OK, during the last thread I managed to lose the grand total of...nothing in fact I am a few pounds up [sigh]

Have lost maybe an inch from bust waist and hips so that is something I guess, but I will not be in the same position at the start of the next thread. Sazz Someone give me a stern talking to

LOL @ weights VG . Quite balanced though i would imagine and you wouldn't drop the bottles ;)

Hopefully i am getting it through the post this week to try and help tone up. May be worth doing some measurements for pre and post comparison VG?

Swam half a mile yesterday and am trying to summon energy for gym this avo, but there is SO much to do to make this house look vaguely like a home that i think i am stuck here...

Hope you find out what is wrong from the docs LOTI and get back to being biking queen ASAP

LadyGardenia · 04/05/2010 19:43

Yes that's a good idea Sazz re. measurements, I will take hips, waist and maybe under the bust as well as bust "at the fullest part" as they always say . It might get boring doing the same workout every day but who cares it's only 20 mins! I am not 100 pc clear on when you move up a level but reliably there was a thread on MN on it (isn't there always?) last month and they seem to say move up when you are ready or bored. Results seem good so bring on the burn, or as Jillian says, you don't get abs like these for free.

Jillian, you are so right.

Sazz I hope yours comes quickly so we can be doing it at the same time

cyteen · 04/05/2010 21:13

LG I am still enjoying the shred Not getting round to it quite as much as I'd like, certainly not every day, but managing a respectable level of attendance. Am also currently following up tonight's shred with half a pizza and a glass of wine, but that's because I'm stressed with uni work

Once May is over (lots of big/stressful/exciting things happening this month) I plan to devote myself a bit more to the health and exercise. FWIW I have definitely noticed a bit more definition around the upper part of my waist, and that's with no real effort to change my diet.

LadyGardenia · 04/05/2010 21:16

Oh good cyteen - on the enjoyment and on the waistline. Do enjoy your glass of wine! How's the work going anyway?

cyteen · 04/05/2010 21:21

Not so bad atm - just having a quick brain rest break before plunging back in

LadyGardenia · 04/05/2010 21:22

Good. Keep it up & don't get distracted by Heston B with his 70s feast.

hotterpotter · 05/05/2010 15:19

Ooh if you're all doing the shred I might do it too . My main trouble in our poky open plan house is there is nowhere I can do stuff like this without an audience or risking waking the DC. I could hang a curtain between living/dining rooms I suppose or nip out and do it in the garage... What I really need to do is get my fecking arse in gear and move house.

Anyway in lieu of any biking/running/dvd-ing I have been for a swim today and managed 42 lengths in 40 minutes so that is quite good. Will try and get 2 swims per week in from now on and see if that does any good.

LadyGardenia · 05/05/2010 20:08

Oh dear it is rather odd being on this thread with dizzy in hospital in these circumstances.

Just draw the curtains hotser, everyone will think you're inside having nooners. Try the dvd it's 5.99 and free delivery in UK.

I was sore today, not expecting to be, sore in good places. Have completed 2/30 which even I, the maths dullard, can tell is not a whopping fraction.

CrispyTheCrisp · 05/05/2010 20:21

I know what you mean VG . We will need to be here though to bring her back to full health and strength, so sloping off please

Well done on the Shred VG, DVD not arrived so i am 0/30 which is an even lower fraction

Fab swimming Hots and twice a week sounds fab for toning

LadyGardenia · 05/05/2010 21:00

Yes indeed we will be here to focus on future health and wellbeing and organise meetups.

LadyGardenia · 05/05/2010 21:01

As Jillian says

I am well on my way to being shredded.

Actually she is not that annoying. For a fitness sergeantmajor instructor of course. I do aim at her face when doing punches though...

CrispyTheCrisp · 05/05/2010 21:04

I think that should be no sloping off on my previous post. Doh! Not that any of you lot follow any of my orders requests, so maybe no worries

Shredding just sounds so, well, wrong. I keep imagining an office accident ending up looking like something out of Mr Jolly Lives Next Door, and it is not pretty, i can tell you

LadyGardenia · 05/05/2010 21:05

Well if what you're thinking of isn't pretty, neither is me in my pyjamas doing butt-kicks while juggling glass bottles of spirits.

hotterpotter · 06/05/2010 09:55

OK I have succumbed to peer pressure and sent off for the dvd

Oh, and did someone mention a meetup???

OP posts:
luckoftheirish · 06/05/2010 11:05

thinking i now need to get me the dvd too .. don't wanna be feeling left out ..

obviously feck all exercise for me in my current state.. my nufuron/cold & flu makes me feel sick to my tummy so little eatig going on either.. don't reckon i am doing enough moving to burn off the little i am eating so not hopefully for tom scales.. ho hum

CrispyTheCrisp · 06/05/2010 11:20

LOL, that shred woman is going to be raking in in from desperate motivated MNetters all over the world country

Weighed this morning and quite pleased . Have been v good with food and alcohol, although the lack of running and powerplate has definitely led to more of a jelly belly. Hoping to shred this off eewwwwwww

LadyGardenia · 06/05/2010 22:01

Yay let's all get shredded together.

hotterpotter · 07/05/2010 07:59

oopsandbabycoconut · 07/05/2010 08:19

The only shred in the house is Shredded Wheat and they are stale from being open for the last 6 months and only 2 have been eaten!!

YAY HP - you seem to have broken your plateau!

CrispyTheCrisp · 07/05/2010 08:25

Am 2lb down since Tues but won't take it literally till next wk.

Well done guys x

LadyGardenia · 07/05/2010 15:52

dizzy - off the scales with you, please. You are allowed to be here for health & strength only atm. I don't know if you have a doc's check again soon?

Well I am 3/30 shredded, and feeling ok. Took a day off yesterday as really didn't feel like it (I know, I know, those are the days you have to...). However on returning to it today I am still word perfect on the script and I am lusting after Anita's black/green combo. Unfortunately it would reveal abs that certainly did not come for free...

DP unearthed some weights for me (I say unearthed - we were actually using them to keep the bin closed so the dogs wouldn't scavenge when we go out... rather sadly I never computed that they were actually WEIGHTS, just that they were HEAVY THINGS good for keeping lids closed...) and I can exclusively reveal that a glass litre bottle of vodka weighs considerably more than a 1KG thing off the end of a dumbbell. So today's shred was a lot easier.

Sazz & hotsy delighted to see your losses! Wow they are gooduns. Keep it up, girls. Or should I say, "Hit it!"

oopsandbabycoconut · 07/05/2010 17:16

LG - I had typed a similar message to Dizzy but deleted it worried I might make her shout at me offend her.
