Flippo people are milestoning all over the place - well done folks. Meanwhile I am rather enjoying my plateau

ZoneArmatrading · 20/04/2010 14:27

2lbs to go to a stone. 3lbs on top to get to goal.

dinkystinky · 20/04/2010 14:36

ZoneA - I am (and have been for ooh months now) around 3 lbs off a stone and 7lbs off goal... am stuck on the plateau ledge with Ladyblahblah... Really need to start focusing and shifting those pounds now....

JackBauer · 20/04/2010 15:58

I have aaages to reach my first stone so no worries there. I did that DUkan thingy and it reckoned I could reach my goal by October. This Year.
I am huge biffer and want to lost 4 stone. Damn it's tempting.
I am an evening smoker, and very occasionally in the day if I am out without DD2. My first evening fag after bedtime is what I hold out for, more for the peace and sit down than for the nicotine though.

Not great today, DH not well with this 24 hour thing and wanted fry up so did bacon, scrambled eggs, beans and toast, I had beans, poached egg and couldn't stop myself eating a slice of nice hot buttery toast.
I was going to have a jacket pot with my tuna steak for tea but am going to have stir fry instead.

Am slightly concerned that I have eaten an entire punnet of grapes in last 24 hours as well

I also did a very sad thing and put some grapes in teh freezer and ate them like sweeties last night with some wine, was veyr nice actually!

JackBauer · 20/04/2010 16:04

Bugger, well done everyone!

dinkystinky · 20/04/2010 16:07

Ah, Jack but that's how they sucker you into these diets by promising it will happen gloriously quickly. Stir fry for tea sounds like a good way of pulling the day back into order. Hope DH gets better soon.

Grapes are surprisingly high in WW points - whole punnet often works out as 4 flipping points. Something to ponder on during one of your many inevitable MamaG trips... am shocked as love grapes (though cant do frozen grapes - reminds me too much of labour with DS1: was recommended them as a good thing to have in early labour by someone and discovered I hated it during the throws of contractions - not great )

JackBauer · 20/04/2010 16:14

Noooo! I thought I was being so good!
I have put them on the shelf where I normally keep my biscuits so instead of reaching in for a biscuit I get a handful of grapes, genius...or possibly not then.

Am not falling for Dukan, I don't want to follow another diet plan with suggested meals I don't want to cook and DH and DD's won't eat. And don't want to be recording every flipping morsel on some random website either. I am just going to work it out for myself. Much easier.

Curry tomorrow so will have to wait until thursday for my jacket potato

dinkystinky · 20/04/2010 16:33

Jack - didnt want to discourage you - you are being good (the biscuits would be a fuck of alot more points) but also didnt want you thinking whole pack of grapes is brill diet food (in moderation though they're brilliant, only 1 WW point for a large handful). Though (at the risk of the wrath of Aitch) the resultant MamaG's will probably have you announcing a rather spectacular loss in the next few days so you will be rewarded (in the short term) by the diet powers that be

jenduff · 20/04/2010 16:42

Just had the coming home from school urge to raid the kitchen cupboards. Wandered aimlessly from cupboard to cupboard and realised that there was nothing there that I should eat so I came to read this for motivation [weak willed]

dinkystinky · 20/04/2010 16:46

Jenduff - at least all that wandering burnt off some calories...

Go drink some water and think slim...

pointydog · 20/04/2010 18:42

I am v pleased as today the scales showed that I have lost 4lb since starting. My weight has caught up with my body.

one weetabix with milk
banana
small portion noodles and chicken stir fry
banana
heinz tomato soup
briny tuna with malt vinegar and chopped pickled beetroot

Vinegar works miracles for me.

BariatricObama · 20/04/2010 19:00

aw bari. ANother time.

JackBauer · 20/04/2010 19:19

Dinky, it's all good, I need someone to tgell me that else how would I know?
Have got the shitty scales out and a punnet was about 300 calories, so am still not that pissed off as that's what, couple of slices of toast with butter? That's what I've knocked off my breakfast and it's not a carb ...and .......

Well done Jen, I know that feeling well, you find yourself wondering if rice and some baked beans can make a tasty snack.

pointydog · 20/04/2010 19:21

It is amazing what constitutes 300 cals. I had an m&s salad at the weekend which was just lettuce leaves, tomatoes, beetroot and a small sachet of creme fraiche/mayo/lemon dressing. 300 cals.

ClickNegg · 20/04/2010 19:23

iw as heading in that direction i think

that and clavicles

ClickNegg · 20/04/2010 19:25

oh am 10 4 on gym scales ( these are the MASTERs of scales - big feckers like at yr dr)

pointydog · 20/04/2010 19:34

that was one of the motivating factors for me. I could feel a hot moist line around my neck where my double chin was making a little crease. And I felt my arms couldn't properly rest at my side due to large arms and tits. The little things I hadn't noticed ever before.

BariatricObama · 20/04/2010 19:35

snort @ suntan lines. god i can't give up can i. i will be reborn once my period arrives. i am despondent cos teh friday weigh in will be bad!

BO just have a bit of shore leave and jump back on in next few days.

Shoved some red lentils in a squash soup. 357cals for 100g

Reckon it was about 200g so 700cals but split over 6 portions. Just means I won't eat any rye crispbread or corn things with it. Was super lovely and hearty. Onion, curry powder, veg stock, lentils, then pre roast squash in at end. Earthy. Hearty.
Veggie dd2 loved it. Even sausage and chips dd1 managed a bowl.

duckyfuzz · 20/04/2010 19:36

well doneon gym scales click

I don't count fruit either, it has to be better than crisps or biscuits

obama I was on PMT rampage at the weekend but have calmed down now, don't throw it all away just for a few hormonal days

well done pointy and jack and all you other losers

I am back in hte zone now, aiming for a last half a stone between now and half term, then maintain after that, is that realistic?

BariatricObama · 20/04/2010 19:37

shore leave - i like that. i am in a 50's musical dressed as a sailor dancing with cakes
