laughalot well done on your 0.5lb.

bebe well done on sts

blondes Best wishes to your mum and dh, also look after yourself.

I've decided to have a change and do ww, 20 points per day and 13 exercise points per week. It's from memory and whatever I can find out - if you don't mind Blondes, can you tell me how many points are in porridge oats and tuna? And am I right with pasta - 2 points for 2oz and 3 points for 3oz? Thanks!

PBM sorry to hear about your disappointment with that person, horrible being let down

My exam is tomorrow night, so I am banned for the rest of the day!

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/04/2010 12:26

welcome to ww trimmerporridge oats are 30g 1.5p

i like oat so simple golden syrup 2 p plus .5 for skim milk so 2.5p breakie

tuna is 2p per tin (large) if in brine or water, more if oil

pasta - im a gram girl so 10g= 1/2p i normally have 60g =3p

and 60g of pasta isnt a huge deal, hence that ww is about calories/sat fat and portion size

weigh out what you think is a normal size of pasta then weigh it, bet you poured out more

anything else you want to know just let me know

PBM sorry someone did a nasty trick - what did they do?

grrrrrrrrrrrr, do you want me to have their fingers broken, mr blondes knows people ........

i was good over the weekend and been good today, made a yummy chicken pesto bake for lunch for kids as have a baker day every other school is back today except ours!!

pasta 3, chicken 2.5, pesto 1.5 and sweetcorn .5= 7.5p and a sf jello for lunch

i really need to get my blonde butt back to being good and hopefully will have a loss this week

Poohbearsmom · 19/04/2010 14:39

Lunch sounds yum Blondes lol at breakin fingers we dont even know who did it... we live in a big private apt complex with about 100 apt's, its really lovely fountain out front really clean very private only ever met a handful of neighbours over the yrs, n the lift or carpark said hello like but dont know ANYONE! so have never had a problem or sumit & we r not bad neighbours we have never had a party never done anything to bother any1 ever (altho i do have two nois y little boys) but i jus cant understand why anyone wud want to do sumit nasty to us sorry gettin to the point, we went out ystda y morn didnt make a racket or out came home l.nite to a box wit a big towel thrown over it in front of of our apt door & the stentch of vomit was unbelievable! dh scaredly cautiously lifted the towel & there were 3 plastic containers of rotten milk 2 half full da other full wit the tops off n a tin box the smell was toxic really really TOXIC it filled the hall and my home! iv sprayed so much air freshners again & again but the smell is still n my hall i cant understand why some1 would do this to us... ds1 is really upset & keeps askin why wud any1 put stinky milk in our house! he's scaredy at the best of times but i had made huge progress him lately & he'd been chattin & drawin pic's for the nurses & had been so much more relaxed when any1 spoke to him out, but all morn he's bn too nervous (his word not mine) to even play in his own sitting rm without me with him! He's bn my shaddow all morn & its really hard feel v. at some1 doing this to my family i know no1 was hurt or out but am still upset

bebejones · 19/04/2010 14:53

PBM - that is awful!! Who would do something like that?! Morons!! Am & for you!!

Blondes - cheat carbonara, cook spaghetti, drain well & while hot stir in 2 spoonfuls of low fat creme fraiche & some cooked smoked bacon (turkey rasher better but you only need about 1-1.5 rashers with fat cut off) lots of black pepper & a little salt if you need it (but with smoked bacon it's usually salty enough). It's so quick & tastes yummy!

Pesto chicken pasta sounds yummy. Will need to get some pesto! yum yum!!

laughalot - well done on loss!

Been shopping with DD all morning, spent too much money especially after DH said he spent £100 in Chiquitos the other night! His fault for buying all the cocktails for everyone...at £5 each!!! But walked around for ages so will be logging up that as exercise! Dropped into DH's office on way home & friend that works there said I looked really skinny!! Bless her! But made me feel great!

Will weigh in and get back on track when I can get back home.

Well done to everyone who is losing and managing to stick to it.

Just read your post PBM, its unbelievable what some people will do. So for you and your DS.

Poohbearsmom · 19/04/2010 17:03

Think DH, think Lassie Come Home

DH is making his way back to us, slowly but surely. He left Sydney for LA, and is now on his way to New York.. His thinking was that there are only 8 flights a day in total from Sydney to London, but there are about 100 a day from New York to the south east. I have visions of that film where the animals have to trek across America - does anyone else remember, there was a cat and a dog, and they ended up with bleeding paws? That will be DH, I shall put a candle in the window. He has to get back to us by Friday night because we have special family celebrations for DD's birthday!! If anyone can do it, it is seasoned traveller DH! ( Plus his BA gold card, and company credit card!) He does need to be in London on Thursday and Friday day, so its working out to our advantage too! I shall let you all know his progress Sadly he is away next week too, we just need him here this weekend!

