happy mothers day all

have tried to save a few points friday+yesterday to try and rein in what i will eat today when dh and i take out mum and mil

bebejones · 14/03/2010 10:12

Happy Mothers Day!

Have had a big (very naughty) treat this morning. McD's breakfast bagel! Not horrendous calorie wise though. Got a v active day planned & going to be very good the rest of the day....promise!

If I lose weight now I'm going to be amazed! Was good yesterday though, hoping it won't have done too much damage! Although after the pizza incident earlier in the week things could be bad 2moro!!

Poohbearsmom · 14/03/2010 10:31

Dont stress about tomoro bebe jus have a lovely day & bagels r low gi so thats a gud Its lovely ye take yer mums out Blondes im lookin forward to hearin bout every1's day

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/03/2010 10:33

PBM hope your day isnt too bad - take it easy and hope dh pampers you x

GettinTrimmer · 14/03/2010 10:44

Morning all

Blondes enjoy your day with your mum and mil.

bebe breakfast bagel sounds alright to me! Doubt if it would have done any damage

PBM Relax and take care x

I have shrunk my net curtainy voile things, the front room one is hanging at half mast, it looks daft but will give us a little privacy until I get them replaced. Dd thinks it's hilarious.

A few little accidents for me lately - first the handbrake on the car, then I shattered the glass lid to my oven (was getting rid of a cobweb and knocked a spice jar on it), now the voiles. Oh well ....

Happy mothers day all x

I have made a Nigella Lawson chocolate cheesecake to take to my mums. I was hoping to cook a slap up meal for her so she could have a rest, but my dad still can't get out and about after breaking his ankle in that ice back in January, so I'm going there.

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 14/03/2010 10:55

and will you be eating the cheesecake trimmer .......

hope your dads ankle recovers soon

MABS · 14/03/2010 10:59

happy mothers day, i am having a 4 course lunch cooked by ds and dd. Have seen 3 pots of double cream in fridge so am very nervous!! xx

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/03/2010 11:28

4 courses and doublecream

what the hell its MOTHER'S DAY

JODIEwantsanewname · 14/03/2010 16:07

Happy mothers day girlies!!!
Hope you are all getting thoroughly (sp?) spoilt!

I got taken shopping! was great. had lunch (very naughty burger and fries ) but as I weigh on a Saturday I have all week to make up for it!

I've actually done something that I'm very nervous about.... I (well DH!) bought me a lovely dress today.

I've tried to do a link but it doesn't work, but if you are interested click on this go to women on the top tab, then to dresses then to going out dresses and it's on page 5 the orange bow bandau dress (it's actually more red than orange though)

It's so stunning, but I've bought it in a size too small, as an incentive! It's for the race day I'm going on in May, I have now 8 weeks to lose 3 inches from my back so that it does up!!!! I reckon (I hope!) the 12lbs i need to lose to get to 10 stone will do it! Now the weather is geting nice and the nights abit lighter I will be motivated to get out abit more......

Wish me luck ladies!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 14/03/2010 19:02

Happy Mother's Day everyone - I was cheeky and weighed myself this morning before I was made breakfast in bed and 5 minutes later taken out for lunch! It was lovely though, a real treat for us all.

I am chuffed to bits with a two pound loss this week especially with AF looming.

PBM i really hope you feeling better now you have the right medicine etc. Bribe your boys to behave I reckon. How old are they? I had no idea you were in Ireland, I also thought N London!!

Blondes - Hope you enjoyed going out - what did you end up eating? I am so nosy I know!!

Twitter - get your butt of the naughty step and come back to the squishy new sofa!

Mels - Am loving the idea of go lower choc brazils, where are they from?

Jodie - I am loving your new dress, very gorgeous, lovely shape, a real summer do dress! Lovely colour too, a real posh frock. Fab.

GettinEven MoreTrimmer - i laughed out loud re your nets, sorry, that was bad of me, but I thought that kind of stuff only happened to me!

