OK, during the last thread I managed to lose the grand total of...nothing in fact I am a few pounds up [sigh]

Have lost maybe an inch from bust waist and hips so that is something I guess, but I will not be in the same position at the start of the next thread. Sazz Someone give me a stern talking to

Yes Lady, scales are off limits for anyone living north of Carlisle.....

Well done on shredding. No DVD still so will chase it up. Any abs appearing yet VG?

CrispyTheCrisp · 07/05/2010 17:50

Forgot to say, i swam 20 lengths this avo. Pretty crap, but then i did fall asleep on the sofa whilst DD's were napping so i blame low energy levels. Walked 3 miles this morning though so reckon i have an Exersazz in the bag anyway.

Pilates booked for the next two mondays which hopefully i can make if DH gets home from work on time

Think i will run/swim & pilates mon, spin Tues and walk Weds and thurs. No time for shredding in that itinery LOL

luckoftheirish · 07/05/2010 19:42

managed 40km on the bike tonight in 65 mins.. amazing what crap tv and a racing mind does for exercising...

hoping that i have sweated off some of the lurgy!!!

well done on the walk/swim sazz i'm hoping to get to pilate on monday too!!!

luckoftheirish · 08/05/2010 19:22

Another 40km biked tonight, that combined with a bit of dodgy tummy should help me well on my way to bikini bod .. don't think so but hopefully have sweated out the rest of the lurgy!!!xx

alittlebitshy · 09/05/2010 16:28

I am either the same as last week or -1lb. weighed 3 times - 1 and 3 had me the same as last week, the second had me 1lb down. meh!

luckoftheirish · 09/05/2010 17:19

i'd take the 1lb down ALBS ..

another 20km completed whist dd2 slept so that is 100km in three days.. one more day worth of exercise before i hit the beach

CrispyTheCrisp · 09/05/2010 18:44

Bloody hell LOTI, that's amazing. Well done you, especially in the circs. I tend to stay away from this thread at the weekend whilst munching my cheese and drinking wine

Good walk today and only pitta and Philadelphia for lunch so prawn curry (homemade & pretty healthy) & rice for tea. Beer i am drinking now, not so healthy.....

Well done ALBS, anything other than up is brill

hotterpotter · 10/05/2010 13:51

Well I am well and truly shredded and I only had 330ml tonic water bottles for weights (lightweight), will have to drink the tonic with gin and refill bottles with pebbles for tomorrow. I thought it was really good and I am knacked, the only thing I really have trouble with is the crunches. She says don't feel it in your neck but I can't help it - don't think I have any muscle left in my abdomen so couldn't finish the bicycle crunches. Hope to do better tomorrow.

Off out in the garden now to clock up sufficient exercise for an ExerSazz today which will make 3 so far after swimming on Friday and 4 hours gardening plus some floor scrubbing yesterday

L
loti you could have cycled to Cyprus at this rate . I hope you have a good time and manage to keep your resolve.

Hello all you other HotMamas

Oh, well done albs I too would go with the 1 down. Despite having digital scales I can get 3 or 4 different readings in one go and always go with the lowest...

OP posts:
CrispyTheCrisp · 10/05/2010 16:31

Yay for being shredded hots, still no DVD here.....

Walked about 4 miles yesterday and ran 3k in 16 mins this avo, powerplated for 5 mins and swam 20 lengths. Pilates later as DH already home

So 3 Exersazz here too already this week, Fri/Sun/Mon

CrispyTheCrisp · 10/05/2010 20:33

Pilates was great tonight which was lovely after my disappointment a few weeks back. Same teacher though. Maybe i was just doing it better. I did come out feeling a bit sick which must mean i was doing it right. Yes?

How are you today LOTI? Bikini packed to show off those Glutes?

LadyGardenia · 10/05/2010 21:22

Well done exerSazzers GREAT to hear your Pilates was satisfying Sazz, lol at doing so hard you felt sick! That's what we like to see

LOTI you mad cyclist / kicker of life's butt are you ready to go?

Hotsy yay you liked the dvd, how did you manage re. curtains, etc? Don't don't don't wreck your neck doing this I did it in Pilates a month or more ago and it was total agony for ages. Don't do it. She (Jillian ) says when doing the crunches keep your neck out of it (The Neck is Not Invited to This Pardy) by imagining you are thrusting the front of your throat to the ceiling, eyes trained on ceiling. That is meant to keep you from hauling your entire body around with only the strength of the sinews in your neck, or something. Before you shred tomorrow try a crunch that way and feel what it feels like iyswim so you will have a body-memory of the move for later.

Sazz hope your dvd arrives tomorrow though you are probably too advanced for it!!

At work today, and a loooong day so haven't shredded, will do in am.

LadyGardenia · 10/05/2010 21:24

"the move" get me.

I could be one of Jillian's best girls.

Which one do you think she is ... oh no forget it...

hotterpotter · 11/05/2010 10:10

LOLOL VG

Well I am achey today, including my tummy so must have got moves at least partly right. Am hoping that doing it again is the ight thing to do today ad will not leave me crippled. At least there's no driving tomoz as off on the train to Brum for a diversity meeting (oh the glamour).

Glad you enjoyed pilates Sazz, but am a little that it made you feel sick!

