Happy Birthday from me as well Piste!! What are you doing to celebrate?

I've just had a piece of passion cake from Cafe Nero. It was scrummy.

My dress from Bravissimo turned up. It is very creased, and looks really frumpy on . But fits a treat.

Later on, I will link another one I'm thinking of exchanging from Bravissimo, it looks much better.

PBM I sympathise about morning sickness. Can you get some ginger tea? Also, I remember having bands to put on my wrist from Boots with a pressure point (used for seasickness). Didn't work for me but worth considering.

bebe hope dd is better soon. How are you?

blondes I am hoping to lose a 1lb this week as well. Wednesday already, you seem to have done alright this week.

Are you still doing body combat?

GettinTrimmer · 09/06/2010 13:19

what do you think

bebejones · 09/06/2010 13:45

Trimmer - I like the dress, but wouldn't pick it for me as I don't think the shape would suit me. But we aren't choosing a dress for me & as long as you like it that is the main thing!

Piriton seems to have made a difference with DD maybe tis hayfever after all. They have been querying (sp?) asthma with her but 'don't diagnose under 2' so it is possible that she has hayfever I guess. What do I know I'm not a doctor?!?!

Making Biscotti so must go take them out, will be back later....

LOVE the dress, got one slightly the same that i am wearing at friends wedding next weekend

im trying sooooooooooooooooooooo hard this week, will be pissed off if dont lose 2lbs, tho one would be fab on friday

saw a friend yesterda in eve and didnt eat choc biscuit, also didnt have ANY( at coffee am today and just ate my 150g of strawberrys for 1/2p

RatherBeOnThePiste · 09/06/2010 14:52

GT - I like the dress a lot, add a pair of killer heels, something gorgeous round your neck and a big smile and you'll be good to go!

How tall are you? I have not heard of Bravissimo, but I see it is targeting women with bigger bazoomers than me

Just managed lunch with DD ( she was on her way back to school from the orthodontist, good appointment planning on my part ) and DH. We went to Wagamamas. Nom, nom, nom, but we are really celebrating at the weekend.

Thanks for my virtual cake blondes, I thoroughly enjoyed eating it, and was completely guilt free!!

My house IS mayhem, but the builders are quite jolly.

Bebe - hope your DD soon feels the benefit of antihistamine. DH gets hay fever and it is a bastard.

Poohbearsmom · 09/06/2010 15:11

I prefer the blue dress Trimmer but i thought it looked fab in the pic and if it doesnt look good well thats all that counts really. The black and white one is very elegant but id just be wondering if the light colour on top will make your bust look bigger??
Bebe hope hayfever eases soon, will give those nairns and ginger tea a try i rem ginger ale and ww ginger biscuits helped with ds1 but cant rem if i got them with ds2... Tis mostly the eve i start to feel rough but with the boys it was from the moment i woke till the moment i slept, didnt actually throw up too often just always felt i could at any given moment iykwim thanks for suggestions guys feel awful at this moment as im n da hosp waitin to see the bum consultant and tis so crowded and stuffy and my pants are too tight and i forgot im pg for a nano second and ordered a coffee instead of hot choc and she had started making it when my brain clicked (i know im such a fool but my head is swimmy ) so i sipped about half now i feel sick, i know your allowed a cup a day but i feel crap for havin it and my body is punishing me!!

Damn it double post

GettinTrimmer · 09/06/2010 16:14

Hang on in there PBM, hope you don't have too long to wait, and good luck with it. Can you take some sips of water? Tis horrible being somewhere stuffy and hot when you're feeling icky.

I think the top half of the dress looks flattering and the eye will be drawn downwards, but really don't know until I try it on.

The high street definitely doesn't cater for my shape, but hey ho, I'm determined to find something!

GettinTrimmer · 09/06/2010 16:27

piste I'm not very tall, about 5ft 4.5 (don't forget the half!). My legs are quite toned but they are short.

You wouldn't want bigger bangers if you had the bloody buggers.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 09/06/2010 17:07

Loving the tongue twister!

GettinTrimmer · 09/06/2010 17:21

Glad you enjoyed your lunch Piste. How long does it take you to get to central London? must be great being so close.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 09/06/2010 17:47

Our train line is about 40 mins, but it stops everywhere so is actually quite slow, but we can v easily get to Richmond or Wimbledon though and go in on the tube/District Line.

We love it, when DH is working in the UK he is in Victoria v v close to Buck Palace, and of course he is often away, so he needs easy access to the airports. We often go in at weekends and do stuff, DC love it. Current fave places are Camden Market, Tate Modern & Royal Mews, Victoria = DD,
Harrods Food Hall, China Town & Household Cavalry Museum in Horse Guards Parade = DS.
Me = Mooching in the Kings Road looking at slinky clothes for my slinkier bod!!

We did briefly entertain moving out to somewhere like the New Forest. But only briefly. We have Richmond Park on our doorstep, and the Thames, so that will do for us!

GettinTrimmer · 09/06/2010 18:19

We have been meaning to take dcs to London for a while. Do you go to the natural history museum? Ds has wanted to go there for ages.

I loved my day out a while ago when we saw a play at the Old Vic theatre.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 09/06/2010 18:52

Yes, we love the Natural History Museum too, esp. the blue whale and dinosaurs. It is always so packed though. But it is open until 5.30 ish I think, when we go we always go late like 4pm onwards when the tourists have gone home or v early when it opens, and that is certainly better. On Sundays you can queue for ages to get into the museum itself and again for popular exhibitions like the dinos.

Maybe it could be an INSET day activity.
Bloody school gets in the way of life again

GettinTrimmer · 10/06/2010 13:29

Afternoon ladies

How are you all today?

I saw ds's teacher yesterday, and they are going to make a point of telling him he's doing really well, to boost his self-esteem. Also the Emotional Literacy lady will talk to him about going up to yr 4. I am feeling less concerned now the school are aware.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 10/06/2010 14:58

Well done GT, it is good to know he will be getting the support he needs..

Weighed in today as going to the pub later today.

Lost 1lb this week

bebejones · 11/06/2010 09:02

Well done Trimmer! Glad your DS is going to get the support he needs now. You are the same height as me, the half an inch is very important! Agree with you on the if you had big boobs you wouldn't want them! It's a right PITA!!!

Blondes - hope all your good behaviour this week results in a loss for you!

Sorry been quiet, so much going on!

Made Hestons Lemon tart (from that waitrose ad) yesterday...OMG tis amazing! We have friends coming over Saturday for BBQ & football so made it with that in mind, but have had a couple of teeny slices & it's so scrummy!

SILs DS has been moved from intensive care to SCBU, so still very poorly but it's a step in the right direction. He has a problem with his kidneys but we are hopeful that they can sort it out.

All this talk of London! Haven't been for years, now I'm a country bumpkin! Used to live 40mins from London by train, now it takes 3 hours by train!! V&A is my favourite but also love the Science museum. Can't wait til DD is a bit older & we can take her!

Got a tonne of washing to sort out today, just don't know how it builds up, my washing machine is on constantly! Think DH must be wearing about 3 pairs of pants at a time!

blondes sorry you sts, next week will be your week, probably find you'll be 2lb off.

We will get there!!!

bebe On the plus side, the G cup I ordered from Bravissimo is too big. Now I don't know what size I am, and I am not shelling out for expensive new bras, spent a fortune 4 months ago. Will have to visit M & S and try some on, now I've got an idea of my size.

Just looking at our list, there's only about 12 of us left?

piste we deserve another trophy for endurance!

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/06/2010 13:19