PBM - this is how I feel towards the idiots who messed you around. Stupid bloody idiots, I am sorry, cos you did not need that.

GT - Bonsoir! How was the exam?

Blondes - Hope things are improving all round for you.

Laughalot - Congrats and yes, things do improve, DD was at her most trying when she was 4, she has sort of grown into herself really

Tubby - What a pain for you

Bebe - I have bought everything for your veggie chilli and will make it when DH crawls over the threshold with his bleeding paws, he will really like it I know, so will DC

Au revoir!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/04/2010 20:22

Just saw my mummy and she seems to be much better

oxygen flowing round her body which is good as yesterday was 16% so very low

her heart rate wasn't coming down with tablets so changed her to liquid medication and rate is just under 100 so that's fab

today she saw 4 heart doctors and seems that her top muscle of her heart isn't working and just flutters so doesn't pump enough blood round her body and hence why lungs filled with fluid as blood couldn't push anything through her kidneys

she will be on waraphin like I was and will need a check up in months time and if still high then may need to be shocked

Thank god she will be ok.

Thank you for all your get well wishes xxxx

laughalot · 19/04/2010 20:53

Blondes my dad ended up having he heart shock thing, I was so worried but apparently is a really routine thing he is fine now its been about a year now. He could also come off the wharfrine [sp].

JODIEwantsanewname · 19/04/2010 21:06

piste good luck to your DH, he's definatly having an adventure!!! He won't know if he's coming or going when he gets back the amount of different time zones he'll have been in!

Blondes you and your sausages! Glad your mum is on the mend, that's great news.

PMB for you, who on earth would think of such a thing maybe it wasn't meant for you and someone got the address wrong? Still doesn't condone it, but still

Bebe you are bound to look loads different 2 stone is a massive difference!

Trimmer Good luck

laughalot well done on loss and thanks for asking after me!

Detox going well, I've had abit of an off day today, I had two a Jammie Dodger but I'm still within my 1200 cals. I had a yummy smoked salmon salad for dinner. I'm drinking alot of water though, so it should all come off. The dress is calling

Poohbearsmom · 20/04/2010 00:14

Piste that is some journey! He deserves brownie points for that, i hope he gets back in time for yer weekend celebrations, it must be hard having him travel so much altho sometimes i think i might like if Mine had to do a bit of traveling... thank u for the most frightening pic iv ever seen n my life wud pass it on if we had the slightest clue who had done it or why! tis still stink n da hall i burned insence which was lovely for all of half an hr...

Blondes im so glad your mum is a wee bit better it sounds like a good hospital. hope your ok too?

Laughalot sounds like ye went thru alot with your dad last yr, fantastic he's doing so well

Trimmer hows your dad doing, iv been meaning to ask for ages

Jodie well done for stickin with it, tis v.hard being so restricted, have the headaches eased??

Bebe how's dh doing with the sw? Is dd feelin better after the pox & how u feeling this weather? I hope you got good results from the recent hosp tests you had, have you started the new medication? i hope it goes well for you

Wheres MummyMels these days???

bebejones · 20/04/2010 08:23

PBM - DH hasn't started his SW yet. Bit cross with him TBH. He always makes these statements about doing things, usually about losing weight, and then never sees it through. He always has an excuse. I've just given up with him now, the more I nag him the less inclined his to do it! DD is pretty much better apart from a few pox marks! My medication was delivered yesterday, but I can't start it til next week as I have to do the first injection with my nurse & she didn't have any appointments til next wednesday! Pretty cross about that too!!

Yes where is MummyMels?!?!

Blondes - pleased your mum is showing signs of improvement. Hope they make her properly better soon!

Jodie - you will be in that dress in no time!!

Need to find my cheque book as have to pay for DD's music class today & I can't find it anywhere Just hoping I've not left it somewhere, I hardly use it so no idea when I last had it!! Must get off butt & do some housework too!

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 20/04/2010 09:29

BEBE i shall try your version but the whole point of carbonara is CHEESE and shame on dh not starting sw yet - hasnt the HUGE amount of weight you have lost in a few months spurred him on?

PISTE come on mr piste!!! you can make it!!! he can be like john candy/steve martin in planes/trains and automobiles

TRIMMER good luck with exam today -

LAUGHALOT thnaks, thats good to know - have visons of a fork and a toaster lol

JODIE well done on detox, you WILL fit into that dress!!

PBM* how are you feeling today, how is house and new neighbours - good point about that box not meant for you!!

FRUITGUMS how are you?

