JackBauer · 24/04/2010 16:36

Ugh.
Am back.
Have never seen so many E numbers in one place.

Every time the kids looked like flagging the DJ chucked a load of pixie sticks or fruit chews onto the floor. and the party bags were just stuffed with marshmallows, laces, flying saucers, foam sweets and topped by a whistle.
DD's are both in major sugar comedown lying on the floor sucking their thumbs and staring glazed over at Come dine with me, too tired to compain about watching it.
Whistles smashed. I had NO party food, and only a few marshmallows
Mahoosive prawn stir fry for luncha nd will have Chinese delivery later, christ knows what I cna order.

coco, those earrings are unbelievable, DD1 loves the shoes though.

JackBauer · 24/04/2010 17:34

coco, They can, but I am sure some bright spark would permanen;ty link a pic on every post they right, and then it's only a very small step to tickers....

dinkystinky · 24/04/2010 18:28

Evening all. Jack, well done on avoiding the party food - marshmallows arent too bad in the grand scheme of things so you did brilliantly.

Coco - those shoes are verrrrrrr pink. Can see why all DDs go for them. The earrings are hilarious.

Cyb - fwiw I'd go understated on the earrings - nice coloured studs (so doesnt detract too much from your stylish bob and fab dress) or try and persuade DH to get you some diamond-dahling earrings for your big birthday.

cyb · 24/04/2010 18:35

thanks dinky I was thinking maybe just hoops

dinkystinky · 24/04/2010 19:21

little hoops is good. Big kat slater type hoops maybe not so great...

pointydog · 24/04/2010 20:22

Bought new bbq so had to use it and a bit of it melted off and another bit buckled. Typical.

Had one top notch burger and sausage and one roll. Two bits of tablet. Wine. Button still on trousers.

dinkystinky · 24/04/2010 20:41

Arse about your new bbq being naff pointy - glad you managed to get some good grub out of it before it self imploded though...

Saw Jarvis Cocker wandering around town today - he was my hero in my indie worshipping days. He looks like my old geography teacher nowadays - complete with dodgy protobeard and elbow pads... Age is not a kind thing.

ReshapeWhileDamp · 24/04/2010 21:02

Cyb, you SO should wear the goldfish earrings. Very postmod, non?

Tutorial today on hottest day of year so far, stuck inside tutor's glacial house, shivering.

Ate moderately but oh my god. Cheese. bread. How I have missed you both.

ReshapeWhileDamp · 24/04/2010 21:04

Dinky - didn't see the bit about Jarvis. I'd have melted into a puddle - except I saw him on telly t'other day and yes, geography teacher is precisely what I thought! That mangy beard does nothing for him.

cyb · 24/04/2010 21:05

I was absolutely CRAVING bread today, for the first time since I started this malarkey.

Had a soft roll with Bovril on it.

God it was good.

dinkystinky · 24/04/2010 21:12

Am really hoping Su and Cyb arent geography teachers now...

I know Reshape. Back when I was at uni I actually met Jarvis in a club and did actually melt into a puddle (was when Pulp was at its height). My friend had to scrape me up off the floor while being mortified at my uncoolness (she was going out with a bouncer at the time and met all sorts - used to take me along before my Jarvis meltdown but downright refused to take me along to meet popstrels after that ).

Cyb - just so long as it was only the one roll with bovril you may well avoid the wrath of su...

My eldest turns 4 tomorrow - am sat here drinking nice wine (only 7% so less cals of course) and eating nibbly bits in celebration of the fact that this time 4 years ago I was experiencing the induction from hell...

AitchTwoZone · 24/04/2010 21:19

hello hello birthday party today and then more playing at someone's house and biffed out rather on sushi and then a bit of cake and then (for reasons unknown to me) two big strawberry lace things that i didn't enjoy but pushed on with until both gone.

i am surely allowed to go a bit mad when on my period? do you think?

dinkystinky · 24/04/2010 21:23

Aitch - Sushi is good to biff out on (have you not seen how slender the average japanese person is? And the sizes of clothes at Muji??? ) - cake and weird wire e-number thingies less so. Will let Su and others yell at you for that. Yes, you are allowed to go mad when on your period - I nowadays ban myself from buying any clothes when on my period as the choices I have previously made when aunt flo was visiting were really rather unwise.... like tie dyed yellow dungarees

AitchTwoZone · 24/04/2010 21:28

ah well i am now going to eat some sausages. you told me to. [benediction]

dinkystinky · 24/04/2010 21:30

at least they are low carb Aitch

BudaisintheZONE · 24/04/2010 22:11

Not a great day on the eating front but better than it would have been a few weeks ago.

Good day on the haircut front though! Very nice. Had highlights as well and have a lovely choppy messy Meg Ryanish bob. Love it. Three times what I pay in Budapest though!!!

Am now very tired so off to bed. Will catch up more tomorrow.
