OK, during the last thread I managed to lose the grand total of...nothing in fact I am a few pounds up [sigh]

Have lost maybe an inch from bust waist and hips so that is something I guess, but I will not be in the same position at the start of the next thread. Sazz Someone give me a stern talking to

Have stopped being a wuss and prevaricating and have just shredded. Waited 45mins after lunch and all ok. Felt fine, only bit hurting was the lifting bottled water weights above the head for an age. Weighed the water bottle and they are 1.5kg each which definitely was working my muscles but not excessive as i know i need to feel the burn

Just off to the pool for DD2's lesson. Think i will swim for 15 mins and then 15 in the sauna to help the shredded muscles recover.

dizzydixies · 14/05/2010 17:32

right, what IS this shredding - link please

CrispyTheCrisp · 14/05/2010 17:41

when you put paper into a machine and it turns it into rabbit bedding

CrispyTheCrisp · 14/05/2010 17:49

Sorry, here you go

dizzydixies · 14/05/2010 17:57

lol - I already had a look as am too nosey for my own good - considering I'm shattered after a walk round asda/the harbour and a meeting at the cafe I don't think I'll start it this week

dizzydixies · 14/05/2010 18:00

and as DH has just pointed out that its hardly likely to be low impact for my hip either maybe I shall just get it and watch him do it instead

CrispyTheCrisp · 14/05/2010 18:33

LOL, no i don't think Jillian does low impact

dizzydixies · 14/05/2010 19:16

no, by the sounds of the reviews she doesn't he's going on one of his courses on Mon to have petrol bombs/bricks etc thrown at him so I'm sure he could managed a wee woman called Jillian?!

LadyGardenia · 14/05/2010 19:18

Glad yr dvd arrived Sazz.

Dizzy all that lepping about won't be ideal BUT there are certain parts you would be able to do, for example in the cardio section when she does the punches she says it's a good way of getting cardio in if you have lr back injury, etc. Dunno what rules are re. exercise things following your release from hos though.

She's all right, Jillian is.

30 lbs is .

dizzydixies · 14/05/2010 19:20

never mind the 30lbs being its the fact that I'm still as heavy as I am AFTER loosing the 30lbs which is the

LadyGardenia · 14/05/2010 19:24

Can you stop with the self-loathing there please, dizzy? You may have missed our earlier resolution about loving the body you're in, even as you change it.

What you are supposed to focus on, my dear, is the good decisions you make now about health, exercise and nutrition.

dizzydixies · 14/05/2010 19:34

sorry

CrispyTheCrisp · 14/05/2010 19:48

Lady - can i ask as a fellow runner and hence used to cardio stuff, did you sweat when you did it? I didn;t so wondering if i should up a level now or do a few days first?

LadyGardenia · 14/05/2010 19:58

No I don't really sweat, though I do find it keeps me going and does burn sometimes, the cardio bits don't bother me. I actually did a Level 2 one this morning and it was tougher but there were moves I couldn't do (dreadful press up position knee swivel thing, yikes) so I am keeping with Level 1 for the next week or so.

dizzydixies · 14/05/2010 19:59

glow ladies, glow

CrispyTheCrisp · 14/05/2010 20:00

Yes, it definitely felt like a workout, esp with the 1.5kg Buxton weights , but just wondered re sweating. Think i will do Level 1 until bored with that and then move on. Ta muchly

CrispyTheCrisp · 14/05/2010 20:03

Sorry, glowing . Yes, i definitely glowed.....

dizzydixies · 16/05/2010 09:05

special K and banana for brekker washed down with OJ and spatone and a slice of toast with pate on it

am justifying it due to shit night had by all me

CrispyTheCrisp · 16/05/2010 09:13

Sounds pretty ok to me dizz. After my eating fest yesterday i am hardly in a position to challenge anyone else's

Shredded muscles are definitely aching, specifically my thighs

dizzydixies · 16/05/2010 09:16

full fat pate bought in a petulant strop in Tesco where I was trying to cheer myself up buying all the things I wasn't allowed preiously I only stopped short of stocking up on wine because DH told me I wasn't replacing lost blood with Rose and if it was in the house I would

DH tried on an XXL shirt for going to that wedding last night and it was tight so he's decided enough is enough - I very much doubt however that his resolve extended to slim line tonic last night (certainly not by the smell of him) and can't see him going out for a run this morning might by his the shred for when he gets back from boot camp this week - as a present of course

CrispyTheCrisp · 16/05/2010 09:20

Well, if you want your man with rock hard thighs then is a good place to start

dizzydixies · 16/05/2010 09:29

lol, I shall waken him with the knowledge that you and I have been discussing his rock hard thighs - am sure he will be thrilled

LadyGardenia · 16/05/2010 13:27

Oooh hello thighs .

My own thigh muscles aching too from shredding but I seem to have put on about 3 pounds since I started the shred and don't give me the muscle weighs more than fat line because I don't think I have gained 3 lbs of muscle!!

I seem to have been saying for weeks that I am getting Seriously Back on the Wagon. Shall I make tomorrow the day? There is a boot camp in our local park .

dp is irritatingly the the total opposite of me (me= short, soft, lazy, him = tall, lean, mean running/rowing machine) and appears to be able to eat whatever he wants however he claims to want to lose half a stone so will make it easier if we are both doing it. Dizzy hope you find the same!

God can I bear to go to Tesco on a day like today? Shopping list - water, water, water, leaves, leaves, leaves, nice cheese, tons of poisson, bales of nappies.

CrispyTheCrisp · 16/05/2010 14:45

Yes Lady, tomorrow is the day. Although boot camp sounds kinda scary - what does it entail?

Tesco on a day like this sounds rubbish (sorry). On your salads how about adding radishes, beetroot, roasted peppers, pappadew peppers from a jar, chopped basil/coriander, wafers of parmesan, anchovies, olives, chickpeas, gherkins, beansprouts with thai dressing etc to spice up the leaves. Obv you might not want to add them all at once

dizz you can tell him i'll give his thighs a squeeze next time i see him . I suspect he may be running for the forest at that thought............