OP posts:
LadyGardenia · 11/05/2010 10:14

Oh good I think aching tummy is a good sign potster. Yes do it again today even if it's aggers - I have had 3 days off!! and not aching a bit so I WANT THE PAIN so am getting one in at naptime today.

GOOD RESULTS ARE NOT COMING FOR FREE.

YOU DO NOT GET ABS LIKE THESE FOR FREE.

ETC

ahem

etc.

hotterpotter · 11/05/2010 10:24

Tbh I don't really want abs like that, those totally flat tummy buttons freak me out... Who am I kidding that any amount of shredding is going to sufficiently undo the damaged caused by two cake-wielding pregnancies just to lose most of the pouch is my aim.

I was thinking of you VG while I was doing the punches after you'd said you were punching Jillian I must say that after only one go she actually didn't seem to annoying, certainly less than Davina. Time will tell I guess.

OP posts:
hotterpotter · 11/05/2010 10:26

Unless I can bring myself to do it after work tomorrow then today will be my last one till maybe next week as we are off away on Friday for the weekend.

OP posts:
LadyGardenia · 11/05/2010 10:45

No, you're right pots, she's not actually that annoying.

I didn't do it yesterday because I was shattered but Sat and Sun were because there was always someone around! DP offered to watch and encourage but I politely declined .

Off anywhere nice?

hotterpotter · 11/05/2010 13:19

We are off to stay with a friend and her two DDs in Norwich, will hopefully have a super great time and may get in a country walk or two but will also no doubt drink my own body weight in red wine or maybe that should be [lush] At least my own body weight in wine is one or two bottles fewer than this time last year

OP posts:
LadyGardenia · 11/05/2010 14:40

Sounds good, have never been to Norwich other than via Alan Partridge .

Am shredded for today, now ds2 conveniently wakes up so off we go about our business.

hotterpotter · 11/05/2010 21:31

Well I can really feel it today in my arms, thighs and tummy so must be doing some good. I was nearly broken at the end

How heavy are the weights supposed to be? My improvised ones are 750g now and that seems reeeeally heavy

OP posts:
LadyGardenia · 11/05/2010 21:38

Mine are a kilo each but I think I would like 2 kilos - though I am as weak as a goldfish I really want to get the benefit. I probably couldn't do most of the moves esp the squat/raise to eye level thing with 2 kilos. Wonder why I am so weak after so many years of child-lugging.

Great that you are feeeeeeeling the burrrrrrn pots.

hotterpotter · 13/05/2010 20:26

Oh feck it I have been self-sabotaging again with biscuits and a cream doughnut The only thing in my favour is five (yes count 'em FIVE) ExerSazzes, two swims (inc today), two shreds and a mammoth gardening session. That'll be me done until Monday now though and dreading the weigh in after carb overload

2 kilos VG I reckon I could lift those but not much else.

OP posts:
dizzydixies · 13/05/2010 20:40

tentatively dips a toe in - hello all

I know I'm not technically allowed to be in here but I was having an interesting conversation with the Sgt Mjr Crisp via text the other day I am now 30lbs lighter than when I started on my weight loss journey at the end of last year. the fact that I am now weighing in at more than 2 stone lighter and am still the weight that I am is embarassing I was sad to have to give up my gym membership and would go back in a heartbeat AND I'm also aware that I'm allowed to do feck all until May 31st however I don't want to go backwards

I'm keeping an eye on my weight and I'm with you in spirit even if not in sweat/motion at the moment and I always find it easier to eat healthier in the summer. DH has been asked to kurb the meat deliveries and the comort foods - as much as I appreciate he is trying to make me feel better I don't want to slip back into old habits just out of feeling blue

so here I am, I'll behave and not push anything but fingers crossed you'll manage to keep me on the straight and narrow in the meantime

hotterpotter · 14/05/2010 09:09

Dizzy 30lb is AMAZING well done It's definitely a good idea to acknowledge that eating cake/chocolate/ice cream/whatever won't actually make you feel better when you are feeling sad, or it might temporarily but it doesn't last, and may even make you feel worse when you realise you have been suckered in again (speaking from bitter experience here ). Try and take comfort from the simple beauty of a tomato, or the amazing journey a banana has taken just to wind up in your fruit bowl just for you...

Am trying hard to not have toast now having had a bowl of shreddies for breakfast. DD and DH eating it and it smells good

Up 1lb on last week which is but not particularly surprising. Sigh.

Hope someone else has better news. I wonder how Lance Armstrong loti is getting on in Cyprus?

OP posts:
CrispyTheCrisp · 14/05/2010 13:15

Up 0.75lb but AF here and wine partaken due to work shite this week, but food has been ok

Exersazz - 3 walks/1 pilates and 1 short gym/pool session. Nothing too energetic but keeping active. SHred DVD arrived but not sure when i shall do it - the girls sleep straight after lunch so i can't do it then as would probably be sick. However if i delay eating my lunch until afterwards I would probably faint from hunger

1lb not so bad Hots, as Dizz says, roll on the warmer weather and we will all be as virtuous as vegetarians at a kebab stand

Well done on the 30lbs Dizz and i reckon as you are doing, sensible eating but no strenous exercise will ensure maintenance for a bit until you are feeling stronger. No doubt we will all still be here battling on our weight loss/toning journeys

Hots, not sure LOTI was intending to wear lycra to the wedding
