Thanksfor that Piste it's lovely

something like this spurs me on!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 24/03/2010 18:52

I hooted out loud then!

I love the bit about 'downing pints of beer and tucking into burgers and chips'

Spurring indeed!!

bebejones · 24/03/2010 20:28

Pitta Pizza was amazing, had some low fat ham, red onion, red pepper & sweetcorn on it & low fat cheese. YUM YUM YUM! Thanks for that Blondes!

Loving the inspiration this evening! Poor KK, it's not good is it?!

Spurring me on is the tonne of clothes I have that haven't fitted in years that I would love to wear again. Plus having a normal BMI so when we TTC I don't get smart ass/nasty comments from MW about being overweight!

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/03/2010 20:33

Keep going ladies

I'm off to my baby again and if a bad night/get woken up by screaming siblings then I will survive as I

not working tomorrow daytime&going to bed lol

GettinTrimmer · 24/03/2010 20:59

I've just dug out some photos taken 10 years ago on my honeymoon, I've never been stick thin, but I looked alright, I was about 10 stone 5.

piste that's an inspiring song.

Come the summer I hope to be wearing my Monsoon summer dress I found at the back of my wardrobe, size 12.

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 25/03/2010 04:52

It's nice to think we will be slimmer in the summer

better night tonight. Mum has decided to di bottles a night so she can sleep while I'm here

breast may be best but sometimes bottles are better lol

babs is now with full tummy and feeds 9ish with mum and 11.30 and 3.30 with me and can go 4hrs

munched my banana and must go back to sleep.

Night ladies. Well tech morning x

JODIEwantsanewname · 25/03/2010 07:58

Morning all,

blondes glad you had a better night! and have a nice morning off today

trimmer we will all be lovely and slim for the summer It's nice to have a dress goal isn't it! I keep trying mine on, just to see. I can't wait for it to fit!

Bebe well done on freezing everything. Hope DD is better for you today!

piste the less you have to lose, the more it slows down, you also need less calories the less you weigh, so when you started you might have 'been allowed' 1600 cal,but now it might be more like 1300, so maybe try upping the excersise level? (You probably already knew this though )

PBM those seeds sounds yummy, I wonder if they sell them over here?

I really need to try those pitta Pizza's they sound lovely.. What do you do again? [thick emoticon]

I really ache today, I spend about 3 hours in the garden yesterday (at 200cal per 30mins!) I've dug and weeded and potted, garden is starting to take shape, DS1 wants to plant some veg, so I've sorted out some pots for him and hauled 3 great big bags of compost around, we've got tomatoes, carrots, lettuce, mange tout and radishes to pot, but as usual, today is too wet to do it! oh well, we have easter bonnets to make anyway [hate crafts emoticon]

bebejones · 25/03/2010 08:42

I feel like I am slowing down on weight loss too! Probably not really, but just feel stuck in a food rut which is making me feel like I'm stuck on weight loss too!!

Jodie - will do you a swap, you can come & do my garden as it's sunny here at the moment & I'll come to yours and make Easter bonnets [hate gardening, love crafts emoticon]!

Blondes - glad last night was better! Have a nice snooze this morning!

Going to walk to Tesco in a bit for some odds and ends, so at least I'll get some exercise. DH has stayed home today as DD is still not 100% and was awake alot last night and woke at 6 with her horrid cough! Swimming probably out of the question for Friday with DD poorly, so will have to make an effort to do Davina. The backs of my arms are still a bit achey from doing it the other day!

GettinTrimmer · 25/03/2010 10:20

Can you do our eggs as well bebe? Hope dd is better soon. I've just done Clare and Davina, just hope I'm not as sore as last time.

blondes I know what you mean about breast is best but sometimes bottles are better, my ds used to take ages with his night feeds.

jodie You put me to shame with all that gardening, one thing I should do but don't do!

Agree about upping the exercise level as well Jodie.

Grr stupid phone crashed again... Anyways i was being envious of ur baba doing 4hr stretches of sleep Blondes ds1 was over a yr & ds2 was about 18 months when i could even dream of getting stretch like that it goes so quick though and now they actually know sleep is something nice my dh thinks iv an unhealthy love for sleep little does he know i actually on mn all night and sleep very little really... Jodie what a fab amount of gardening id love to hav a garden & make it all pretty & functioning... i grew up on a farm & never cared bout it but wud luv it now am off to make Blondes pitta pizzas (jodie jus slice em open top wit wat ya fancy i love toms, red onion, olives, corn & pepper chopped &mixd up salsa style then i grate a lil chedder & sprinkle some italian herbs on top pop under da grill... enjoy... yum)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 25/03/2010 14:03

Woooo hoooooooooo

Out of desperation I had to buy a pair of trousers because I had run out of clothes that fit .....

and I've bought another smaller size ( 14), sort of linen-y black things and they FIT!!!! This is my second smaller size since we started

and a bit more...

and maybe a bit more....

still wearing the same tops because I have shoulders the width of barn doors, but they are baggy!

GettinTrimmer · 25/03/2010 14:33

Way hay Piste!!!!!

OP posts:
RatherBeOnThePiste · 25/03/2010 14:59

Thanks GT - am feeling quite slinky malinky today!

GettinTrimmer · 25/03/2010 15:58

I'm more Bottomley Potts today, an annoying spot has appeared on my forehead.

OP posts:
bebejones · 25/03/2010 16:14

Way to go piste!!!

