Maintained this week, although it is that time of the month, so will try and be good and not give in to the cravings!

Well done to everyone who lost weight this week.

I, for one, won't have hit my target by the end of this month and would love to carry on with this thread.

bebejones · 23/03/2010 17:52

I'm going to chalk today up as a very small disaster! DD had a full on tantrum at dinner time so ended up eating most of her dinner in an attempt to get her to a mouthful! If babies were born as toddlers no one would have more than one!

Have put the biscuits away at the very very back of the cupboard for now (bin was full & I don't do bins!) Plus have people coming for 'playdate' later this week so will force feed encourage them to eat the biscuits!

Oh well at least I did 30mins exercise today, that's more than I mostly get the oppurtunity to do! And have got the rest of the week to make up for it, and it wasn't that bad really. At least DD's dinners are mostly healthy & v small portions!

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/03/2010 22:39

Toddlers are a pita bebe

my one screamed at me&stamped her feet so I removed her from the kitchen where she collasped in a heap

5 mins later she stopped and was allowed back in& had a cuddle.

Now my ickle wickle baby I'm
night nannying for Is so cute and cuddly.

He also snores hence why I'm up replying when I should be asleep. 10pm feed a doodle. It's the 1&4 which knackers me

hence why I have just eaten a curly wurly but still under my points

Poohbearsmom · 23/03/2010 23:30

Bebe if a bicky was da most calorific thing id eaten today itd be grand but having a chef for a husband can somethine play havoc on the ok diet front and dinner today was one of those occasions... May hav eaten a days worth of calories n one meal, not good... but i did manage to resist da uber lush lookin cakes n da cafe at da posh private hosp i had my mri done n 2day (my poor mans fallin down public hosp who gave me M.R.S.A Provides a wonderful service doesnt hav their own so send ya to da private hosp) anyways this place was fab it looks like a swanky 5* hotel & had a pond nd fountain wit huge tropical fish n it n da reception! never seen anythin like it but da cafe had me drooling but was gud & jus got a plain coffee thanks Jodie & Trim & EVERYONE who has very kindly asked after me & my wounded bum tis stil bad, stil havin it packed/dressed daily but da waitin list is so long da rest of my tests rnt for another 3wks grr... iv bn havin alot of stomach pain too & dono if its damage from all da painkillers or could b a sign of one of the awful things theyr testing me for on a happier note iv a new amazingly delicious fav snack/treat Surf seeds, omg ladies they r so ooooo gud! do ye hav them?

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/03/2010 23:36

Posh hospital sound lovely. Hope MRI scan went well

Poohbearsmom · 23/03/2010 23:43

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww ikle tiny snorin newborn omg Blondes ya jus sent my broodyness n2 overdrive! give him a lil cuddle for me too can i ask do da parents go to bed & u mind baba all night n like their home is that how night nannying works? im a bit thick id never heard of it before

Poohbearsmom · 23/03/2010 23:52

X posts hun Surf seeds r bloody lovely they r a sunflower seed mix, uv normal sunflower seeds & uv ones coated n crispy candy shell & uv BELGIAN CHOC ones all mixed up together mmmmmm they r so gud they shudnt b legal! Even my boys adore em

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/03/2010 02:27

Not thick at all

night nannying is normally when a nanny looks after children through the night&takes care of them

techinally I am mn, maturnity nursing at the moment as young baby. Varies on parent but some bf some don't. If don't then I do all feeds as on bottle

if bf then when baby wakes, I take to mum and she feeds then I take baby back and wind, change and settle

baby is in the same room as me and gawd he snores and snuffles

some mums like to feed in private, others like this mum like me to stay&we have a chat while she feeds

it's always nice to have a chat but bf takes longer than bottles so when doing a bf job, it's more Tiring as feeding can take 45+mins compared to say 15 mins with a bottle

now I'm awake grrrrrrrrrr it's nearly 2.30 and I should be asleep

sorry for waffle ladies

and omg at chocolate nuts. Ww would not allow me those lol

I am now peckish tho shouldn't be but as my body is awake it wants food

the mum has told me to help myself to anything I want but I shoudnt be eating at 2.30am

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/03/2010 04:57

But have just eaten a banana at almost 5am

' yawns '

was going to have a choccy biscuit but restrained myself

RatherBeOnThePiste · 24/03/2010 06:58

Blondes... Your halo is blinding me!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/03/2010 07:29

Why thank you piste

tho I may be on the chocolate today. Baby was ok but older siblings up at 5.30 squealing/shouting outside my/baby door. Not impressed. I'm knackered

have a good day all

GettinTrimmer · 24/03/2010 09:39

You're doing better than I did Blondes, I used to have two breakfasts, one at 5am then another later on! And tea and toast after night wakings.

PBM Sunflower seeds are high in Omega 3 I think, really good for you. Impressed at avoiding cakes in swanky cafe.

bebe How's your dd? When my dd was a toddler she used to choose 3pm for a big strop, just at the time of the school run, she'd go stiff, so stapping her in the buggy was interesting.

