waiting until Friday morning ipodge weigh in too. i am quite naughty and weigh myself every day - I have only just got back to Friday's weight after a curry on friday night. Just goes to show that you only need one blow out and it all goes to pot.

Parsnips, peas and corn need to be pointed too.

MercyMe · 08/09/2010 07:57

Hi
Can I join too? I have put on 1 1/2 stone in the last year. I am doing ww online, I see that some other posters are also doing it this way- how are you finding it? My weigh in is not until Sunday, so I will need motivation! Thanks x

I didn't realise peas needed to be counted!! I was eating loads of them the first week.

SeriousWispaHabit · 08/09/2010 18:23

Not quite 0 points, but a bag of stirfried veg with a few noodles can make a massive bowlful. I use frylight, garlic, ginger, chilli and soy sauce.

Roasted butternut squash wedges are 0 points too - I roast with smoked paprika and frylight and use instead of potato.

Diaduitpuisin · 08/09/2010 19:38

I don't eat them either. I just had it drummed into me by my scary lovely leader.

Weigh in today - I lost 2lbs Grin

Back on the wagon!

chipmonkey · 09/09/2010 22:16

Yay, well done Diaduit!

I have had a really good week pointswise but feel kind of bloated at the moment so hope that doesn't mean I'll have another week of losing nothing.

chipmonkey · 10/09/2010 23:47

Well, as it happens, I lost 4lb this week and have reaches my first mini-target of losing half a stone.

Now, I only need to do that 5 more times!

DollyMG · 11/09/2010 07:14

First WI went well, 6lbs off :)

I've been having 0 point veg soup for lunch (BIG bowlful) thus saving points for alcohol at night Grin

chipmonkey · 11/09/2010 19:49

Wow, Dolly 6lb!! Well done!Grin

Well done everyone on weight loss!
I have lost 1 3/4 lb this week so I am pleased, especially as I have not been really good all week. As I have nearly lost 1 stone (2lbs to go) my jeans are now too big and I am having to wear a belt. When I get paid I will really love buying a new pair Smile.
SGM sorry to hear you have been ill again. I hope you feel better soon.

cerealqueen · 19/09/2010 10:37

SGM, that sounds like a rough illness being in bed for week. You have probably lost weight from energy being used up to fight the infection, not the nicest way. Hope you are better now.

Everybody seems to be doing well!

I lost a big fat zero last week, probably the chinese takeaway (incl. prawn sesame toasts and bbq ribs, what was I thinking?? ) Have been good this week and discovered Ww wine, (a point for a glass) its really nice!!

Hoping for a 1/2 lb weight loss this week. Veg soup is great and a well toasted crumpet dipped in is great. Also some lovely recipes from WW cook book I got from the library.

Nothing like some new jeans to inspire!!

chipmonkey · 19/09/2010 12:26

lost 3lb this week so very happy with that!
Have now lost 12lb in total. But now have to drop my points to 20 instead of 22.

I just discovered that if you mix WW instant chocolate drink with black coffee instead of water, it makes a nice Mocha at only one point!Grin

Diaduitpuisin · 23/09/2010 12:51

Stayed the same this weigh in. Happy about as I'd been on holidays.

Now really need to get off my arse (both literally and metaphorically) and lose weight.

vnmum · 23/09/2010 22:20

hi can i join?

I have decided to start WW as of today. I was going to SW but kept maintaining or losing and gaining the same few pounds as i find it too easy to over eat and cheat on SW.

I have done WW before and as long as i stick to the points it worked really well for me so I am back on it.

I am just using my old books at home as i can't afford to be paying for meetings.

Also for anyone who has an Android mobile phone, there is a free WW points calculator app. I have that on my phone so if i'm shopping i can work out the points of something and no one will know coz it just looks like you're on your phone.

Weighed myself today so first WI will be next thurs. I am on 21 ints but doing fast start this week.

chipmonkey · 28/09/2010 20:36

HAve been away to Riga for the weekend and didn't count a point while there. Back on the straight and narrow now but don't expect I'll have lost anything.