DH is really struggling with his Cambridge diet & has slunk into a deep depression. Plus he thinks he may have a tooth abcyss(sp?) so is feeling ultra sorry for himself Spent ages talking to his diet counsellor & GP. GP very helpfully said, 'Oh well you're doing it now. If you had come to me first I'd have told you not to do it...but that's personal opinion, it does work but you'll feel like crap for weeks!' Well if they had offered to help him in the first place he wouldn't have go to seek out other options! He essentially needs to lose my bodyweight Do feel sorry for him but my 'motivational' comments are just making him feel guilty about wanting to quit apparently!

GettinTrimmer · 25/03/2010 17:30

bebe sorry to hear dh is fed up. Will he get his possible absess checked out? I know my db was offered an appt with the dietician, his weakness is beer and needs to lose about 4 stone. Would the GP not refer him?

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 25/03/2010 17:34

JODIE pitta pizza recipe lightly toast 2 pitta bread (5), spread with tomarto puree (0) and then add 2 slices of ham (1) chopped and 30g of lf cheese (2.5) s 8.5p - you can get baby pitta which are 1/2p each so would save points there or even get ww pittas - well done on gardening

BEBE dont give up - try new foods/exersice and sure you will lose weight

TRIMMER well done on exercise - i have done none this week as been working nights with my baby - who is so cute btw and now on bottles at night, means mummy sleeps and rests and then bf during the day

PBM all my babies sleep well in the night, and sleep 7-7 by 12weeks - i just bully train them - its easy when you havent got them tugging on your heart strings, plus bottles are a godsend as can see how much baby has had

PISTE fab you have got into smaller clothes

TRIMMER sure your spot isnt that noticeable

BEBE hope your dh diet counsellor helps soon - shakes are a quick way to boost weight loss and maybe then he can do he with you

alas my so sexy brown suede trousers still dont fit but they will hopefully in july

lovely day off, just catching up with sleep/chores and tv - and back with baby in 3.5hrs time

i had pitta pizza for luch and cant decide what to have for tea or i will raid the babys mums cupbaord (which im welcome to) bt it has chococlate/crisps etc in it

eating a banana at 4am ish is hopefully better than eating chuncks of chococlate

weight day tomorrow for me - again a lb would be good

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/03/2010 04:00

Just fed babs and eaten my usual banana

here's hoping that eating at 4am doesn't alter my weight loss in 5hrs time

wish me luck ladies

GettinTrimmer · 26/03/2010 07:19

Good luck Blondes I've just had a very big banana for my brekkie!

bebejones · 26/03/2010 09:06

Well done Blondes!

Where are all these people on the list? Haven't seem alot of them in ages, including Dis, hope they are all ok?!

Having a really stressful week. Hardly sleeping as DD is coughing barking all night. I'm starting to think it's not a throat infection but possibly croup. Her temp just wont stay down for more than a couple of hours even with all the calpol. When she starts coughing she really strugles to breathe & sounds awful! Poor baby!

DH caved and had a jacket potato last night. He looked awful & said he thought he was going to faint! Just don't think it's going to work out, he's now talking about SW, which means I'll be back to cooking 2-3 different meals a night!

On a positive note we are showing the (hopefully) new tennant round the flat 2moro morning. He is someone DH knows, so fingers crossed!

Poohbearsmom · 26/03/2010 10:35

Congrats piste well done Blondes id be delighted wit a lb prob be a gain this wk for me but thats my own fault... Few more wks for up lovely trousers ah Bebe in so sorry it hasnt worked out for dh personally i think the likes of cambridge diet r the hardest most unpleasent way of trying to get healthy, we all know here there are so many lovely foods we can enjoy and still loss weight but being restricted to shakes must be very hard esp for someone who is (like meself) used to eatin loads... Hope he feels better soon and he finds either a plan or group that suits him and really helps him have they ever given dd a preventivite inhaler? She jus sounds like she is going through what my ds wnt through id def bring her to da dr/hosp if she is wheezy & the antibots hav done nothing to help, they will look after ye so well n da hosp if they r anything like they r here. uv bn goin thru alot Bebe well done for stickin wit da diet xxx

bebejones · 26/03/2010 11:41

Thanks PBM! Biggest problem is DH is so fussy. He hardly likes any fruit or veg & won't eat salad. Doesn't even like most of my soups apart from tomato! So I'll end up cooking sometimes different things for myself, DD & DH! I'm sick of the washing up!

DD is loads more herself today, but now she is getting tired the cough is rearing its head again. 2moro is her last day of AB's so if she is no better will ring out of hours service for some advice.

Going to buy some new 'house trousers' 2moro as all mine are huge on me now. I can't get up or down the stairs without them falling down! Wonder what size they will be?!?!?!

laughalot · 26/03/2010 12:46

Everyone is doing so well lets keep going girls !!! I never thought I would get to the point were I am angry that my trousers keep falling down lol. I have a particular pair of jeans that just dont stay up im forever pulling them up.

I am varying depending on the shop between a 14 and a 16 nearly all my stuff is a 16 but its a great feeling to be going down and not up a size. Are we keeping the diet going through the summer ?

GettinTrimmer · 26/03/2010 16:14

Afternoon all

Blondes well done on your 1lb.

bebe hope dd is better soon and dh finds something he can stick with. I know someone who did the Cambridge, she couldn't sustain it when she started exercising. Happy shopping tomorrow!

laughalot I need to keep going until August at least, it's taken me 3 months to lose a stone, so would be another 3 months(ish) then perhaps we can maintain together? I do not want to put it back on again like I have before.

I've had nearly 1200 calories already today, so need to eat something really low in cals for tea, was thinking of a stir-fry. Any other suggestions for something really low cal?