Bebe - Hope you enjoyed your treat. Life is too short to have no treats.

To everyone - keep going, we are all doing so well, I am feeling so much better not to be quite so big. I started taking vitamins plus minerals and my legs have not ached at night since. I read lots about it ( as you do ) and it seemed likely to be this restless legs thingy which can be caused by lack of potassium and or iron. Hopefully that will be the end of that, I just need to keep taking my vits!

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE

clam · 14/03/2010 19:17

Hi.
Not registered on this thread so far but have lurked from behind the fruit bowl.
Lost a stone since January
Bizarrely, am feeling faintly jealous of those people who've just had a blow-out this weekend. I've tried not to, scrimped and picked at naughty stuff, didn't enjoy it coz of the guilt, and probably gained weight anyway. Should have just stuffed myself and had a good time and worried about the scales tomorrow morning.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/03/2010 19:20

clam, well done on weight loss, come and join us,copy and paste your name to end of list

and regards to guilt, i thought sod it,will be soooooooooooooooo good all week and sure when i weigh on friday will be pissed off that i have gained or sts but hey ho

we all need to eat

clam · 14/03/2010 19:23

Do I have to tell everyone how much I weigh(ed)?

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/03/2010 19:24

not if you dont want to,but we all did

and least whatever you did weigh in jan, you are a stone less now

GettinTrimmer · 14/03/2010 19:31

Evening all

Clam Welcome! well done on your stone. I have 1.5 pounds to go and am hoping the scales will be kind to me tomorrow. Are you doing much exercise as well?

Blondes Not really had a massive blow out today, a piece of my chocolate cheesecake for lunch, and ryvitas/grapes/bag of crisps for tea. Low level naughtiness!

Good luck to all weighing in tomorrow.

OP posts:
bebejones · 14/03/2010 19:32

Hi Clam! Add yourself on to the list...we don't bite...unless exceptionally hungry!

It's not so much the bagel I'm worried about from this morning...it's the sausage, egg & cheese that were inside it!

Have been so busy throughout the day though that I actually forgot to have lunch! Had a bowl of roasted veg soup for dinner & will prob have a yoghurt in a bit.

Well done Piste!

Jodie - good luck!! Lovely dress btw, bet it will look fab!

Blondes - the food sounds so yummy! I love pate, I was more upset that I couldn't eat the pate starter than drink the booze at my wedding! (Had just discovered I was PG with DD)

Good Luck for 2moro everyone, sending lots of thin vibes to you all!!

GettinTrimmer · 14/03/2010 19:40

Piste Well done on your loss, 22lb all in all, that is just fantastic!!

Don't blame you for sniggering about my voiley net curtain things, it is funny. Not so bad because bizzarely only one has shrunk, the other hasn't, so only one to replace.

Jodie I love that dress, has given me an idea for the wedding in August.

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 14/03/2010 19:50

JODIE lovely dress

and BEBE the pate was lush

clam · 14/03/2010 21:13

OK, so where's the justice in this? Girls' night out on Friday. Selected a boringly shite bowl of Caesar Salad with zilch dressing and a cold, hard (!) poached egg and tough bits of chicken. Vile. Friend (also dieting) blew out on fish, creamy sauce, Dauphinoise potatoes, PUDDING!!!! and lots of wine. She contracted a tummy upset and has lost 5lbs. Me? Zero loss.

How desperate am I, to be envious of a tummy bug.

bebejones · 14/03/2010 22:07

Clam - always makes me think of 'Devil wears Prada' and the line of 'I am just one stomach flu away from my goal weight'! DH & DD had the winter D&V bug & I didn't get it....so not fair! Totally with you there!

Trimmer - I seem to be stubbling from one thing to another at the moment. Have broken 2 glasses & one of DD's bowls this weekend alone! And hoovered up one of DD's socks & shrunk one of her Tshirts this week too! (Although the Tshirt actually fits her better now!)