When you do 1/2 hour of Davina do you log it on foodfocus as high impact aerobics? If there's alot of toning don't know what it would come under.

We are starting our eggs tomorrow, thanks for that link.

I have looked out some photos of me from a couple of years ago on holiday when I weighed just a few pounds heavier than I did now - this year, I am determined to look trimmer....

Poohbearsmom · 24/03/2010 10:12

Well done on resisting the choc Blondes & ud def be allowed my yummy sunflower seeds they r 140 cals a third of da pkt container thing & they r so fillin & really hit da biggest sweet craving big time mmm dat mum is very lucky to hav ya cant even imagine what it wud hav bn like havin help when my boys were lil... need inspiring wat shud i do for dinner wit chick? dh did da most finger lickin marinated chick thing l.nite but iv gotta use chick again & ant ever gona top dh's... o well i can but try...

bebejones · 24/03/2010 10:12

Trimmer - I log it as General Aerobics and log it 5mins less than I do if I do a toning bit! Not sure if that's right though! Think if I did the bums bit I might log it as high impact coz it's lots of jumping, marching & squats and really hurts!

DD has started today in the same manner as we finished yesterday! Toddlers...who'd have 'em?!?! Trying not to be cross coz she is still not well, but she is really pushing my buttons!

Had half a grapefuit for brekkie, YUM! Forgotten how much I love it! Going to try Blondes pitta pizzas for dinner! Will make one for DD using a muffin, fingers crossed!

I had a massive baking frenzy over the last couple of weeks to use up loads of ingredients & subsequently have a freezer full of cake! Am taking it all to my mums at Easter though. She needs a supply of cake for work, so must not be tempted to eat it before then! At least with it being in the freezer I can't pick at it. By the time it's defrosted it's not worth it!!

bebejones · 24/03/2010 16:07

Blondes - strong coffee? Pro plus?!

Feeling dead chuffed, emailed a pic of me and my DD that was taken at the weekend to my mum. She rang me up to tell me she couldn't believe how thin I looked and that I looked about 15!! She is my biggest critic so I'm mega pleased!

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/03/2010 16:26

cant stand coffee

fab mum noticed you lost weight

Poohbearsmom · 24/03/2010 16:37

Bebe enjoy da pittas they r lovely and hope your little pita behaves for the eve ah Blondes i rem that feeling only too well... My own lil man was awake since half 5 his teeth r at him then he conked at half 12 & slept til after 3 so wil not b easy to get to sleep tonight yawn gud for him gettin to nap, he woke much happier but i cudnt sleep l.nite til after 2 so a bit of a zombie here too...

Poohbearsmom · 24/03/2010 16:51

Ah bebe thats lovely jus wait till ur running round n ur size 12's & dh is all toned too ye'l hav da cam out daily

RatherBeOnThePiste · 24/03/2010 17:47

That sort of tiredness is like living in a bubble isn't it Blondes and PBM?

My DD does swimming club early twice a week ( twice more a week in the evening ) one starting at 6am (getting up at 5.30 ) and the other starting at 6.45. She loves it and it certainly keeps her fit, but it gives me and DH big bags under our eyes the size of suitcases!

I feel a bit bleeeuuuggghhh at the mo with my diet, once again I feel like I've lost momentum, I am doing the same old, same old and my weight loss has slowed right down.

Any ideas? Maybe I need to change something. I'm just calorie counting and still biking it to work ( 15 - 20 mins )

RatherBeOnThePiste · 24/03/2010 17:49

GettingTrimmer You know that stiff position children adopt when you are trying to put them in a buggy?

Me and DH named that the ironing board

GettinTrimmer · 24/03/2010 17:56

that just about describes it!

I am feeling the same atm Piste, I have found a picture of myself at the weight I am now, and I will get dh to print it off and I'll put it on the fridge, to spur me on to carrying on - I really want to be slimmer and trimmer for the summer, I would love that.

Don't know what to say about weight loss slowing down, the same has happened for me - I've got about 16lbs to lose, I think it slows down.

How many calories are you having per day? I've just had my food, I've had 1600ish today, Monday was a write off because I snaffled home made pizza, would hate to think what that was.

OP posts:
RatherBeOnThePiste · 24/03/2010 18:21

I think maybe you are right, it just slows down. At the start I could easily shift 3 or 4 pounds a week, then it went to two,now it's one, but I feel like I'm doing the same thing.

I reckon I 'm having somewhere between 1200 and 1600 calories a day, and trying to eat more of it in the morning and less in the evening.

Many more people have noticed that I have lost weight now, so that is encouraging. So I am not completely disheartened, and like you I am keeping going to the summer!!

GettinTrimmer · 24/03/2010 18:34

Yes, it's great when people notice. It's not people who see me all the time, my sister hadn't seen me since Christmas and noticed the difference.

I would kick myself now if I don't carry on.

The answer for me isn't to eat less, but definitely when I exercise 4/5 times a week, I see a difference.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 24/03/2010 18:36

For Everyone Still Going.........

this is just for you - we are doing so well
