Aitch, that's weird, DD's came home witha giant strawberry lace thing each and I polished one off as well....must be a period thing
Buda, glad your haircut went well, nice that someone has good hair on the thread

CYb, thanks for sharing, the thought of a bovril roll has now put me off bread for at least another 24 hours...

Had chinese last night, chicken wings (peeled off skin) chop suey and seaweed, and some prawn crackers, but not that many. so lots of fat but no rice, no sesame prawn toasts and no fortune cookie, DH was very impressed.
Called my mum as well and she said that if I hit my target weight then she will give me money for a new wardrobe, and she will give me some money each month as long as I keep losing to buy a cheapo new outfit/jeans to tide me over until I shrink out of it, so nice incentive there!

jenduff · 25/04/2010 09:06

wow JB what a lovely supportive Mum you have

dinkystinky · 25/04/2010 09:14

Ah JB - that's so lovely, and generous, of your mum. Gives you a great incentive to keep in the zone

DS1 gave me a hug this morning and told me I was lovely and warm and cosy - like a bed Then he corrected himself - like my enormous double bed Think may need to continue losing weight if a 4 year old is comparing me to a kingsize bed...

MamaG · 25/04/2010 09:15

wow your mum sounds fab jack!

buda - post a pci of new hair

bobbiewickham · 25/04/2010 09:21

Haven't posted for a while as I have rebiffed after illness.

Pah.

I think something weird and hormonal is going on, though. It feels like water/mamag retention.

The diesel jeans still fit, and I don't look any fatter...but had a bad weekend.

Still, new start and all.

JB, your mum sounds fantastic. Lucky you.

dinkystinky · 25/04/2010 09:24

Oh well Bobbie - at least you havent been compared to a double bed!

ZoneArmatrading · 25/04/2010 09:32

Happy for your nice hair Buda. Sounds ace.

Finished antibiotics so 2 glasses of wine yesterday. Awake in night to something I can only describe as the sound of my body processing the alcohol. Heart pounding etc. Yuk.

Yesterday poached egg rye toast bit of bertolli olive spread.

Chicken leg. Bite of DD's subway choc chip cookie. so long since I've eaten something like that was vile.

rocket, walnut, asparagus goats cheese salad and bit of pizza crust 2 glasses of wine out in portobello road.

Would normally have tucked at least bread/butter for chicken to make sandwich and an ice cream/dessert into that.

What's with the red laces? Want some now.

BudaisintheZONE · 25/04/2010 09:32

Agree with jenduff Jack - your mum sounds fab.

Su - glad DH is home. Hope he is not making you run around after him too much!

dinkystinky - happy birthday to your DS!

Aitch - yes - biffing out a bit on period is excused. A little. Not too much!

As i mentioned last night eating was bad yesterday although the quantities were much smaller than I would have managed before. B'fast was brwon soda bread. Lunch was late and I let mysefl get too hungry so biffed out on white bread egg mayo sandwich and some potato salad. Followed by a slice of malt loaf with butter and a cookie. Dinner was ok - roast chicken with wholemeal pasta and a tomato sauce. But was hungry after and craved bread so had one slice with butter. Then had a glass of wine and a packet of crisps. The crisps were a thought about choice iykwim though. First packet since we got here. I would normally have 2 or 3 glasses of wine but make a choice to have one glass and the crisps. So although the food wasn't great yesterday I still felt relatively in control.

Need to be really good today and tomorrow though as can finally weigh myself on Tuesday morning. Finally going home tomorrow.

EricPicklesFatNeck · 25/04/2010 09:39

spent yesterday on beach, luckily i dislike eating sand so refused all the marinaded in sand bbq sausages.

glad su's dh is home and on the mend.

well done all folk with nice hair.

cyb · 25/04/2010 09:45

Buds you did have a carby day didnt you-not a criticism at all but I have also noticed if I allow myself one bit of that I really really seem to want more.

I have 6 days till THE DRESS so musnt' let things slide.

Def making su soup today and tackling the mammoth ironing pile. I may need crampons to scale it

SuSylvester · 25/04/2010 09:54

am back in zone today after yesterdays french stick adn butter lunch

arent the marathon runners bodies odd

cyb · 25/04/2010 10:02

Apparetnly Princess Beatrice is the only person running according to our local news

MamaG · 25/04/2010 10:04

heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp

pointydog · 25/04/2010 10:07

I have been allowing myself some bread. Boiled egg with toast and butter for breakfast with LOADS of salt. mmm.

lo @ being compared to enormous double bed. That just means you are brick shape rather than pear. You no worry, dink.

su dh in op drama? Missed that. Speedy recovery.

And I bet those laces are great diet food. Prob no more than 6 cals a lace.

pointydog · 25/04/2010 10:08

cannot help you with curtains, g. No idea what sort of screws those are. You tried pliers to turn?

MamaG · 25/04/2010 10:09

No

worried that if i use pliers i'll knacker teh whole thing

DH will know but he's out fishing (ffs)

BudaisintheZONE · 25/04/2010 10:09

Cyp - yes i did have a carb fest! Need to rein it back in. Having a little bit just leads to more cravings.

BudaisintheZONE · 25/04/2010 10:25

No idea why I change your name to CyP!!!

MamaG · 25/04/2010 10:44

I quite like cyp

JackBauer · 25/04/2010 11:23

at Eric's eating on beach diet tip...not a bad idea that!

dinky, um, less said about that the better I think

Buda, I have noticed same as cyb, one bit of carb is a slippery slope then, it's like your brain readjusts. Bet you're chuffed to be going hoem though!

My mum is lovely, I have to stop her buying me stuff out of her inheritance to overcompensate for my horrible father but soemtimes you have to let her Seriously though, she is so chuffed that I have found the zone as all of my sisters fight with our weights through comfort eating but we are all slowly getting there.

Fruit and salad for lunch I think and then pot roast chicken for tea. Doing pot roast so I can have chicken soup tomorrow, piggy, but Mmmmmm!

SuSylvester · 25/04/2010 12:36

JackBauer · 25/04/2010 13:17

I have cat envy. We can't get a dog as no garden so I want a cat DH hates cats though.
I did not know this when I married him.

Was all ready to go puddle jumping and then do some sewing but have bad period pain and, although I don't want to stuff with chocolate, I also don't want to get off my comfy sofa. DH is at work until 9 so I might have to neglect DD's in front of cbeebies for a bit.
Fruit salad, melon, grapes, chopped apple and yoghurt, for lunch. Nice pot roast chicken and veg for tea in my casserole dish that was one of last few things MIL bought me before her stroke. Comfort food.

ZoneArmatrading · 25/04/2010 13:35

branflakes banana

soup two oatcakes 2 corn thins a babybel.

Trying not to de-zone today. Squeezing the Dawn action in favour of more Kate.

JackBauer · 25/04/2010 13:48

Right. WTF are corn thins?
I have looked in tesco and sainsbo'c and they don't appear to exist but then I don't know if I am looking in the right place.

Don't tell me to go to waitrose. I don't have one

SuSylvester · 25/04/2010 13:58
