hello fellow losers

i have been a bit off the wall last few days, it is coming up to the first anniversary of my grandmother's death and i find myself wanting to comfort eat

i have tried to stay in the zone though, and not go carbocrazy. it is like PMTing big time, i just want salt, fat and carbs.

i never used to be like this, only started to comfort eat when ds was born early + it was a stressy time, hence lack of loss of baby weight

anyway enough of the sob story, i have good news...

i broke through my 3km barrier for the first time running today, and what's more, i felt light in my shoes - it was almost easy and fun

congratulations reshape!

Jackbauer · 21/04/2010 18:20

oh well done with the run, chibi. Tomorrow is my childfree morning so will walk dd2 to nursery + run home the long way, is about 3k but i have to walk a bit. Then 8minute abs + arms in front of recorded glee, nice batn + then it's all over. Usual routine was coffee + bics alone with paper so need to avoid that.

Re the thread hiding, i used to hide this thread as i wasn't 'in the right place (woo)' but you guys go through threads so fast a few days later the new one appears again. Can't figure out why diet is working now, made curry for tea, had stirfry and teeny home made naan. Not tempted by rice or icecream that i gave girls.

One thing, am eating mahoosive amounts of leftover veg as stirfry, today was 1 onion, 1/4 red cabbage, 1/2 red pepper + 1/2 courgette. Tasted lush but was loads. Fruit + veg don't count, right?

Jackbauer · 21/04/2010 18:27

ugh, self centred waffling, forgot

Chibi, i remember first time i got home from a run feeling like i wasn't going to die and that i could have gone on, it's fab feelig, nice one. Sorry about anniversary though, hard times to diet but you can do it!

Click, great re dinner lady!

Master+margaritas, one coke in 3 weeks is awesome, am down to one glass coke zero a day, is so hard!

Geordie, less cake talk you tease. Bet it tastes like shit anyway, you wouldn't want any.

Off to see what cyb has stirred up.

YoginiBikini · 21/04/2010 18:51

Well done Porridge! You must have a a teeny tiny butt now?Mrs P was was a right nag wasn't she?

Geordie well done!

Take things easy Chibi. I'm also in an 'anniversary week'. It's tough, but chin up (mouth firmly closed) Wow to the running

Click are you nearly there then?

dinkystinky · 21/04/2010 19:02

Well Geordie - we did a Monster cake (like Charlies cake from Charlie and Lola - at his request I hasten to add). First time did chocolate butter icing and decorated monster stylee but he complained it wasnt green so second time round was just green butter icing and monster stylee decoration and he was delighted...

Chibi - take it easy and be kind to yourself. Channel the energy you would have expended in comfort eating into nice long walks in the sun and remembering good times with your grandma. Well done on breaking the 3k barrier.

Jack - fruit counts minimally and veg is pretty much eat as much as you can buffet like for dieters! So well done you.

Click - lol at dinner lady and her processed chicken feeling the click love! I got told by one of my bosses today that I've lost "a shitload of weight" - I chose to take that as a compliment.

cyb · 21/04/2010 19:04

I've just cut the back of my hair...why why why

YoginiBikini · 21/04/2010 19:12

The back cyb? Do you look like your mums been having a go?

I lingered around the media thread title wanting gok wan style nekid ladies to talk about their post babies body. Why? Am I tempted?

jenduff · 21/04/2010 19:20

One way to loose a bit of weight cyb

Jackbauer · 21/04/2010 19:21

Cyb, what have you done?
I have moved on from MN hair cut now and do an 'emo' style choppy layers from t'internet. very shameful but at least no-one knows I have emo hair as tutorialled by a 16 yr old american teen...

YoginiBikini · 21/04/2010 19:24

JB you are the hair cutting queen

I prefer someone who knows what they're doing

ClickNegg · 21/04/2010 19:32

dinky
the men will be talking abOUT your fanciability at work now

pointydog · 21/04/2010 19:41

I feel a plateau coming on.

Maybe because I scoffed some chips for tea.

But without the macaroni so not so bad.

cyb · 21/04/2010 19:42

yogi I dallied on that thread too....

My hair was looking too willo'the wisp at the back so I thought I would blunt it up a bit.

It is now a mish mash of wispy layers with a inch shorter chunk in the middle

MamaG · 21/04/2010 19:42

EricPicklesFatNeck · 21/04/2010 19:52

pointydog · 21/04/2010 19:56

I was thinking of my summer hol in france today and very quickly my mind zoomed in on eating french bread and cheese. Couldn't get that thought out my head

EricPicklesFatNeck · 21/04/2010 19:58

pointy for that reason alone i am holidaying in germany! black bread is nice but not quite on the same level as lovely crusty light as air baguette