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/04/2010 09:30

fab news about my mum, im going up hospital again after work, and dh said he would cook and have it ready on a plate for me - bless him

Poohbearsmom · 20/04/2010 10:11

Housework... I remember that... Its awful you have to wait another week cause they didnt have appointments! Ya couldnt just go to one of the doctors and do it in front of him/her? I had to do that twice when i was getting my swabs cause if ur not fussy which doc ya see they always hav one available but the nurse can be well booked in advance cause they only have one anyways i hope it goes well for you. do you know yet if it'l b for the 6 months or 9? i hope dh makes the decision soon... met a woman the other day n the hosp (they have a weight managment clinic) she'd got a gastric band (bit scared of them myself) but she got it 18months & has so far lost 12st! but if someone is able to do it naturally its much better isnt it... my eldest brother is morbidly obese his health is suffering badly but he just cant break the cycle my lil sis who lives with him is studying nutrition & is uber healthy she talks to him till she's blue n the face she cooks lovely meals which he'l gladly scoff down but will 'wipe up' with half a loaf & throw on a pizza an hour later... my mum forces him to go to the gym (she picks him up & goes n with him like a police officer) but only he can make the decision & id love him to but dont think he ever will sadly
ok back from my tangent... whats on everyones menu's today? iv had seedy toast & tomato for breaky, havin salad & tuna wrap for lunch & rice with stir fry veg & seafood for dinner, gona drink a bucket of water & try to stick with fruit for snack

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/04/2010 10:17

your menu sounds yummy pbm

i had shredded wheat and skim, lunch wil be a ham&spinach roll, sf jelly, 100g grapes and square crisps,sm banana so 7p

and tea whatever dh cooks, hopefully not sauasages lol

GettinTrimmer · 20/04/2010 10:45

Hello Everyone

This is my only visit for today as I really have to revise some vocab for mon examen ce soir. Speaking is my weakest area as I don't practise very much, but thanks all for good luck wishes.

PBM That is appalling, but possible that box wasn't meant for you.

Thanks for asking about my dad - he was in the same boat as Jodie and broke his ankle in the ice back in Jan. Now out of plaster etc, has to sit with his foot up. Won't be properly better till November, they say, his time of life and also diabetes probably affecting his recovery.

When do you get to your new place?

blondes glad you've got some good news about your mum. Impressed at your dh having your dinner ready for you, mine burns water!!

The change to doing ww has given me new motivation (as good as a rest?!). I just couldn't seem to get my arse in gear when I tried last November.

How many exercise points for 1/2 hour of aerobics? Thanks Blondes.

Also, 1/2 pint (300ml) of semi-skimmed milk? I think it's 2.

piste good luck to your dh, hope he's back soon. Are you back in the swing of it now dc at school? My SIL is stuck in Southern Spain and missed school on her birthday (she's a teacher). Don't think she's too sad....

What was that film? Was it a Disney? I seem to remember a siamese cat.

tubby won't delete you, don't worry!!! Hope you get where you want to be soon.

jodie well done on the detox. I have reduced my tea and coffee intake and drinking more water, mainly because I am measuring out my milk now - I was overestimating how much I was having on foodfocus. I am a coffee fiend and the reduction will do me good.

bebe Hope you find your cheque book soon, I found my purse when I lost it the other day - it was in my pocket. It's difficult trying to motivate people close isn't it? My dad used to be overweight, my mum couldn't say anything because he was so sensitive about it.

mummymels How are you?

Poohbearsmom · 20/04/2010 11:13

Good on him Blondes you need him to look after you abit now make sure uv him warned NO TAKE AWAYS!!! im grand thanks few niggles but fine really jus annoyed cause my hosp app to get the results of the biospys isnt for 8wks i know these take a long time to culture nd stuff but 8wks! havin my breast scan fri wk so at least i dont have a long wait for that... New neighbours seem nice (quite a mix of diff types of families) we are all new as its a brand new estate so thats nice we can all settle in together, its a lovely area might even make a friend! only thing im a little worried about is my neighbour has a big dog and im terrified of dogs, was attacked years ago and badly bitten on my face am really scared of em but thats my issue not hers...

bebejones · 20/04/2010 11:51

Blondes - I know it is supposed to be all cheesey but I can sort of con myself that it is 'carbonara' coz it's creamy!!!

Trimmer - Good Luck with your exam. You hit the nail on the head about DH, he is soooooo sensitive about it so anything I say to him he thinks is an attack on him & gets all moody about it! Your poor dad taking all that time to recover, must be miserable for him!

PBM - glad the new house is nice & that you have nice new neighbours!

OP posts:
Poohbearsmom · 20/04/2010 12:11

Lol at you and your sausages Blondes Trimmer your poor dad almost the whole year to recover is shocking we have our keys and have been putting down floors etc for the last wk will hopefully be fully moved in by the weekend so excited! and have i told ye in in love with my curtains o yes thats just how sad i am i actually Love them
